**Zelene** Routine and unease permeated the days following Damian's visit. I tried to focus on Mikey and settling into our new life, but my thoughts kept circling back to Damian. I couldn't quite piece together his sudden appearance, the tension in his shoulders, and the way he had looked at me. He’d called a few times since then, but the conversations were brief, his voice distant. I couldn't shake the feeling that he was concealing something significant because something was wrong.
