Chapter Eight

“No worries. I will go now and talk to her. I’ll take Alpha with me. He doesn’t want to seem to want to leave my side. This is the least I can do for Ni. Don’t worry about it.”

“Thanks Luna.” Goldie responded. “Hey Ni, I think you sparked something in Luna. Alpha won’t leave her side.” All the girls started laughing.

Just then Marley and Joy walked in. The women’s response was one of amazement. Joy said “Your dresses are beautiful! I can’t wait till we decide what style you are all going to wear.”

Marley smiled and said, “Thank you ladies for last night it was fun. You all look gorgeous. I can’t wait till I see the finished product. I better have Kleenex with me. Let me know if you need anything.”

“We will Marley.” Responded, Ni. With that Marley left.

Joy went to get her dress on and Ni said, Oh the dresses and Jewelry of your mom and dads! I totally forgot.

“Wait here is the truck unlocked.”

“I think so, if not here’s the keys. They’re in the cab. You’re going to need help.”

“I’m going to get Uncle Mick’s help.”

“You won’t get Alpha, let’s just say he’s glued to Luna’s side.” Then they started to laugh again.

“Ok you’ll have to explain that to me. When I get back.” But when she left the room. She saw them together and it made her giggle.

Luna heard her and said “Good morning Joy. What are you doing?”

“Ni’s got some boxes in her truck for Felicia along with some jewelry. That I’m bringing in. Mick’s meeting me out there. We’ll help. I owe Ni a lot” as she glanced at Ben without his noticing. Joy then at once understood and linked her. “That well huh?”

“Lets say he was doing exactly what I wanted. There was begging, whimpering, growling, moaning and screaming.”

“Good for you!” At that moment.

Mick walked out. “Let’s get those boxes love.” Lissa just raised her eyebrow and Joy smiled. The four walked out and each got a box and carried it to Felicia’s room. Mick saw his daughter and said, “Oh honey you look beautiful!”

Felicia laughed, “Not done yet dad.”

“I can’t wait to see the rest then. See you later.” With that he left.

While the girls waited for Anne they pulled out different dresses. Felicia was wowed by her mom’s fashion sense. Once they put the dresses back they took out the Jewelry. Joy said, “Pick something of your mothers to wear. I think she would have liked that. I think there’s one that will be perfect. She lifted the trays out one by one, and all the girls went looking. Joy was the one who found it. Here is the necklace and the earrings. Both are diamonds.”

“But the blue was my jewelry.” Fellicia said.

At that Anne walked in. She saw all the Jewelry sitting out. “Did you rob a jewelry store?”

Joy smiled and said, “She’s concerned about the something blue…oh no something borrowed.”

Anne smiled warmly holding a box and said. “You both forgot but I had the borrowed blue.” Handing the box to Felicia.

With a funny look, she took the box and opened it. It was a blue bracelet that just happened to match her mom’s jewelry. Felicia smiled so brightly it lit up her eyes. It matches my mom’s set perfectly. Look!” and pulled Anne over to where they had laid down the jewelry.

Anne smiled, “It does go perfectly.” Anne and Felicia’s mother had been friends and now their children were marrying. It was something they had always talked and laughed about. “Felicia I’m not sure you know this, but your mom and I were friends. When you and Joe were younger we used to talk and laugh about what if the two of you got married and were mates in the future. You used to chase each other around all the time. It was cute then. Now it’s still cute cause he’s still chasing you, just in a totally different way. I am positive your parents are looking down at you with such pride. Come here. I saw one of these had your father’s things and I have an idea. You tell me if you think it’s a good one.” They went to the one with men’s jewelry. There was a set of diamond cuff links and a pocket watch with an inscription.

Felicia looked at her quizzically and Anne said. Your father were married in these as your mother was married in those. And she pointed with head. The watch was a gift from your mother to your father. I was with her when she had it inscribed. It says, ‘to my forever lover, love your wife’. Let’s use the box I brought the bracelet and let’s give it to Joe. What do you say?”

Felicia teared up as everyone else in the room did. Everyone had gone quiet. “Yes. Yes let’s do that. But I can’t give it to him! He’s not supposed to see me.”

But he can see his mother. “I’m going to tell him the story ok?” Again, Felicia nodded. “I’ll be right back dear.”

“Ok we’ll be here momma Anne.” Joy went up to her and hugged her as Felicia cried. It wasn’t real sadness; it was just a moment of emotion and the heavy meaning behind it.”

“Joe, it’s your mom. Where are you?”

“I’m on my way to the pack house. What’s up?”

“Well, I’m already there. I’ll wait for you at the end of the hallway to Alpha’s office.”

“Is everything ok?”

“Yes, just that Felicia and her…birth parents have a gift for you. I’ll explain when you get here.”

