Chapter 20 Getting Ready

Jayce's POV

After that life changing soul intertwining moment with my mate.. I couldn't feel more complete than I do in this moment. Her hand trails all over my exposed skin, massaging every last little knot out of my stress-filled body.

I close my eyes just enjoying her gently pressured touch and sweet engulfing scent, because that seems to the be the combination for calming my soul.

I know I'm Alpha and I have to get back to reality at some point, but for this moment right now, I'm just going to enjoy this with her for as long as I can.. Who knows how many more times I'm just going to have moments like this with her. Life is never certain so I'm taking advantage and enjoying as much as I'm allowed to in this lifetime.

The mating and marking process ended up being so much more than I ever imagined.. she made everything seem so right.. that I will be replaying this moment in my head until the day I die. From her euphoric cries out of pleasure to the sight of every last inch of her stunning body.. I won't forget one detail of this ever. I'm the luckiest being on this planet. I don't know what I did to deserve her but I wouldn't trade these moments for the world.

I sink into the water so it covers over my shoulders as I lean back, laying on her. Her hands trail over my chest and gently playing with the hair on it. I close my eyes taking a deep breath in before slowly letting it out as I feel my body relax more than I ever thought I could. I reminisce about our fun morning and everything I have experienced with her so far and I can't believe how amazing all of this has been.. and it just somehow keeps getting better and better when I keep thinking it can't get better than this, being proved wrong once again.. creating a smirk on my face that I can't even remotely hold back. I don't think I have smiled this much in my whole lifetime.

"What are you thinking about?" She asks me in a hushed tone causing her breath to tickle my ear from behind. "Just how amazing all of this is.. I'm just so happy I found you.. I keep thinking I can't get happier and then here I am getting happier.. you have a real effect on me that I never expected, let alone anticipated." I reply back without hesitation.

"I'm glad to know you're loving this as much as I am." she says so sweetly into my ear as she continues to rub over my chest before kissing over my earlobe.

"Let's stay in here forever.. if we lock ourselves in here, then no one will bother us right?" Milo asks me as I just chuckle at that comment. "What's so funny handsome?" She asks me as I smile and respond, "Well Milo has decided that if we lock the door we can just stay in here forever together." I say to her as she giggles and hugs me tight in her arms. "I love that idea.. but I do need to be outside at some point.. maybe we can just sneak out for a little bit." She says playfully making me smile.

"We can do that, because we do have to leave this room at some point I suppose.. my mom and sister will break down the door if I keep you hidden up here too long honestly. They already love you." I say to her as she states in a strained tone. "I just hope everyone will eventually like me."

"They will my love I swear.. If anything they are just protective over me which isnt a bad thing.. but they will see the amazing being you are.. just give it time." I try to reassure her as she quickly replies. "What about your pack? They might not like me."

"I don't care if they like you or not because they have no choice in who is chosen for ME... M.. E.. not them.. me." I state confidently making sure she knows what she means to me.

"Ok, after we get out of here we should go for a walk and show me around my new home." She suggests to me as I just nod. "That sounds good my love.. I'll see if we can set you up with some clothing to choose from." I say to her as she humms in response still caressing over my upper body.

"Roxie, do you have any extra clothing that my mate could borrow at least?" I ask my sister just hoping she will have some things for her that she made.

"Yea I have a good amount she can have, Lee and I have been trying new styles and ideas, making so much more, so I'll give her the extras we have so far.. I'll be over there in a minute." She replies instantly as I retort. "We are in the bath at the moment so give us a minute as well."

"Ohhh a bath? Is that what you call all the ruckus from this morning?" Roxie teases me as I groan and roll my eyes. "We are taking a bath now so don't worry about what we did before that.. but just so you know she is officially mine now." I say with so much pride laced through every single word.

"Yes! I'm so excited for you JayJay! You deserve that happiness! See you in a minute." She states to me as I say to Persephone. "Percy my love, my sister is headed over here with clothing so we should at least cover up a little, since the bathroom door is wide open."

"Ok fine.. We will have to do this again soon.. all of it please." She says with a desperation that just makes me smile as I respond matching her emotions. "Will do Percy.... Anything for you. Honestly, I would like to see someone try and stop me." I hear her giggle from behind me as I stretch out.

