Crazy Night

Hol*y Shi*t! Ira looked at Bella’s alarmed eyes as Bella took a stock of their situation. She was the Delta. She was meant to protect the weaker in her pack!

It was her sworn in duty and right now as a human Ira was the weakest in this area.

She had always trained well. If she wouldn’t have been the Delta she would surely have joined their army of werewolves as a Gamma!

She scrutinized their situation after mindlinking with her brother and Liam.

They would be on their way at top speed in their wolf form. She had to keep the hybrids engaged and avoid them from attacking Ira for only a few minutes.

“What the fuc*k are you doing?” Bella barked. “Are you fuc*king out of your mind? The Alpha will tear you apart!”

The hybrids sniggered. The guy with the gun in his hand spoke, “till then you gals would be dead and we would be safely away in Queensland to our pack. The witch has promised.”

“She would be tricking you for all you know!”

“Hah! We will see.”

He told his men to take care of Bella. While two hybrids caught hold of Bella, one injected something into her carotid.

“What the hell is that?” Ira struggled to get herself free.

The hybrid holding her snorted. “That’s to block her mind link! Now we have all the time in the world.” He turned around to Ira and stared at her lecherously. “Get ready to meet your God”

She felt his finger set on the trigger...

Ira looked at him in disgust. She wasn’t scared. Such pathetic beings did not scare her.

A series of things happened in quick succession.

Ira hit the man holding her with her elbow. The move was unexpected and the guy staggered back, losing his hold on Ira.

She leapt forwards to save her best friend, knocking one of the hybrids off.

Her daring attempt caught them off guard.

Ira stood in front of Bella who was looking around with glazed eyes that did not record or understand the surroundings.

“You can’t harm her! She is my best friend!” Ira shrieked.

“Suit yourself,” their leader lifted the hand with the gun and pointed it at Ira.

He pulled the trigger unceremoniously and a big white wolf landed on his head exactly at that time.

Ira did not know if Bella or she was hit. She quickly started scanning for wounds while the Alpha and the Beta fought with the attack.

Ira shook Bella out of her glazed state. “Bels! Are you alright? Bel’s, can you hear me?”

She wanted Bella to get back to normal again!

Bella kind of snapped out of the catatonic stage. She looked around and quickly realised that her brother and Liam were fighting with the wolves.

She pulled Ira’s hand. “This attack is all the more reason to quickly leave. You are unsafe here Ira!”

“The king hates me so much that he is ready to get me killed?

“No! There must be someone else. Liam saves people. Only when he gets angry, he is unstoppable.

Now let’s go. We have already wasted a lot of time. The witch shouldn’t know about you.

They started moving away from the battle at a quick pace. Ira was still worried about the two wolves.

The two creatures were beautiful. One was a grey wolf with white ears and white paws and the other was pure white with purple eyes.

She felt goosebumps all over her body as she remembered a certain pair of purple eyes. Was this really Liam? Just like his human form, the wolf too was so beautiful! She signed even as she and Bella raced towards the border of the No Man’s land.

“Bella, who were those two wolves?” She couldn’t curtail the curiosity anymore. She had to know who the white huge wolf was.

“The grey was Ben and the white was Liam. I had mind linked them the moment I saw that gloating bastard's filthy hands on you."

They continued to sprint and broke out into a run multiple times. Finally, they walked into a clearing only to be stunned! It was a crazy battle out there. Wolves were tearing each other apart.

A stench of blood mixed with mud engulfed the entire area. Surely there was some magic at play as the area looked dull and enclosed in a blanket of dust.

They stared in stunned silence seeing Noah fighting with a sword.

A wolf attacked Ira. Without thinking of the consequences, Bella pushed her wolf out instantly. Her wolf too was grey with beautiful white paws and ears. She punched Ira's attacker tearing his neck by her jaw.

He managed to free himself with a bleeding wound on his neck.

In a single swipe of her front paw, the rogue wolf was dead.

A strong voice boomed through the battlefield clearly commanding everyone around him. “STOP!”

Everyone stopped in their tracks. The Alpha King's command extended to both his own rogues and the other wolves around.

But it did not work on humans and vampires. Ira saw in horror as Scarlet shove her sword into Jade's body.

Jade spasmed and fell down.

Ira looked around exasperated. James and Kirra couldn't be seen.

Where were the two? She had to find them.

She closed her eyes and sought James presence. A long time ago Sarena had taught her this bit of expanding her senses and tuning into her family members.

She could feel him. He was close by.

She turned around swiftly and ran towards the direction where she would find James.

Through the corner of her eyes, she spotted naked Liam staring at her. warmth crept up her cheeks looking at the Greek God body of Liam. But she had no time to reflect on the crazy beats of her heart and the senseless longing for a taken man.

She had to be with her brother.

A little away from where the battle was, Ira could see James and a witch using their magic to fight. This must be Miriam.

Miriam had created 4 more illusions of herself and James was fighting with all five of them. The area around them was slowly getting engulfed in a storm as the two used their power.

James had created a tube of concentric blue rings of protection around him.

Even as James' rings went on to Kirra, Ira continued to trot towards them.

Liam caught hold of Ira and pulled her against his body. Her back was in line with his hard muscular torso!

At other times she would have appreciated the hard contours of Liam's sexy physique but right now she could see that James was vulnerable.

She tried to wriggle free as she saw one of Miriam’s spells hit James. He fell down with strings of ropes around him. His hands by the side of his body and legs together were bound tightly by the ropes making him lose his balance.

At least he wasn't hurt. But would he be able to free himself?

"Let me go! I need to save him!" Ira struggled. A hard rod poked her bum and she went still. Her body tensed up and she lashed out "For f**k*s sake! This is what you are thinking? In the middle of a f**k*ing battle?"

"I am not thinking of s*x!" Liam retorted. "This is what your scent does to me. Now stay still. You can't save him. The witch is too powerful!"

She gritted her teeth in irritation as she felt tingling in the parts where Liam's naked skin brushed against her own. Bloody mate bond! She thought angrily and snorted, "and you want me to stand here on the sidelines while my brother gets killed?"

Miriam's crazy laughter reached their ears.

Ira could see that Miriam was talking but damn her human hearing! She couldn't hear a single word.

Then she saw something that froze her.

This couldn't be happening! Where was Sarena when you needed her the most?
