Chapter 14 Unexpected Meet Up

Jayce's POV

We are in a very tight embrace that I'm just loving right now because this is what the both of us really needed.. more than I think we both realized. This whole moment has been the stress relief we deserved.. Life out here, in this world right now is dark and crazy, so you have to appreciate the calming moments we do get, when we get them.

I softly kiss her head another time as I take in her sweet scent just letting the calming aroma fill my lungs before I state. "Let's get going my love.. it's probably not safe for us to keep wandering out here, especially with the sun going down now."

She nods her head into my chest as she leans back away from me then wiping her eyes. "You're right, it's not safe." She agrees without any argument before turning around to get back onto our dedicated path. But actually I think I want to take one last detour, since we are closer than I thought to my pack lands.. We are actually right on the brim of our border.. so practically there anyways.

The blue and gray cloud covered sky is now turning to shades of yellow, pink and orange making the scene so calming to behold. I take her hand into mine as I guide her over to a big boulder that looks big enough to hold the both of us on top of it. I lead her onto it as she goes without hesitation.. I'm suprised by how much she trusts me already.. but appriciate it all the same.

I sit down next to her as I wrap my arm around her shoulders pulling her in, with the both of us facing the mesmerizing mountains that are covered in darker shades of pink, orange and blue. Making this one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen besides my mate of course.

"I thought we were suppose to be continueing to your pack lands?" She asks curiously, glancing up at me. "Yes.. that's what I was going to do, until I saw this beautiful sunset and wanted to really enjoy this quiet moment with you before we have to get back to my pack.. I know you're use to being alone but I'm not.. I need this for my sanity.. and you're helping out with that much more than you even know.. besides, we are practically back to OUR pack lands anyways." I state to her because I want to make sure she knows how much I appriciate her and how welcome she is with me.

Persephone doesn't object one bit as she just nods and scooting closer into my comforting embrace. I feel her head lay against my chest as she just melts into my frame.

We enjoy this amazingly stunning moment together until we are abruptly brought out of it by a deep voice that rumbles the ground at his shouting. "So where do you have my brother you disgusting Alpha?"

We both jump not expecting that at all. We turn around cautiously, taking a look at who it is.. and it's another Cyclops, obviously looking for his brother we took hostage for attacking on our lands.

"He has some questioning to answer for, about why he was on our lands.. so we have him safely inside to talk to." I explain to him as he swipes, since being closer than I expected, hitting me in the chest sending me flying across the way and slamming into the ground. The wind is knocked out of my system as I wheeze and gasp for air just rolling on the ground.

I hear a squeal from Persephone as I try to get up as fast as I can, which ends up being slower than expected.. I turn, looking over at him with his hand wrapped around her torso. She is struggling in his hold trying to get out but can't seem to.

"Let.. her.. go." I try to demand with what little voice I can muster up.. but sadly it's not even remotely intimidating, like I was hoping. "Oh her? Is this your little mate Alpha? A fae? That's unheard of.. but how about I just hold onto her until you give me my brother.. Sound like a good deal? Because it sounds good to me." He says as she squeezes her tighter into his grip. She groans out in pain as I stand as fast as I can, putting my hands up in surrender.

"Ok.. Ok you have a deal.. Just please stay here and don't hurt her.. We will have him out in a minute." I say to him as I mindlink my Beta Theodore, brother Daniel and my Gamma Andrew.

"Guys I need you now.. I need you to bring the Cyclops out and to the west end of the property.. his brother has come to claim him and has taken my mate for the trade.. I need him now.. he is hurting her so don't waste anymore time." I demand of them as I hear a unison, "Yes Alpha." right away in response.

I turn looking up at the Cyclops as I state, "They are bringing him out now.. just please don't hurt her." I beg of him as he squeezes her tighter in his grip stating. "I don't know how patient I really am wolf.. if they don't get here fast enough I will just squeeze the pixie dust right out of her." He states as she quickly responds. "Only pixies have pixie dust."

I smirk up at that liking her feisty attitude in the face of danger.. and luckily I can see my men with the other Cyclops behind them in the distance.

"Are you calling me stupid fae?" He says squeezing her tighter as she reaches down pulling something out of her satchel. "Yes I do think your stupid just like your brother. Next time dont hurt the ones who are suppose to help you." She puts her hand out as she blows something into his face. He steps back, then stumbling abruptly. He let's her go as his eyes roll back along will his body that falls backwards to the ground. She falls to the ground in a huff as I run to her side, grabbing her arm to help her up.

"Are you ok Percy? What did you do to him? Is he dead?" I inquire from her as she shakes her head at me. She starts dusting herself off as she explains. "The sleeping powders I have work wonders on all creatures because they are very powerful.. So no he is not dead.. no matter how mad he made me from hitting you like that.. are you ok?" She asks touching me to make sure I'm fine. I love the extra attention and even protectiveness she is providing me.. she can pamper me anytime.