I stand up, just giving the water a moment to trail down my body and back into the tub. That is until I feel a pinch on my buttcheek followed by a giggle as I watch her wings flutter, taking her out of the room without even having to step a foot on the floor. Leaving me in an awe watching her body do this like it's normal, and to her it might be.

I drain the water before grabbing a towel for myself then an extra for my mate. I get into the room but a moment too late because my sister opens the door just letting herself in.. which I don't mind.. What I do mind is that my little brother Daniel was passing by and saw my fully naked mate.

By the look in his wide eyes I think it's safe to say he loved it. I growl in warning making them jump, before covering my mate with the towel since she looks mortified at this point.

"I'm sorry, I knocked a couple times but I guess you didn't hear it so I let myself in. I just figured you were still in the tub.. I was just going to drop these off." Roxie says lifting the big bundle of clothing items that she brought, looking guiltier than ever.

"It was my mistake as well just coming out like this when I knew you were at least headed over." Persephone says to her trying to make her feel better. "No wonder we heard so much going on in here this morning.. who could not ravage you looking that delectable." Daniel says to my mate earning a louder growl from me.. I know he is a ladies man and all.. but not my lady.. I thought he would just get it out of his system after the first couple conversations but I keep having to threaten and warn him and it's starting to really get frustrating. But he is my brother so I'm not trying to start a fight but if he is going to keep throwing himself at my mate there is going to be issues.

"Leave Daniel.. Before I rip your eyes out just for seeing my mate naked.. You're lucky you're my brother." I say in more of a threatening tone than I have ever used on him. I feel a hand to my chest gaining my attention and it's Persephone trying to calm me down. I didn't realize my hands are clenched so tight that my knuckles are white.

"Don't worry about him my love.. I'm all yours." She coos to me as I quickly wrap my arm around her torso possessively, while pulling her in just so I can't breath in her scent to calm down.

My brother puts his hands up in surrender as he rolls his eyes and leaves the doorway in a huff. "What's been his problem?" Roxie asks no one in particular about our brother Daniel, just shrugging her shoulders before setting the clothing on the bed. I head straight to the door and shutting it so we don't have to worry about that happening again.

"So I brought over a couple items for you to have.. and even some shoes if you want.. and if you need more don't hesitate to ask.. Leeann and I made these so we could always make more." She says to my mate creating a bigger smile then I imagined on that beautiful face.

I watch my mate embrace my sister into a big hug making the both of them smile. "Thank you for these, they are beautiful." She states before turning around and going to her satchel.

She rummaged through her satchel for a minute before pulling out something. I watch her turn around and putting whatever it is into her hand. "Here! It's a good luck charm given to me by the mermaids.. I helped their leader unknowingly so in return for my kindness, they gave me a small purse filled with them to wish me a lifetime of luck and good happenings." She explains to her as I notice my sister open her hand to see a bright glistening blue stone in her palm.

"Really for me? That's so sweet and such a great little interesting story that I will insist on knowing more about later.. I'll have to tell my mother about that so we can both pick your brain!" She says with so much excitement. "Here in that case, you can give one to your mother and sister as well for helping make these to give me." She says prancing over to her satchel again, to get her another couple stones to give my other sister and my mother.

"That's so nice of you! I think I have something I can put this on to wear too! Call me if you guys need anything.. I'm going to head back down stairs and give these to my sister and mother!" She states with so much enthusiasm in her voice. She gives us a hug and bow, slightly making us laugh before she bolts out the door, slamming it behind her to give us a chance to get changed.

"Well that made her day for sure." I say to Persephone as she waves it off. "Well she made my day by bringing these beautiful garments.. Thank you for asking her for these for me. That was sweet of you.. I don't know how I got so lucky to have you in my life." She states to me making me smile just as big as she is now.

"Like I said, anything for you." I say causing a purr to emerge because apparently Milo liked what I had to say as well so he purred in approval making her smile bigger.

"Let's get dressed and go wander around.. Maybe get something to eat?" She suggests to me as I nod vigorously. "Yes after our fun morning I need something in my system." I agree with her before we both start to get dressed wandering around the room using anything we need to before we finish up and leave the room, to my dismay.