“Ok.” Joe said noticing the emotion in his mother’s voice. He had picked up his dad on the way. “Dad mom just linked me. She has something for me from Felicia and her birth parents. How can that be?”

Alan smiled. Knowing that Anne and Felicia’s mom were friends. He also knew about the watch because Anne had told him about it when they got it because Anne was so happy to be a part of it. He wasn’t sure that’s what Anne had but he wouldn’t be surprised. “Well let’s not make your mother wait. The other ladies are probably waiting on her.”

When they got there. Anne was waiting. Alan took his son’s suit and folded it over his arm with this. Standing next to his wife, giving her a kiss, seeing that she had been seeping as she called it cause it wasn’t a full cry.

“Mom what’s going on? Is everything ok? Why are you seeping?”

“Son let’s sit down.” They looked around and noticed some chairs. Once they sat. Anne started with. You may not remember. But her mother and I were friends.” Alan stood behind his wife with a comforting hand on her shoulder, just to let her know he was there. “You and Felicia used to play together all the time and chase each other around. We used to laugh and joke about what if our children became mates and married. Well, it happened. I bet she’s smiling and laughing too. But here open this. It’s from the three of them. One from her birth father and one from her.”

He looked at her with questions but opened the box. It was a pair of diamond cuff links and a pocket watch. “Mom?”

“The cuff links can be considered from your other father-in-law. And the watch from you mate and soon to be wife. I was with her mother when she bought this. Open it. There’s an inscription in it.”

He did and read it aloud. “To my forever lover, love your wife” “But what about the cuff links they look like they’re diamonds.”

“They are sweetheart. Her dad wore them at his wedding. Funny fact the necklace and earrings she’s wearing were her mother’s wedding jewelry. It’s only fitting. Besides he would have wanted it.”

Joe looked up at his dad who was emotionally tearing up. So was his mom. As one lone tear escaped one of her eyes. He realized what a solemn and emotional moment this was. “I’d be honored to wear this.” Please tell Felicia thank you and that I love her so very much.”

“I will. Now go with your father.” Anne said. She took a moment to collect herself.

Just then Luna came back. With a complaining Ben. “Ben where’s your suit for the ceremony?

“In my office? Go be with it. I’ll see you later. Love you. She said kissing him. Then quietly shooing him off. That was when she noticed Anne.

“Anne? Are you ok?”

“Yes. Just collecting myself. Ni brought the rest of Felicia’s parents’ jewelry, and it was all laid out. They decided to use her mom’s wedding jewelry. But they didn’t know that till I got there. She’s using my bracelet for her borrowed blue. But I took her over to her dad’s box and got the pocket watch and diamond cuff links. The cuff links that he used to marry her mother. To match the wedding jewelry her mother wore to marry her father. Yes they’re both being used again in our children. Something we used to laugh and dream about when they were little. Felicia also gave him the pocket watch that her mother gave to her father that says to my forever lover, love, your wife.” It made me feel a little emotional. So, I’m just taking a minute to collect myself before going back in. The girls are all dressed. We’re going to play with hair and makeup.”

“Well, that sounds fun. I’ll grab my dress and join you all. The more the merrier, right?”

“Yes it does. We’ll see you in there.” Anne smiled and got up and rejoined the rest of the women. Lissa sighed and smiled. Thinking about the interaction with Ni’s parents. Her mom laughed and said that she was just waiting. But did not expect Ni to instigate it. George just smiled and said that’s my take-charge kind of girl.”

She got up and went to her office where she always kept her ceremony dress and accessories. Then went to the room and walked in. Saying, “It’s just me.” The boxes had been cleared and put away so that there were chairs. Some more mirrors were brought in along with more chairs. Joy had already gotten dressed. Anne was currently getting dressed.

“Aunt Lissa!”

“Oh, my darling! You are beautiful!” Lissa looked around and noticed that there were various stages of being ready. There was one spot for makeup, one for hair by an outlet of course with two different curling irons, and a check to finish where they got their jewelry on. Once Anne came out of the bathroom everyone made ooo and ahh sounds. So, Lissa went and put hers on. Including her luna pack pin and shoes. In her hidden pocket was the ribbon.

Marley was overseeing last-minute things then getting herself ready to be on time. Her staff were helping where needed.

Lissa said, “Where can I help?”

The person doing hair said over here we need second opinions we’re too indecisive. Lissa came over it was Ni’s hair being done. “What’s the problem?”

“My mark?”

“Oh, darling. I spoke to your parents myself. They’re fine. Your mother laughed and said she knew it was going to happen but didn’t expect you to start it. Don’t worry no details. Your father said that’s my take charge kind of girl. So, show it off with pride. I think we need to curl and pin up.”

