Dinner with her family

THIRD PERSON POV:

AT MEHTA’S OFFICE:

Palak and her team is about to leave for Oberoi’s. When Shekhar’s PA informs Palak that sir is waiting for you in his cabin. She move towards his cabin and taking his permission she enters.

“You called me, sir?” She asks entering inside.

“Jyare koi na hoye tyare mane sir kehvani jaroor nathi.” Shekhar told her (No need to call me sir when no one is around)

“Su karvanu aadat padi gai che.” Palak said (I’m habitual to it, what to do)

“OK fine leave it, I called you here to inform that today you leave little early for home.”

“Why dad anything serious?”

“Nothing serious, your mom tell me to inform you this.”

“OK no problem, I’ll leave by five.” Saying this she leaves the cabin.

Then she leaves with her team for Oberoi’s.

AT OBEROI’S:

Palak with her team reach and starts working at venue. Ritwik is busy in completing all his work by evening as he have to go for dinner at Mehta’s by eight. Whole day was busy for Palak and Ritwik and at five, she submitting her daily report leaves for her home. Ritwik notices that today Palak has leaved early so he finds himself at fault that because of him she have to manage her chores.

AT MEHTA MANSION:

After coming home, Palak directly goes to her room and gets changed in Indian bohemian blue rayon printed kurti with palazzo pant. Then she goes to kitchen to help Smita and Kavya wearing an apron. They starts cooking and right now Palak is making Dal-Tadka and Moong Dal ka halwa. They prepared everything before time and then set the dining table.

Shekhar with Viaan are passing by the kitchen and smelling the aroma of the food he thinks to check on it. So, Shekhar with viaan in his arms checks the food dishes one by one. Seeing varieties of food Viaan gets excited and he gestures with finger towards the food and then putting that finger in mouth he tries to say that he want to eat. Understanding his baby language, Palak takes Khandvi from the bowl and feed it to Viaan. He likes it so he smiles widely.

It is eight and after sometime door bell rings. Veer opens the door and it’s Ritwik, he welcome him inside and calls everyone.

END OF THIRD PERSON POV

RITWIK’S POV:

It's 7:30, I think I should leave now. I drive towards Mehta Mansion then suddenly it strikes me that I should buy something as a gift. So, I stops at a chocolate shop and purchased dark chocolates gift hamper. Then I moved to Mehta Mansion and reaching there I get down from my car and head towards the entrance. I rang the doorbell and after a while a man in his late twenties and he looked familiar , then he welcomed me inside and called everyone.

First I greets Shekhar sir by shaking hands but he told me not to be formal and hugs me. Then I bow down to Shekhar Sir’s mother. Taking her blessings, then I greets Mrs. Mehta.

Shekhar sir introduces me with everyone then I get to Know about everyone's name and I find out that viaan is Palak's brother's son. When me, Shekhar sir and Veer were talking in meanwhile ladies set the dinner.

After sometime they calls us for dinner and we all get seated on dinning table except Ms. Palak as she is in kitchen. I'm served with whole of gujarati varieties. Everyone praises the delicious food. Then Shekhar sir asked me, “Did you like our gujarati food?"

“Yes sir!! I like the food, infact I have eaten after a long time." I said genuinely.

I had taken a sip of dal and it is sweet and I don't like it but I can't express. Then Palak comes with a bowl and seeing my plate she said to her mom, “Mumma I had told you before that tadka dal is being served to Ritwik and not our dal."

So she knows that I don't like sweet dal but wait a second how does she know this? My thoughts comes to halt when I hears her mom saying something.

“I totally forget about it” Saying she served me another dal which Palak brought for me. Palak also sits with us to have dinner. While I am taking a morsel Shekhar sir’s mother asks me, “How many members are there in your family?”

“We are family of nine members.” I replies.

“So you live in a joint family, that’s really good.” Veer said.

After sometime Smita aunty serves me more Khandvi, I denies but she didn’t budge and serves me more. While everyone is talking and having dinner, I hears viaan whispering something and Miss. Palak takes him in her lap. She is feeding him while talking in babyish tone and is looking so adorable doing that. I think she’ll become a good mother. Viaan is eating properly without any tantrums. It’s look like they both shares a good bond with each other.

After finishing our dinner we all settles in living room. Then Miss. Palak and her sister-in-law serves us Moong dal ka Halwa as dessert. I takes a spoonful of it and it tastes yum.

“Mrs. Mehta this halwa is so nice!”

“Thanks beta but I didn’t make it, Piyu made it.”

“Who’s piyu?”

“Mumma is talking about Palak, piyu is her nickname.” Palak’s sister-in-law replies.

“Oh, halwa is nice Miss. Palak”

“Thank you.” She replies with politeness.

After sometime I left thanking everyone for the dinner. I get into my car and drive to Oberoi Villa.

