CHAPTER 12

CATHERINE :
It's been a week since we confessed our love for each other. It's been a week and Jasmine is still here. She didn't leave like we thought after the work was completed. Edward made sure that the work was done by the end of the week. He wanted her gone more than anyone. But she joined in some college here and her father thought that it's not safe for her to stay somewhere else and requested Henry, I mean the king and he accepted. And now she is staying here and is constantly annoying the crap out of Edward. Can you believe it, he is actually trying to run away from her. I'm in our room getting ready for my classes when we Edward walked in and banged the door shut.
"I swear I'm gonna get her thrown into the dungeons or kill her. Why can't she leave me alone? Can't she understand the simple word no?"
I laughed at his comment. He glared at me and I shut up instantly. He stalked towards me. I tried to run away but I am too late in my reflexes. He is on top of me in a matter of seconds. Wow, how can he move so fast? My thoughts were cut short when he started tickling me.
"Please stop. I'm sorry. Stop. I will not laugh at you again."
I managed to say in between laughing. He continued tickling me mercilessly. I tried kicking him off of me but he held me down. I did the only thing I knew that would stop him. I kissed him. That did it. He stopped tickling me and kissed me back. Just when we were getting into it there was a knock at the door. He groaned and got up.
"Why is it that every time we start something someone disturbs us?""
"Maybe it's Jasmine."
I joked and laughed at the face he made hearing her name.
"If it's Jasmine, I'm going to kill her."
He muttered under his breath and opened the door.
"The king would like to talk to you. The meeting with the governors is about to start, Prince Edward."
"I will be there."
He closed the door and looked at me.
"It's ok. Go."
He changed his clothes considering the one he is wearing now are looking like a mess. He kissed me and left hurriedly. I'm getting bored. So, I decided to go out for a while. I dressed in some jeans and t-shirt and stepped out only to be greeted by Zach.
"Zach, it's been forever since I saw you. How are you?"
"I'm fine. I'm kind of busy. You know with Jasmine here and I have to take care of her security. To top it all that girl can't stay put for five minutes."
I laughed.
"Going somewhere?"
"No, just thought of roaming around. It's getting boring to stay in that room alone and I don't have classes today and I completed all my work."
"Did you see the media room in here?"
"No."
"I will show you. I thought of meeting Ed, considering he is busy I will keep you company till he is back."
"Sounds good."
I followed him and after walking down some corridors we reached a room. He opened the door and let me in.
"Wow."
That is all I can say. It's a big media room. He motioned for me to sit on a couch and went to pick a movie.
"What do you want to watch?"
He shouted from some other room.
"Anything. You can pick. I don't care."
"Ok."
I heard some shuffling and then he is back. He sat on the other couch beside me. He handed me some popcorn and turned towards the screen.
"What did you pick?"
"Watch. Boy, it's been long since I got this much free time."
Soon the movie started. It's a romantic movie.
"Seriously, you watch romantic movies?"
"Hey, I thought that you would like to watch it."
"No, I normally watch action movies."
"Oh, then I will get another one."
"No need. We can watch this."
The movie started and we turned towards the screen and after a while I dozed off.
EDWARD :
I'm in the middle of this important meeting when a guard came to me and said that Jasmine wants to talk to me. I ignored it and went back to listening to what ever father is saying. The guard came back and I warned him not to disturb me in the middle of this meeting. After it is over and everyone left I walked out only to see Jasmine standing there glaring at the guard and shouting something. She thought I didn't hear her but I did hear her.
"When I become the queen you are so going to pay for your behavior."
The guard shrunk back and left when he saw me.
"Edward. How nice of you to meet me?"
She purred. It sounded like a dying dog to me.
"Aren't you supposed to be in college?"
"Oh, so you are thinking about me?"
God, I ask her why she is here and she thinks that I'm thinking about her. Someone please kill me right now.
"No."
I replied bluntly and tried to walk past her. But she has other ideas and blocked my path.
"Where are you going?"
"None of your business, Jasmine."
"Well, if your are going to your wife she is not in your room."
"What?"
"Well, when I saw her she is with your best friend Zach and they went somewhere else."
"So, she is spending time with Zach. What is so special about it?"
Without saying anything she grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the media room. I tried to get my hand out of hers but she grabbed onto me like a octopus and didn't leave my hand. She pointed at the room and pushed me in.
"They are in there. I guess you can hear what is happening in there."
Yeah, I can hear what is happening. But I trust my kitten. She will never do such things. I ordered Jasmine to stay outside and entered the room. She listened to me thinking that I will probably get angry on Cat and leave her. Zach is sitting on a couch eating popcorn and Cat is sleeping on another one. They are watching a romantic movie and Zach is . . . . . yes, you guessed it right, Mr.I'm so tough head of security is crying.
"Zach?"
"Dude, what the hell? You scared the s**t out of me."
He shouted. I laughed even more.
"Are you crying?"
"What? No."
He got up and wiped his eyes and left muttering something. I went and sat beside Cat. She is sleeping peacefully. I carried her back to our room and laid her on the bed. I have a surprise for her tomorrow. I'm taking her to my favorite place and I hope she likes it.
