My father was chosen to be a king before. This was because he would go into the human side world and then defeat a vampire by drinking its dry blood. He then came back in our world with the sign of a yellow Moon on his neck. Well, that happened when I was still five ears old. Now that he's growing old we must find another king. Every time father tells me to be brave than others so that I will be the next king. I always thought that is impossible because in my mind, I already asked myself why some people like me change into warewolves while others remain human. I also tried asking my father why,but he's always answering me in an opposite way. I thought he also didn't know why. One day when I was sitting in our cave, my friend Allan came to me, running breathlessly. "Ralph there's a meeting which is starting right now and everyone is needed there." I stood up looking at him curiously. "So, what is it about? "It's about choosing the next King." he answered. After hearing that, my heart started beating. I knew that now I was going to be the next King after my father and I wasn't ready for that. "Well Allan, we can go."I told him taking a deep breath inside. We ran to where the meeting was talking place and we stood behind the others. The witch then came holding a dark ball. It always gave light whenever the one choosen to go to the human side would be the right one, but it could not choose the one to be a king because it was like the King chose himself by being able to defeat a vampire. "In the human human side, vampires are causing a big problem."the witch said with her trumbling voice which always freaked me out when I heard it. "Last night, our former brave Kings who died told me that it's being too late for us to wait so that we can choose our next King. That is why you were all called here because even a young one can go. Remember that from ten years and you can be chosen to go and defeat a vampire."she said. By remembering that, I then prooved that I can be choosen because I was already twenty years old. Then she continued" The King and I worked on it and immediatly chose someone.Let the King say the name." Father stood up. I wouldn't really be surprised if he said my name because he was always telling me to behave as a king. Then he said"the one choosen is the one and only son I have, Ralph." I knew it would be me. "Ralph, are you sure you're ready for that?"asked Allan who was standing beside me. "Oh come on, Allan. Do I look like I'm ready?"I asked him. By that time I was called infront of everyone. I went there and found myself standing in front of millions and millions of warewolf people clapping and cheering hurray for me. I was really confused. The meeting then was finished and everyone went back to their caves. When my father and I reached there we found my mother preparing a big delicious meat for us. " Mother why are you cooking such a big meat? Are we celebrating something right now?"I asked her. "Oh don't be such a silly boy. You were choosen to go to the human side and I must make something good before you leave. You know I will miss you so much,baby."she said while hugging me. "But father, how are you sure I'm going to be able to defeat a vampire?"I asked my father. Then he came in front of me and touched my shoulder."You know son, it is said that one of the most brave Alpha was a lazy boy like you. He came to know that his strength was special when he defeated a vampire. Then he became a very protective king. Wait until you defeat one too, Ralph."he said. "Are you sure, father? I asked him again. "I'm always sure about you."he answered. "I think everyone is hungry here. Come on let's have a meal. We ate as a happy family normally then my father took me to the witch. Everyone who would be chosen to to go to the human side would first go to her because there were rules to be followed. "The first rule says that: you are not aloud to show your powers. If it's an accident we will understand. Second rule says that you are not aloud to hurt any human being because you are stronger than him or her. Other rules are, behaving like politely and do not tell anyone one about where you are from or about us. Except, if you tell it to the one and only you believe which will be your lover."she warned me. "Can you tell me how she will look like?"I asked. "Shut up there!"said my father. "But father, I just want to know."I said. "What's important is that you must defeat a vampire. It won't be difficult for you there because you lived with your father who tought you about that place. Especially about talking, you talk like a normal person and you act like one."said the witch. "Make sure you become a King."said my father furiously. The next day I was prepared and went leaving behind my mother crying. I said good bye but I knew I would really miss them.
