Liam
Liam asked Ben to organise a romantic dinner for him and Monike in one of the private rooms in their dining hall. Although he had agreed to the plan, he did not want to be away from his chambers for long. He was only interested in getting back to the book lying on his bedside table.
The sooner this evening ended, the better he would feel.
‘Not good thoughts to begin a date with!’ Sarena’s voice reached him as if she was sitting right next to him in the room.
Startled, he glanced around, but thankfully he was alone. Two gammas guarded the entrance to the private room.
‘I am in your head! Seriously! You wolves can be such morons!’ Sarena chuckled.
‘Oh! This did not feel like a mind link!’ He frowned and looked towards the door. He could see some movement outside. The haughty princess had arrived.
‘Yes, coz I am a witch! You can not block me with your mind ink barriers. I will be with you for as long as possible. Remember! Keep it real,’ and she was gone.
Monike entered the room looking like the diva that she was. Her long red gown enhanced her curves and the tiny straps on her shoulders held the gown in its place.
He gulped as his Lycan howled in protest. If it was before, he would have looked forward to a night of crazy uninhibited s*x. He knew what Monike liked. Their tastes were so similar!
That's why he had agreed to get married to her. He did not love her, but the s*x between them was always so explosive.
But since knowing Ira, all his priorities had changed. His world revolved around Ira.
He was in love with his little witch.
As she came over to the table, an omega boy entered the room and held the chair for her. She did not even give a second glance at the omega. No thank you or other pleasantries, either. She just flicked her head and dismissed the boy, and Liam wondered how he had allowed her to be so rude to his people.
Ben had managed the decoration of the room well. The lighting was dim, slightly bluish to give an effect of moonlight. The fragrance of roses wafted from the candle that was lit on their table.
Monike looked beautiful, but it stirred nothing in him. Her hazel eyes that complimented her brown hair stood out on her pale skin. She had sprayed herself liberally with some expensive perfume.
Liam never liked her obsession with perfumes. It was too irritating for wolves, but it was her life.
He smiled at her as she pouted and said. “The great king Liam is suddenly in a mood for a date?” She raised one impeccably plucked and designed eyebrow.
“I am sorry. I have been very busy lately.” Liam said and Sarena’s voice in his head chuckled. ‘This isn’t a business meeting. It’s a f*cking date with her, at the end of which you might have to root!’
He winced at Sarena’s language, but added to his sentence and gazed into Monike’s eyes. “You look beautiful tonight!”
His Lycan made a gagging sound in his head, and he pushed the Lycan aside. His head felt too crowded right now with the Lycan bashing him up for agreeing to this plan, and Sarena torturing him over his dating skills.
His compliment worked, and Monike’s face lit into a bright smile. “Thank you. It feels like an eternity since we last spent some time together.”
"You don't look too terrible either," Monike gave him a 'f*ck me now' look as she ran her gaze up and down his body.
The omega boy, Park, arrived with their drinks and the first course. Monike and Liam fell into talking. Monike was smart and a talented conversationalist. That was another reason for Liam to agree to a marriage with her. But that time he knew that he wouldn’t ever be with his mate ever.
They were able to chat and Liam managed it without getting bored. He even felt comfortable with Monike and felt a little relieved to have an evening spent differently.
He had been too stressed out lately.
The Yellow Tail Shiraz gave a pleasant buzz, and he burst out laughing in response to Monike’s joke.
‘I think it’s time. You should take this to the next level.’ Sarena interrupted, as he felt Monike rub her toes on his leg. His formal pants allowed the intrusion easily, and he cringed with the touch of another woman on his body. He wanted to snap at Monike. Instead, he held the wine glass in his hand tightly and smiled at Monike, hoping that she did not see the reluctance and repulsion on his face.
He was having second thoughts about his decision. Monike was beautiful and sexy, but he did not want to have s*x with her. He wanted only Ira, and his Lycan agreed with him.
‘Have the pill that I gave you yesterday. It will help.’ Sarena’s voice spoke again. ‘It will sedate your Lycan and make you respond to Monike. You are too connected with Ira. I knew you wouldn't do this without help.’ She chuckled,’ oh yes! Remember to finish everything within a few hours. The potion will wane off as our system metabolites it especially because your Lycan would be fighting against it.’
She went silent.
Monike excused herself to freshen up.
Liam used the opportunity and before his rational mind would protest or his Lycan would revolt, he ripped off the blister pack, took the shiny blue capsule and drained it down his throat with a few gulps of Shiraz.

The effect was instant. Even before Monike was back, his Lycan had gone mute. He could feel the presence of his Lycan but couldn't talk to him anymore. Sarena's voice boomed one last time in his head, 'well done mate! I am now going into a ritual to try to help Ira. She is going to be in misery with what you are going to do next. I hope all this hurt and pain is for a good cause.'
Sadness dampened his mood. He was going to hurt Ira, but as the effect of the pill advanced, his concerns about Ira reduced. As if that part of the brain also fell asleep with his Lycan.
He stood up as Monike arrived. She had touched up her makeup. The pout of her lips looked sexier, and he thought what they would look like around his hard d**k.
Yes, the pill was working...
