Chapter 9

I sat next to Malina on the brown couch, and slowly sipped the tea I summoned earlier.

"I know you have a lot of questions on your mind, especially now that I'm the leader, everybody is looking at my every move and frankly? I need to be more careful. It was stupid of me to lash out on Edward" I didn't wanted to mention about the vision and me being controlled. Although, Malina knew that I used to have visions almost a decade ago. She was the one comforting me at night after I used to wake up huffing and screaming. Now I can't believe, that same Malina is spying on me and for what reason?

"It's fine actually Aurora, you have a lot on your table right now, lashing out on Edward was probably a by product of that. I can't even suggest a vacation right now for you. The council would eat you alive, just as you were about to eat Edward alive for even coming close to you" Malina looked relaxed now as she laughed at her joke and sat comfortably on the couch and sipped on her cup of tea as well.

"Oh...so you knew why I attacked Edward in the first place?" Her smile dropped as she looked at me nervously.

"I mean, someone really noticed our interaction keenly enough to know this many details. Tell me the name of the person who is spreading the word around the castle Malina, I reallly need to know about this observant gal. I will need to thank him or her for service too, because you know, they also called Oglo at the right moment, at the right place, so pur dear Edward could be saved" I talked aggressively and put emphasis on my words. Now that I really think about it, Malina must have been the one to inform Oglo where I was and what was happening between her son and me. At least, one good thing came out of her spying on me.

"I don't know the name of the person, it was just a bunch of workers that were talking about this situation and you"

"Really? They were also talking about me? Tell me more Malina" The more she spoke, the more it sounded like she was telling the truth, but this can't be, I'm sure that she is the one that sent that peasent demon to spy on me. One of those demons must have rebelled against the other and started attacking me. That is the only possible explanation.
