“Well,” Piers sighed after a moment, “I suppose that would be troubling.” He fidgeted in his seat. “Beautiful as she is — and oh, she is quite fine — that psychic is as chaotic as a sack full of cats.” Gilbert snorted before he realized I was the only one with no idea who they were talking about, and he moved in closer. “Sabine is extremely powerful,” he said softly. “She’s very talented and well-respected. No one knows exactly how long she’s been around, but long enough that her appearances are usually an ill omen.” He seemed far grimmer than usual. “We avoid her whenever we can.” His hazel gaze flickered back to Fenris. “Where is she? Peru?” Fenris shook his head. “No. Tallahassee.” Gilbert only darkened. “Why, might I ask, are we running toward her rather than away?” Fenris snorted
