"Derek.. I.. I love you. I'm in l-love with y-you." I stutter and glance up at my best friend who was frozen up. Little eternity later, he glares at me and said. "What the f**k Steven, are you a fag? I will never love you like that. Did you really think that I'd feel the same way. Come on, Steven I'm not a fag!" I take a step back and tears now in my eyes, I look at him last time and run. Never in my life had I run that fast or that far. 'Fag, did he just really call me a fag? f**k that hurt, that hurt so f*****g much. What's wrong with him, who even uses that word ? It's just so disrespectful.' 'Oh my god, what have I done.. He probably hates me now. Good job Steven.' I thought. I run straight to the home and to my room. I collapse on my bed, face first and let the tears fall. "I hate my life" I groan. I felt so devastated, so heartbroken. That night I cried myself to sleep. Two months later.. I haven't spoken with Derek in two months now and I'm devastated, I miss him, I miss my best friend. I have been avoiding him, because I just can't face him. And truth be told he never called or texted me, so I guess he is avoiding me too. Now I'm dressing up for the dinner with my family and some of my parents' friends. Yes I still live with my parents, even I'm 22 yo. My mom has been so excited all day, because Mrs. and Mr. Stone and their son will be attending dinner with us tonight. She told me their son is two years older than me, so he is 24. He is living alone and doesn't have a life partner. Okay, what a hell I need that information for? My mom is so strange sometimes. "STEVEN! Are you deaf or what, get down here. NOW!" my dad screamed at me pulling me out of my thoughts. "Yeah, yeah I'm coming! " I yell and rush downstairs. I stumble over the last steps and almost fell face first on the floor, but somebody catches me before that. Strong arms circled around my waist and I was pulled to someone's hard chest. 'Hmn he feels so good. Oh lord! What's wrong with me?'. I try to catch my breath and stutter "T-thank you". Then it hit me, he is still holding me against his chest, and I pull away. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to just stand there like an i***t. " I glance up at him and was mesmerized, that man was tall, well built and has a most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. He is smoking hot. He holds his hand out for me to shake, but I was just staring at him like some perv. He clears his throat "Hi! I'm Marcus Stone, you must be Steven right?" he says and finally I came back from never-never-land and shake his hand. "Yeah, sorry. Yes I'm Steven, nice to meet you Marcus. And thank you, for saving me, without you I would probably broke my nose for falling face down on the floor." "No problem, happy to help. We can't have that pretty face of yours broken, now can we?" he said with a wink. Is he flirting with me? "Oh honey there you are, good it seems you have already met Marcus. Isn't he handsome? Now come, everybody is already waiting in the dining room" mom said and usheres us towards the dining room. Dinner was awkward for my part, I was constantly blushing, cause my mom have to tell the most embarrassing stories about my childhood. Like when I once forgot to wear my pants before leaving from the house, to school. And the worst part was that I kept glancing over Marcus and got caught a few times. He is so handsome and cocky yet so polite and sweet. Currently l was pouring some drinks to us, since our elders have some business to discuss, and I'm left alone with Marcus. "Tell me something about you." he said all of sudden. "What, why?" I ask and try not to choke on my drink. Marcus walked over me and put his fingers under my chin and lifted my face so I was looking at him. "I have ever seen someone so petite, so beautiful and interesting person as you are, in my life. So tell me something about you, that your Mother hadn't already told." I was gaping at him, what did he just said, did he said I'm beautiful? I was a blushing mess and couldn't talk for a moment. "Y-y-you t-think that I'm b-beautiful?“ was all that left out of my mouth. Great now I'm stuttering and blushing dork, oh god please help me. Marcus took my hand and pulled me in his arms. "Yes, I do think that you are beautiful. Please I know this is so sudden but let me take you on a date, please say that you will go out with me?" Marcus asked, hope clear In his eyes. "O-okay" I nod. He flashed me a most killer smile that made my knees go weak, but his strong arms on my waist kept me from falling. ”Hey guys.. Oh, sorry did I interrupt something?” Mr. Stone asked when he came back to living room. ”Oh no, no you didn't Mr. Stone.” He looked me pointedly and I realized what kind of position we were in that current moment. I quickly pulled away from Marcus and blushed so hard that I was as red as tomato. ”Hgrmmh, so did you need something, Mr. Stone?” I asked and tried to get myself together. ”Please call me Calvin, Mr. Stone is too formal.” ”Okay sure, Mr... Calvin, what did you need?” ”Oh, I almost forgot will you please refill my drink for me, Steven?” ”Of course. Scotch neat, right?” Calvin nod, and gave his glass to me. ”Marcus a word?” Calvin said and pulled Marcus aside. Marcus' P. O.V: "Marcus a word?” My dad said and pulled me aside, when Steven went to pour my father a drink. ”Yeah, What is it?” I asked, and kept glancing over Steven. ”He is a pretty boy, yeah?” dad asked, ”He is.” ”Soooo?” ”sooo, what?” I asked and looked back to my dad. ”You like him? Gonna ask him out?” ”Already did.” ”And?” ”Yes he'll go out with me. So what did you have in mind?” I asked, quickly peeking over Steven again. That boy is so attractive I can't help it, if I could, I would kept staring at him the rest of my life.. My god when have I became so sappy?' ”Oh I was just curious, what's going on between you two. I just came to refill my drink, but since I saw you two so close to each other , you got me thinking.” ”Oh lord, dad! you are just as bad as mom ” I said chuckling. Just then Steven came back and asked” What's so funny? Care to share?” ”Old man was just checking, if I had put my moves on you already.” ” Oh my god, you are just worst” Steven said blushing and gave that drink to my dad. ”Thank you Steven, you guys have fun and Marcus Don't f**k this up, okay?” my dad said sternly. Like I was going to, what a hell? I watched my dad wandering out of the room. I walked towards Steven and pulled him back into my arms and asked ”So that date, when will you be free to go?” ”mmnnnn, Maybe next.....” *Dinngdonnng* Doorbell cut him of. ” Oh sorry wait a second, I will be right back.” he said and went to the door. I was following him, I heard his voice going tense, when he gritted his teeth ”What are you doing here Derek?” I heard his voice cracking in the end, he sounded like, it was hurting him seeing that man. Who is this guy and why is he here? Am I jealous right now ? Wow that has never happened before. Okay that guy is hot, but he's nothing to my Steven.. My Steven?? oh lord I'm swimming in the deep end..