“That’s what I thought.” So that’s what they did. While Ni was getting her hair curled. She linked Danny. “Danny, Luna talked to my parents they are happy. Mom laughed. Dad seemed proud.” She could hear Danny’s laughter. His response see you later beautiful.

The person whose hair needed to be done was Goldie and she was the one doing the hair. Lissa said sit. So, your wedding is next are you excited?”

“Yes, Chris says he has a surprise for me. He’s taking me there tonight.”

“After the wedding?”

“Yeah. I hope I’m not too tired to enjoy it.”

Lissa knowing what was going on said, “I’m sure you will. Now how should we do your hair. Where’s Felicia?”

“She’s…. I don’t know…”

“Joy! Where’s Felicia?”

Joy looked around. She didn’t see her either. “Felicia where are you?”

Felicia, however, had gone into the closet and laid on the lounge there to meditate and see her parents. She had been successful. Ni who had a wolf spiritual connection spoke up, “Guys don’t worry she’s ok. She’ll be out in a bit. Just leave her alone. Ella says she’s ok. Zella told me they’re in the Garden.” Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Then continued.

Meanwhile, in the Garden. The Selene was there again with her parents. This time Selene spoke first, “My dear daughter you are a beautiful bride. You and your mate have always been destined. Even from children. I am proud of your choices. And then she stepped back. Her parents came forward. “My child, you don’t realize what it means to me that you are wearing the jewelry I married your father in.”

“Thanks mom. I’m going to be a doctor too. Dad I gave Joe your cuff links and the watch mom gave you. I hope you are ok with that.”

“Felicia, if you hadn’t I would have if I was there. He’s a good man. Nice mark. Is his mark white?”

“Daad” Felicia blushed something she didn’t know she could do in the Garden.

Just then her dad stepped to the side and someone she didn't know came forward. Her mom said, “This is your grandmother, my mother.”

“Grandma?”

“Yes Felicia, It’s me.” Since her mom had a hold of her one hand her grandmother took the other. They formed a triangle, and a bright light shot out from each and became one.

Selene came over and said, “It was time the three of you came together to truly do what needed to be done. This is our wedding gift to you Felicia.” As she moved behind Felicia she said. Semi loudly your grandmother Eisha’s gifts pass to you Felicia as you are named after her. Your mother’s gifts are passed to you. Do you accept these gifts and the responsibility that comes with them?”

“I do. I plan to help people in Mind body and soul. Healing the whole person/wolf, not just a part of them.”

“Their gifts will help in this. I too have a gift for you. I give you the gift of instinctively knowing what a person needs. Down there you will need pieces of paper. But that’s all they are, just pieces of paper. You already have all you need. You’ve already done so with your Luna you and your friend Niomi are bonded wolves. They are sisters. That’s why their names are so close. Hug your family it is time for you to go back.”

First she hugged her dad. “I love you daddy.”

“Love you too sweet pea.”

Then her mom. Who ran a finger through one side of her hair leaving a silver streak. “I love you Felicia. I know you will do well. Good job with Lissa. That proved you were worthy and ready for your gifts.” Then she stepped back too.

Eisha hugged her granddaughter also running a finger through the other side of her hair leaving a white streak. “My dear I am proud of you. My books are yours. Use them as I did. There’s a lot of notes. Add what you learn to them. There’s space at the back. Pass them to future generations. If you need to transfer because the pages are old. That’s fine paper fades and dies away with age like we all do. I love you Felicia, and it was nice to finally meet you. Tell my son Mick to not be such a hot-headed brute to Ben.” Eisha said laughing and kissed her cheek. She also backed away and then the three of them left together.

Selene stepped in front of her, “Happy wedding mating day.” Then kissed her forehead. Also leaving a mark unseeable to the eye but was a symbol of her gift to Felicia.” When Selene pulled away she woke up in the closet. Took a minute to gather herself. Drying her eyes and face. She walked out of the closet and closed the doors. Lissa could instantly sense something different. The room had gone quiet when Felicia had turned around and besides her luxurious brown hair she had a silver and a white streak on each side of her head at temple level.

Lissa had just finished with Anne and everything had stopped. Lissa went over to her. There was a glow in her eye. Something inside Felicia had changed and she needed to talk to her at once. Thinking of where they could go. Lissa turned around “Goldie you were doing great with hair. Seeing you are already please continue. I need to speak with Felicia. Everything’s ok and the wedding is still on. Don’t worry about silver and white lines. Please continue. By the time we come out. It’ll be Felicia’s turn.”

They then went back into the closet and sat down. “Dear I can sense a change in you. There’s a glow. And you have a sliver streak and a white streak in your hair right at your temples. I know you were in the Garden. What happened.”
