Chapter Fourteen

“What is the best way to go about this?” Rem is the only one who hadn't grown up near alpha eric. “Well, Em, does he still have his morning cup of coffee out of that old cup your mom got him when you were born?” I asked thoughtfully. Ember shrugs, “Remember I've been gone, I've been at the alpha camp, it may have been a few weeks, but still” I lean against him to feel his warmth. Feeling the mate bond pull, I yawned as I listened to Snow's soft purring.

“Maybe we should focus on this later. It's late and all of us need sleep,” Em said, holding onto me. “We can't sleep here, it's too dangerous,” Isaac said as we all stood up and walked to the door.

“We have to move quickly. I know where we can go,” Em said. I knew he planned to take us to a small house we found when playing one day. The only people who knew it was there were Ember, Issac, Spark, and I. Ember would have to come back here so his father wouldn't get suspicious.

“I know you have to be back here so your father gets suspicious, however, will you please stay with me tonight?” I held onto ember, the pure thought of leaving him haunting me.

“Of course, I'll stay with you tonight. When you fall asleep I'll leave and come back here.” he kissed my head as we began to walk through the house. I felt eyes on me when we got outside of the house. I turned around and looked at the packhouse to see Eric looking out at our group.

“We need to go now,” I said as calmly as I could. Ember squeezed my hand as we walked faster. As we got to the packhouse, I told them that I had seen Eric looking at us. We all walked to the living room of the house and sat down. Due to all of being wide awake. We talked some more. We filled Rem in on how Eric was.

“Do we want this to be public or private? We can poison him or we can give him potassium that could cause a heart attack.” Rem said. I sighed and looked the three men in the eyes.

“I had to see my parents' dead bodies from a rogue attack he planned. I want him to meet a horrible public fate like my parents.” Ember grabbed my hand and kissed it.

“We will get revenge on my father for your parents' love.” Ember held onto me. “We should head to our room and get some rest, since my father knows y’all are here it's going to be a bit harder.” The boys only nodded before standing up. Isaac and Rem went to Isaac’s old room. Em, and I went to my old room since it was on the other side of the house.

I grabbed sheets from the closet and dusted them out before making the bed and lying down. Ember pulled me closer to him. I cuddled his neck, lightly kissing it.
