NEXT MORNING
MEHTA MANSION:
It’s 6:30 Palak wakes up lazily. Shutting off the alarm she gets up from the bed and directly moves to balcony. She sees so many birds and an instance smile comes on her face. She has this fascination for birds but she doesn’t want to cage them. She changed in sweat pants and T-shirt wearing her sneakers , she left for walk in garden. After an hour, she reaches home and sees everyone present in living room and wishing morning she left to take a shower. After taking shower, she is getting ready when her phone rings and she hurriedly picks up as it is Tani’s call.
Tani – Where the hell were you yesterday you said that you will call me after finishing your work with Ritwik and still you didn’t call me and now I’m going to kill you.
Palak – I’m sorry, I was tired so forget to call you.
Tani – Stop giving your lame excuses and why did you follow back Ritwik.
Palak – How the hell you know?
Tani – It’s obvious I stalk you everyday.
Palak – Haww, you stalker, am I your girlfriend or boyfriend that you are stalking me.
Tani – Eww, I’m straight and it’s my birth right to stalk you so I can keep eye on your account because I don’t want any creeps following you.
Palak – First he was THE RITWIK OBEROI to you and now he is creep for you.
Tani – I’m not talking about Ritwik, I was talking about other guy and don’t change the topic why did you follow him. What happened at yesterday’s evening that you followed back Ritwik?
Palak – Nothing sort of happened he just asked for friendship and I accept it.
Tani – He asked you for friendship, THE RITWIK OBEROI asked you!!!
Palak – Yes, your the RITWIK OBEROI asked me.
Tani - This is not a small thing you dumb head.
Palak – I’m not dumb head it’s not that big thing he just asked for friendship and I said yes.
Tani – OK fine, it is not a big thing for you but for me and many other girls.
Palak – Can we stop this Ritwik’s topic? Don’t we have any other topics to discuss.
Meanwhile Smita shouts from living room, “ Palak come fast, everyone is waiting for you and you will get late also.” Her voice reached to Tani also.
Palak – OK Mumma is calling I’ll talk later bye.
Tani – okay fine go, bye.
She hangs up the call, getting ready fast she moves out of the room. Everyone are sitting at dinning table and having breakfast.
“Palak, I need your help.” Dadi said.
“Yes, tell me dadi, what help you need.”
“I want you to print invitation cards for all the donors. I’ll send you the list of guests with their address so send it to them as early as you can.” Dadi said.
“You don’t worry dadi, I’ll do as soon as possible.” Palak said.
“Thanks beta.” Dadi said.
With little conversation of here and there they finished their breakfast.
When they all left for their respective works.
OBERIO VILLA:
ITS 6 AM few minutes later Ritwik wakes up and stretching his body, he gets up from the bed and moves towards washroom to freshen up and after sometime left for the gym. After gyming for an hour with Manav, Jenny and Ruhani, he lefts to take a shower and after getting ready in formals, he moves towards dinning table. He is having breakfast with everyone when Jenny asks Ruhani about yesterday, “How was your first day at office?”
“It was pretty good, I learned new things and staff is also coming operative. But you know what happened yesterday?” Ruhani said
Listening this everyone’s attention is now on Ruhani.
“What happened?” Jenny said
Ruhani narrates the whole incident which happened between Palak and truck driver and how Ritwik solved that issue by himself. Hearing this everyone takes it normally but Kushan is little suspicious that about which girl Ruhani is talking?
Before Kushan can say anything, Manav asks Ruhani, “ Who was that girl?”
“She is Palak Mehta.” Ruhani said and listening this Manav and Kushan looks at Ritwik. Ritwik notices Manav but he didn’t know Kushan is also giving him look.
“It’s good that she didn’t make big issue of it because it will be considered as our fault.” Asha said.
With little more discussion and talks , they finished their breakfast and they retarded to their respective works expect Ruhani and Kushan because he told her that he needs to talk something important.
