Chapter Thirteen
Taeyeon is standing infront of her husband waiting for his secretary to finish jotting down what her husband is saying.
The secretary bowed at her before finally making his way out and closing the office door.
"What do you want, Taeyeon?" Seojoon asked while reading some contract.
He's not even sparing his wife a glance. She didnt even get a greeting when she came here. That's what they are, cold and always distant towards each other.
"I want my son back, Seojoon." She said with finality in her voice.
Seojoon closed the folder that he's reading before looking up at his wife as he leaned against his swivel chair.
"Then, take him back." He said in a tern voice raising his brows.
Taeyeon clenched his fist licking her lower lips trying to calm herself.
No matter how composed she is as a woman, no matter how elegant and glamorous she is. She always lose her cool infront of her husband. For her, everything about Seojoon is just so irritating.
"You are the reason why he left! Have you forgotten?" She asked raising her voice.
Seojoon looks eerily calm that it made Taeyeon's heart beat faster than usual knowing that her husband is starting to get irritated too.
"What do you want me to do?" He asked through gritted teeth, "Support his f*****g hobby and watch him ruin his future!" He shouted.
Taeyeom gulps down trying to look composed lifting her chin up while looking at her husband clenching her jaw.
"What's so wrong with that?" Taeyeon screamed, her eyes tearing up.
She clutched onto her chest looking down as soon as she felt her tears slipping out of her eyes.
Her son is her only escape, the only one who reminds her that she has reasons to live. Jungkook is the sole reason why she's holding onto this marriage.
She can clearly remember how Jungkook enjoyed painting eversince he was a child. He is always so happy and excited whenever she will bring new art materials for him.
She's always been supportive in everything that her son wants to do. She never missed a special ocassion as she wants Jungkook to feel loved.
That's also the reason as to why Jungkook is so hurt when even his mother didnt stood up for him when he said that he wanted to pursue his dreams.
"Take him back, Taeyeon. I am giving you a chance to make your son go back home." Seojoon said in a threatening voice.
Taeyeon squinted her eyes, "My son? He is also your son! Your son that you barely cared about." She said raising her voice.
Her chest heaving up and down because of shouting and anger. She cant help but to defend Jungkook.
He doesnt have a right to be like this. He never made their son feel like he has a complete family. He is always away doing what the f**k was.
"Take him back or I will give this company to Taehyung, " He tilted his head to the right, "Choose." He said.
Taeyeon shut her eyes closed gripped at her handbag trying to control her breathing as she is too pissed to even do so.
She loves Taehyung too, she is also like her son- but she wont let anyone take anything that is supposed to be for Jungkook.
"No, you wont do that." Taeyeon said in disbelief while shaking her head.
Seojoon smirked mockiling scratching his temples while looking at his wife before letting out a sarcastic smile.
"Dont try me, Taeyeon. Dont." He said with an emphasis in his voice.
Taeyeon turned her back against her husband gracefully making her way out of the bastard's office not even glancing at the employees who's greeting her.
Her knees turned so weak that she almost fell if its not for her bodyguard who is also her driver, he opened the door for her before bowing and jogging towards the driver seat.
Taeyeon's hands are visibly shaking and her lips is quivering because of the tears that is continuously streaming down her face just by reliving the words of her own husband.
"No, I wont let my son lose what is for him."
She is scared- scared for what was about to come. She knows that it just a matter of time before her husband kicks her out of their house to live with his mistress.
Before that, she will make sure that her so will get what is rightfully his first. She wants nothing but the best for his son in exchange of living in hell because of the pain that his husband has brought to her.
"We are here, Madame..."
Taeyeon looked up at the small building that doesnt even look secured because of the empty reception desk.
She went out of the car and walked inside the apartment scrunching up her nose as she went inside the lift pressing the floor that Taehyung told him.
The lift opened gripping her handbag tighter as she walked towards the unit where his son is staying.
She took in a deep breathe staring at the door. She lifted her hands up ready to knock only to clenched her hands tighter bringing it down.
What would Jungkook feel if she showed up randomly? She doesnt even want to think about it. She doesnt want to hear her son wanting her to just go away. That would be so heartbreaking for a mother like Taeyeon. Then again, she deserves that.
"I love you so much, son." She said her voice cracking.
She sniffed with her head down secretly wiping her tears away. She bit her lower lips turning her back against the apartment ready to leave when she stopped as she saw Seokjin walking towards her direction.
"Mrs. Jeon..." Seokjin called, surprised.
Taeyeon warmly smiled at the man infront of her. It is not a secret to her, she knows what Seokjin is doing for her son and she secretly admires Seokjin for that.
Though, she badly needs her son back and even if it means treating Seokjin bad, she would do it.
Seokjin is surprised to say the least, to see the beautiful smile of Jungkook's mother. A different aura that he saw earlier while they are talking inside the bookstore.
"Please," She sighed, "Dont tell Jungkook that you saw me here." She said in a calm voice.
Seokjin was about to say something but he stopped when the lady already walked away from him with her head down.
He cant help but to think that there is a problem going on beside from the fact that she needs Jungkook back.
He never saw her like that, heads down that seems like she's carrying a lot of baggage on her shoulder.