I open my mouth to answer as we hear, "What did you do to him Fae?!" from the other Cyclops who is now running our way, right out of the chains my men have around him.

Persephone puts her hands up as her wings flutter so rapidly bringing her up to his eye level. "He is fine.. just sleeping! He hurt me and my mate and he had to be taught a lesson.. You know all about that don't you?! Now just get him and be on your way.. he will be awake soon.. and totally refreshed.. goodbye." My mate demands of him as he looks confused but doesn't object. He listens to her instructions by taking his brother over his shoulder and slowly walking away.

She flutters down slowly watching him leave.. I think making sure he is actually leaving before she let's her guard down. Once he is out of sight she puts her feet to the ground then runs to me as I open my arms to her, then groaning in pain as I hold my ribs.

"Jay!" She yells for me as she quickly gets to my side. I watch her put her hands gently to my side as she starts to chant under her breathe making my insides hurt and almost burn until all the pain is completely gone as if it didn't even happen.

I push and touch all over my ribs not feeling any pain or even discomfort. "Thanks Percy.. are you ok?" I ask her touching her face softly as she smiles and nods at me. "As long as you're ok I'm ok." She says softly to me, making me smile so big that you couldn't slap the smile off my face if you tried.

"That was awesome! How did you knock that Cyclops out?!" I can hear Drew, my Gamma's voice trailing over to us, gaining our attention. We both turn as my guys run up to our sides. "Hi.. um.. I used a sleeping powder on him." She softly explains looking nervous now.

"Oh I thought you killed him!" Drew states to her as she vigorously shakes her head. "No she is a light fae, she doesn't like to hurt any beings, she only does if she has to." Theo explains to them as they nod in understanding.

"So brains and stunningly beautiful looks.. how did my brother get so lucky." Daniel states stepping closer to Persephone as he takes her hand into his, then kissing the back of it before adding. "If my brother screws this up with you at all.. Just know I'm always here malady." He says slightly bowing as she giggles shaking her head at him before replying, "Oh you don't have to worry about that.. He is perfect for me.. Thanks anyways.. I'm assuming you're Daniel?" She asks as he nods and winking at her. "The one and only."

She glances over at me as she states, "Jay told me all about you Daniel.. So make sure when your around me, please keep the affections to a minimum.. You know out of respect."

The guys, "Ooooohhh!" at her response as I watch her take her hand from his, making me smile even bigger.. That's my feisty little mate for you.

"Yes my Luna.. No disrespect meant." He says staying bowed. She reaches out to him helping him stand as she replies. "It's ok.. I'm not offended. I'm just making sure you know who I'm here for. I'm his mate and his alone."

He nods vigorously at her as the other two come up to her extending their hands for her to take. "That was awesome.. Not many have turned down a stud like Dan.. I'm Drew it's nice to meet you.. I have heard a great deal about you so far.. but everything I have heard has not compared to how beautiful you really are." He states to her shaking her hand.

"Oh really? Thank you Drew.. It's nice to meet you as well.. your his.. Gamma? Am I correct?" She asks as he nods his head in approval. "Yes my Luna."

She smiles as he steps to the side to give Theo a chance to shake her hand. "I never got to formally meet you, nor thank you for saving me both times. So thank you my Luna.. My name in Theo, I'm his.." He starts as she finishes, "Beta.. yes he told me about you as well.. it was no problem at all to save you.. both times.. It was partially my fault as well.. I'm just glad I could help." She finishes shaking his hand as I wrap my arm around her posessively pulling her over to me, to make sure these guys know.. Even though I know they do know she is mine.. I'm just covering all bases.

"That's right, make sure that they know how serious you are about her! Because I saw the way they were looking at her" Milo declares as I internally laugh at that reaction.

"Let's head inside.. I think I have had enough action for today." I state to them as they all laugh then Daniel replies. "It's not over yet Big Jay.. Ma, Lee and Rox are excited to see you and your incredibly gorgeous little mate." He states then winking at Persephone causing me to growl.. Milo is letting him know that his affections for my mate are noticed and not appriciated. I feel I hand go to my chest as my mate leans into me.

"Shhhh.. It's ok my handsome Alpha.. I'm all yours.. Don't forget that, I know I won't." Persephone purrs into my ear. As I take a deep breath of her sweet scent calming my nerves as I nod pulling her protectively into my frame more.

"Thank you Percy.. I needed that." I whisper to her as she smiles and nods at me. "Come on handsome, let's head in." She instructs as I agree, nodding with her and starting our last little trek... home.