Ruhani enters in Kushan study room and she sees him standing him by window.
“Dad you wanted to talk something?”
“Uumm yes, actually I wanted to ask you something.”
“Yes dad tell me.”
“Do you know that girl? ”
“About which girl are you asking”
“I am talking about Palak Mehta, do you know her?”
“No, I just saw her yesterday but why are you asking, is there anything I should know.”
“I-wanted-to.”
“Why are you stammering dad, tell me what’s with Palak Mehta.”
Kushan tells her everything about Palak and Ritwik which he got to know from Manav.
“So, you both thinks that bhai likes that girl?”
“I don’t know even Ritwik is confused about his feelings but I think that girl is nice.”
“If you think that Palak is good for bhai then why don’t you talk about this with him.”
“First let him be sure for that girl then I’ll talk to him.”
“Okay dad, as you wish. But can I go? ”
“Actually you can go but before that I want your help.”
“What help? ”
“Can you keep an eye on Ritwik when he is around Palak?”
“You want me to spy on them?”
“I didn’t mean in that sense you just keep an eye on him and his behavior and tell me about it.”
“OK dad I’ll do it for you, now can I go?”
“Sure, come I’ll drop you.” Saying this he left with Ruhani to drop her at Oberoi’s.
AT OBEROI’S
From tonight function’s are going to start so there is lots of hustle and bustle going on to see the last minute arrangements and because of that Palak is hell busy, she is roaming here there to check things whether they are up to mark or not. She is checking the stage and decors when Ritwik comes there and stands besides her but she did not acknowledges his presence.
“That’s look beautiful. ” Hearing his voice, Palak head snapped in his direction and sees that he is looking at the décor of the stage.
“Yes it is!! Mr. Oberoi do you need something?”
“No, I just come to check on everything. But if you need my help then do tell me!”
“Actually Mr. Oberoi I need your help.”
“Yes tell me what is it.”
“I want to see all these from the top.”
“Ya sure, come we will go on terrace from there you can get your decors top view.”
“You just show me the way I will go by myself. You don’t need to bother”
“There is nothing to bother, come I will accompany you.”
They both moves inside and Ritwik is going to open lift when suddenly Palak stops him.
“Mr. Oberoi can we go by stairs if you don’t have any problem?”
“Is there any problem with lift?”
“No, it’s just that I want to take stairs.”
“Ok I don’t have any problem, come we will go by stairs.”
They both are climbing the stairs and they are about to reach.
“Can I ask you something?” Ritwik said looking at Palak.
“Sure, go ahead.”
“Why you want to see everything from the top?”
“Actually I have this weird habit to see all the decors from the top because it looks more beautiful.”
Palak is looking at decors and smiling to her fullest and Ritwik is looking at her sitting on the edge of terrace and he is smiling like a fool looking at her.
Before she can turn towards him he diverted his gaze from her.
“Mr. Oberoi come here and have a look.” Ritwik goes and stands besides her and looks at the venue.
“It looks more beautiful from here.”
“That's why I checks everything at last from the top because it gives different look from here.”
“I like this thought and Ms. Palak well done, you have done a really good job.”
“That’s not because of me, those workers has done it beautifully.”
“But you supervise them!”
“It’s true but hardworking is theirs.”
“OK fine, it is yours and theirs hard work, happy now?”
After sometime they both go downstairs and resume their works and Palak is doing something when her phone rings. She sees the callers Id and it is dadi.
Dadi - Hello beta
Palak – Hello dadi
Dadi – I called you to inform that my office boy will email you the guests list shortly.
Palak – OK dadi, I’ll check it and by tomorrow I will send them all.
Dadi – OK beta, we will talk later.
Saying this she hangs up the call.
Here, Ruhani is trying hard to spy on her brother but she didn’t get chance to see him with Palak and she being busy with her own work didn’t get much time.
The whole day was past in jiffy and now it’s time for function to start.