Today, from the time I have seen Ms. Palak in that attire I was not able to take my eyes from her. She always makes me surprise with her different looks. But why I am thinking about her? She is surely doing something to me and I am loving all this. I park my car at side and I starts asking questions to myself. Why am I loving this? Wait a second, what’s happening? Gosh!!! Why am I thinking all this. These thoughts makes me crazy. I think I should drive to home before I become mad. I reach home.

END OF RITWIK’S POV

THIRD PERSON POV:

Everyone is sitting in living room after finishing their dinner. They are talking on random topic when Manav notices Ritwik coming inside with a poker face. Ritwik sits beside Manav as it is the only sit vacant.

“How was the dinner?” Kushan asks.

“It was awesome because they made such a delicious Gujarati food.” Ritwik replies.

“Lucky you young man, we all had food when we visited Gujarat few years ago.” Kaushal said.

“What you had?” Roshni questions to Ritwik.

He describes them in detail what varieties were in dinner. After that no one asks any question about dinner and they starts talking on some random topics. From the time Ritwik has arrived Manav noticed his grumpy face. So, he asks in hush tone, “What happened Ricky? Why are you looking like a grumpy child?”

“I’m not a grumpy child.” Ritwik said annoyingly.

“OK leave all this, what happen to you. I’m noticing from the time you have arrive so don’t deny.” This time Manav asks seriously and listening this Ritwik sigh.

“Bhai can we go to the room, I don’t want to discuss it here.” Ritwik whispers slowly.

“Okay, you go to your room and freshen up and I’ll join you in sometime.” Manav also said in same tone.

Nodding positively at Manav, Ritwik excuses everyone and head towards his room.

In Ritwik’s room:

Coming inside the room, he freshen up and gets changed in vest and trousers. Then he gets settled down on his swing in his balcony. After a moment, Manav enters the room but finding it empty he goes to balcony to check on Ritwik. He notices him that he is lost in deep thoughts. Manav sites besides him and tap on his shoulder to get his attention and he said, “Now tell me what happened, why are you looking lost?” Ritwik tells him about his mixed feelings for Palak and asks him that what should he do now because he is baffle.

“But why are you confused, it’s not that hard to understand your own feeling.” Manav asks not getting Ritwik’s point.

“Because according to her I’m just CEO of Oberoi’s not more than that. I’m not even her friend.” Ritwik replied

“Than your first step to approach her is to become friends and try to know her more.” Manav suggested.

“But how should I approach her? We don’t even talk properly. Then how can you tell me to approach her for friendship.” Ritwik said and sighed.

“This is the disadvantage of being inexperience.” Manav said making fun of Ritwik

“Inexperience in what context?” Ritwik asks being confused

“You don’t know anything about relationships.” Manav said in a duh tone.

“You’re talking like you have number of relationship experience and don’t forget that Jenny Bhabhi was first and is last.” Ritwik said sarcastically.

“I was born experience that’s why I don’t need it.” Manav said in matter of fact tone.

“Bhai, we are here to talk about my problems and not about your experience.”

“Okay fine, but I can’t help you. It’s really very complicated in your situation.”

“Then leave it, I don’t want any advise from you.”

“Okay, as you wish but whenever you need me, remember that I’m always there for you and now you should sleep.”

“Okay bro, Good night.”

“Good night.” Saying this Manav left Ritwik’s room and after sometime Ritwik also sleeps putting all the mixed thoughts aside.

AT MEHTA MANSION:

After Ritwik leaves everyone is spending family time. Palak is little lost but still she is paying attention to whatever thing is going on.

Suddenly, Smita starts Ritwik’s topic saying, “Ritwik is really different from what I have read in mazgine about him.”

“Mumma you read about him? I didn’t know that you are interested in this topic.”Palak asks out of curiosity.

“Because annually Oberoi’s donates a huge amount to our orphanage that’s why she just she keeps an eye on them.” Before Smita can say anything Dadi replies to Palak and listening this Palak just said, “Ooh.”

“Yes Mumma his nature is totally opposite from what those reporters describe.” Kavya also joins Smita.

“I also noticed when he was talking with me, he didn’t show ounce of attitude to me.” Veer said.

“OK fine, he is very good, he talks very nicely, he don’t have attitude but now can we stop this Ritwik’s topic. I’m very sleepy I’m going.” Palak said being annoyed and gets up to leave from there.

“Ok princess calm down now no one will talk about him, Good night.” Shekhar said handling the situation calmly.

“Good night everyone.” Saying this she left the room and slept.

“Aane su thayu?” Dadi asks confusingly (What happened to her?)

“Mane toh lagiyu k ae Ritwik and ae Sara friends che pan aato aeno topic aavta maj ghusso thai gai.” Veer said. (I thought they are good friends but hearing about him she gets mad)

“Ae thaki gai che atle aavu boli.” Shekhar said (She is tired that’s why she behaves like this)

“Leave all this, you all know that how moody she is!” Kavya said finishing that topic there only.

After spending sometime they all retarded to their rooms to sleep.
