CATHERINE :
I knocked on Ari's door and waited. It's been a week since that incident with the car chase and Edward is not allowing me to go anywhere outside the palace gates. I'm getting sick of staying in. I even tried to sneak out a few days back but the guards found me and said that I am not supposed to go out and it was Edward's order. Damn him. I'm going crazy staying in. Right now I'm planning to sneak out along with Ari to the amusement park. She opened her door and pulled me in. I sat on her bed and looked her over.
"Wow, Ari. You look beautiful. I guess you are a master of disguises. Ever did this before? I mean sneaking out?"
"No. I tried to once but got caught. Never tried again."
"Well we will not get caught now. I can't recognize you. And you are looking hot."
She laughed and playfully hit my shoulder.
"You look good too. I'm not able to recognize you too."
"Well, lets go. Don't want to be late."
"You know if my brother finds out about this we are so dead."
"Don't worry. I will take care of him."
"Right, you will have methods to take care of my brother. Naughty methods."
I blushed and hit her. We silently sneaked out and started crossing the garden to the back gate of the palace. Zach appeared out of now where and stood in front of us. We both screamed and I fell down tripping and bringing along Ari as she lost her footing because of my weight.
"I'm so sorry, Cathy."
He helped us up and we dusted ourselves.
"I thought that it's someone else and thought of seeing who it is."
"Why did you two dress like this?"
Ari looked at me and I nodded my head.
"Well, Zach. We need your help."
"Ok. What kind of help?"
"Actually we are going out and we need a car."
"Wait, what? No. Edward said that you are not supposed to go out."
"Come on, Zach. Please. Please."
Ari gave him the puppy dog eyes and I knew that he is a goner. I smiled and looked at him with huge eyes.
"Please, Zach."
"Fine. But I'm coming with you."
"Are you sure you will not get bored out of your mind watching over two girls?"
"No. I'm coming."
"Fine. Then I'm driving."
He stopped walking and turned around.
"What?"
"I said I'm driving."
"No. No. No. You are not. Last time during that chase I nearly got a heart attack. You are not driving."
I sighed and started walking. We reached the garage and he grabbed some keys and opened the door for us to get in. He got in and started the car. We got past the palace gates and I smiled in relief. Ari was beaming. Finally freedom. It's been too long since she stepped out of the palace along with me because of the death threat.
"So, where exactly are we going?"
"To the amusement park."
"The one near that french restaurant?"
"Yes."
We reached the amusement park in no time and we got out. No one recognized us. We are three friends who came to enjoy ourselves. Ari is squealing in delight. I smiled at her enthusiasm. She never went to one it seems. Zach bought the tickets and we went in. She looked around her and gasped.
"This is so nice."
We went on some rides together. All the while Zach stayed close to us and kept an eye on us and the surroundings. I bought her cotton candy and she loved it. We went to different stalls and she played some games. Zach helped us win so many things. It helps to have someone who is in the military with you so that they can win your games for you. We are walking slowly enjoying everything around us and suddenly Ari shouted and dragged us to some stall. I paid the money and the guy handed over a bow to her. She had to hit the bulls eye to win the biggest teddy bear in there. Zach stood beside me and looked around us.
"Come on, Zach. Stop looking around and enjoy for a while."
He ignored me.
"Cathy, I'm not able to hit properly. "
I turned towards Ari and she was struggling to shoot.
"Zach, help her."
"I'm supposed to guard you both not play games and win you prizes."
He sighed and turned around towards Ari and helped her aim perfectly and she shot it. She jumped up and down and took the teddy from the guy.
"I won it. I'm going to learn how to use a bow. It's so good."
We reached the palace and like I thought Edward is waiting for us. Ari silently got out and ran to her room holding her new teddy and struggling to carry it as it was too heavy and too big. Zach got out and left me alone with Edward. I looked everywhere but at him. He took hold of my hand and led me to the garage.
"You are not angry?"
"Zach informed me that you are going out. So, no. I'm not angry."
He closed my eyes with his hands and opened the doors. He removed his hands and there in front of me stood the car I usually race in. He got my car for me. Well not really my car, it's Danny's car but I use it for the races. I hugged him tight and kissed him. He deepened the kiss and I heard some one clear their throat. I moved away from him and turned around. Danny is standing there looking amused.
"Danny!"
I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"Well, it's good to see you too. I missed you too."
"Congratulations. You are going to race here."
"So, what brings you here? You are busy with college right?"
"Your husband and your car."
"What?"
"Well, he sent some people over and they kind of want me to come here along with the car. I came in a private jet along with your car. And I have some holidays coming up so I used them to come here."
"Really?"
"Yes. Guess it's a surprise for you."
"Totally."
I walked towards the car and ran my hand on top of her and sighed. My baby. I turned to Edward and led him to our room to continue where we stopped due to Danny hoping no one will disturb us now.
