Randall and Sandy laughed at what they heard.
“Hahaha! Delusional!” Randall laughed. “You might not even gonna make it to the Groupon’s parking lot, loser. People on Groupon will just laugh at you and you’ll just embarrass The Campbells!”
Sandy shook her head, displeased. “If I were you my cousin, I would just jump to the pool right in after I embarrassed myself to dare to accept the deal to secure a big deal with the most powerful and prominent company.”
Gad didn’t speak up, but his eyes were dead serious just staring at Sandy and Randall.
Randall noticed that. “What are you looking at, beggar? Threatened, huh?” He asked with a crooked smile on his face.
“Threatened for what?” Gad asked coldly.
“You are threatened that we can make a deal with Groupon in just a blink of an eye unlike you and your wife?” He mocked, making everyone look at Gad disdainfully.
If Flora hadn’t ended up with a trashy man like him, she might have been married off to Dexter right now.
Gad gave Randall a stern look with his brows furrowed. “Shouldn’t I be the one to say that to you? Are you and your wife too threatened to what Flora’s capable of doing and that you have to belittle her just to not give her the deal?”
Flora did not know how to react to her husband’s defence for her. He has this confidence that motivates her to trust what he says that she can do a deal with Groupon.
“Of course not!” Sandy rebutted, rolling his eyes. “Even though Flora’s beauty has returned, she is still the paled person we know. She isn’t a threat to us, never!”
Everyone laughed. All of their look is at Flora and Gad, they continue to mock them in their courage to claim the deal. Really, really delusionals!
Groupon is such a huge company that they sure Groupon wouldn’t dare to give a millisecond look on The Campbells. For these people, the only hope of The Campbells now is the Evans Family and Dexter who should marry Flora to make their family even stronger.
“Quiet!” Grandma Silvia shouted, causing silence to envelop the surrounding area.
The truth is that she was impressed by Flora’s courage, but for her, Flora’s displayed behavior was worse than a roaring baby who knew nothing but playing.
What does Flora think of dealing with the Groupon Company?
Grandma Silvia’s face was flushed with anger. “How dare you fool someone like me, Flora? Isn’t it because your beauty is back that you have the right to play tricks on me?”
“She dared, Grandma,” Randall tsked, shaking his head in disdain. “Hey, Gad! We don’t need you and your wife to prove your bullshit marriage! No matter what happens, you two will still be divorced!”
“You are disgracing our family, Flora because you are listening to your mentally ret*rded husband!” Grandma Silvia shouted at Flora.
“No, Grandma...” Flora tried to answer but when she realized that it was pointless to fight for what she wanted to say, she just bowed.
She should not have listened to her husband. That just ended up with his family mocking the two of them even more.
“You, Sandy.” Grandma Silvia pointed at Sandy who stood up in excitement. “I have decided to entrust the deal to you. I want you to secure a fifty-million dollar deal with the CEO of the Groupon Company within seven days!”
Sandy nodded quickly. “I will, Grandma. I am sure not to disappoint you!”
Grandma Silvia smiled at the sincerity she saw in Sandy. “I know you won’t, because I know you know the consequences if you did.”
Grandma Silvia looked at Randall. “And Randall, have you brought the divorce papers I asked?”
“Yes, Grandma...” Randall smiled and took out a folder and handed it to the old lady.
“Thank you.” Grandma Silvia’s fake smile faced Gad. “Now, before Dexter runs out of patience, can you just listen, Mr. Poorguy, and divorce my granddaughter?”
Grandma Silvia approached Gad and handed him the folder and pen. But a second passed as Gad just stared at it.
“As I’ve said multiple times, Grandma...” Gad answered firmly. “I will not divorce Flora.”
“Oh, come on!” Dexter snorted. “We all know here that your marriage is completely indecisive. Stop being pretentious like you really care for Flora! You can’t even buy her expensive gifts, you dinky loser!”
Gad took the folder causing everyone there to breathe a sigh of relief. But they were equally surprised when Gad teared up the folder without emotion.
Everyone erupted in panic like a shockwave. How dare him to behave like that!
There, Martin approached Gad and grabbed him by his collar. “How dare you! Why don’t you understand that it would be better for Flora if she married Dexter?! You’re nothing but a beggar, what can you be proud of?!”
There, Martin punched Gad hard in the face. With the strength of that, all the people there gasped at what they witnessed.
Laughing, Dexter approached Gad. “Alright. Why not, we make a deal, huh?”
Gad stood up properly and wiped his bleeding lips. He glared seriously at Dexter.
Dexter smiled crookedly. “I will stop pursuing Flora on one condition ... kneel before me.”
Dexter was about to yell more at Gad when they all suddenly heard the door bang open. Everyone looked at the entrance of and they also saw the three men in military uniforms.
They all have a muscular figure that says they are from high-ranking military service. Their presence seemed to turn off the temperature for a moment causing everyone present to fall silent.
But who are these soldiers? And who are they looking for? Is it Dexter?
The middle soldier, Mikael, looked around and when he saw Gad Anderson they quickly walked towards him, leaving everyone in confusion.
“Commander!” Meanwhile, the three soldiers saluted in front of Gad, causing all the people present to explode in complete shock.
Gad is a Commander?!
