Hiding From The Tornado

1572 Words
Ira A cloud of dust swirled in the area where the three stood. Is it a storm building up? Miriam’s magical ropes snaked around James as he fell down and lay tied up, on the forest floor. Ira darted towards him. She had to stop the witch! But Liam was quick as a cat. He caught hold of her waist and pulled it against his hard chest. Bloody werewolf strength! She looked in horror as the storm started brewing in the area where Miriam, James and Kirra were engaged in a fight. From her spot, she could see that they were constantly talking. How was Kirra stalling? What was she asking? Ira wondered. But there was no way of knowing. Liam’s grip on her waist was strong and from this distance, she just could not hear what was going on. Slowly a dull layer of dust started rising around the trio. Soon a funnel-shaped cloud floated over the three and a crazy tornado developed around them, enveloping them. All this while Liam stood as stiff as a post holding Ira against his body with inhuman strength. Waves of anxiety bounced off his body making Ira jumpy. To top that the storm in front of her kept her on her toes. She was s**t scared for James and his mate. Liam's hands were going to make bruises on her waist. But she did not protest. This was the only time she was going to get with her soulmate. Miriam appeared to be busy in a monologue. Damn! Isn’t Kirra smart? James has done well for himself! Ira's thoughts and the scene in front of her captivated her. Even Liam's presence couldn't cloud her mind as she came up with ideas to save James and Kirra. Each idea was more improbable than the first. She couldn't have dashed into the fight and won over the witch. She severely lacked witch skills. She couldn't use a weapon, she didn't have any. How on Earth was she going to save her people? She looked at Liam but his face looked grim. As if he was busy thinking about something unpleasant. His mesmerising brown irises were speckled with sparkling purple stars making them mysterious and enticing. Clearly, his wolf was on the edge. Was Miriam's rambling connected to Liam too? When the full-blown tornado hit and turned into a swirling tube of fire, Liam pulled her towards the forest. She looked in awe at the magnanimous fire tornado. This had to be James! She had seen him controlling elements. He was the one who had used the creepers on Jack and Alex? She tried to run with Liam but he was too fast and she too slow. He unceremoniously lifted her and put her on his shoulder, just like a bag of potatoes, a very light bag of potatoes! She was mortified. “Put me down! I can walk.” She cursed and waggled her legs trying to break free. But it made very little difference to the hulk. How f**k*ing humiliating! Liam grunted and continued to sprint towards the forest with Ira on his shoulder. She rested an elbow on his shoulder and propped up her face. Although she was angry, she couldn’t help but notice Liam’s well defined muscular butt. The guy was buck naked and had nonchalantly carried her on his shoulder. What a rude pric*k! She ogled at his moving bum. The muscles flexed and extended as he jogged and ran towards a place inside the forest. As they entered the forest they came across a clearing. It had a ground post with sacs of mud piled up. Liam took her behind the wall of mud sacks and jumped with her into a trench. “If the storm were to move, you and I would be safe here.” Liam groaned as they crammed themselves into that tiny ditch. She was hyper-aware of Liam’s naked body on top of her. She looked at his face. It was expressionless, but she could feel his arousal nudging against her shorts clad groin. She took in a deep breath, inhaling his unique musculin scent of sage. Her thoughts went crazy, her body responded to the proximity although she knew she had to be somewhere else, saving people. What was happening? Her body and mind defied any logic. How could she even think of se*x in the midst of a battle? Breathing in his alluring aroma was a bad idea. Her body desperately wanted him. She had to get rid of her shorts and have that heavenly hard phallus inside her! Would it be as warm as his body that was lying on top of her carelessly? He groaned. “I can smell you. Stop thinking about our situation, please?” Ira frowned. He can smell my thoughts? Ho*ly Shi*t! I have been thinking of what it would feel like to have him inside me! She blushed. And realised he was talking about her arousal. Oh yes! The bloody werewolf sense of smell! She tried relaxing. In a way, his closeness helped. It was strange how his touch could both fuel her excitement and calm her too. This bond was something! As her anxiety reduced she realised that James must have found a way to be in control of the situation again. If he was able to harness the powers of the elements, he surely would keep himself and Kirra safe. The comforting thought helped, as she just waited for the storm to pass. The deep brown eyes of the man on top of her were peering at her. Not bad! Oh Moon God! He looks yum!! What will I do with my crazy heart? His tanned body and 5 O'clock shadow tempted her as he frowned at her face. She couldn't hold it any longer and giving in to her desire, she rested her hands on his head and pulled him close to her. Only a peck on his lips was enough to push him over the thin line of control and they started kissing passionately. Nibbling and biting. This time she pushed her tongue against his lips. He opened his mouth and pulled her tongue into the warm depths of his hot orifice. As her wetness increased she started moving her body under him. She wanted more. A lot more! Liam broke their contact and looked into her eyes. "You are going to be the death of me!" His throaty gruff voice tickled her ears and made goosebumps rise on her neck. He leaned closer to her neck and breathed in. "Oh yes! You are going to be the death of me!" He kissed the nape of her. licking and sucking on the delicate skin at the junction of her neck and shoulder, sending shivers of passion running through her veins. He stopped abruptly. His devilishly beautiful face was contorted in pain. A deep frown on his forehead and blank eyes scared Ira. What was happening? Liam suddenly got up and pulled her out of the ditch. He looked at her and grimaced. Is he regretting this? I shouldn't have kissed him! He is unavailable! A sharp pain cut through her heart as she remembered Monike. It wasn't Monike's fault! It was an important political arrangement. Liam's face looked blank as if he was thinking of something else. Was he thinking of what he would say to Monike? "Sorry! It won't happen again. You don't need to tell Monike. I don't want to hurt her or cause mayhem in your engagement." She murmured dusting her shorts. He did not respond. He suddenly turned into his huge snow-white wolf and pranced towards the storm. "Wait! Where are you going? What about the storm?" She ran behind him trying to catch up. "Liam wait!" But he was too fast. She continued following the trail and finally found him again. Lying on the forest floor writhing in pain. She felt the same sharp pain she had felt before, but this time it was in her head. What is happening? Is this what Liam is feeling? Have our souls already started connecting? This can't be good! She bent down next to Liam trying to soothe him as his wolf whined in pain. "Oh, poor baby!" She caressed the soft fur on his head. "Your head is hurting too? Must be the storm. It will soon be alright!" Her touch seemed to help. Liam's wolf stood again and gestured her to climb onto his back. She somehow understood what his doleful eyes were trying to convey. Once she was safely nestled on his back he bound towards the place where James, Kirra and Miriam were. The storm had died down. There was debris of fallen trees and rocks all around. The witch knelt in front of Kirra and James walked up to her saying something. They were all drenched. Did it rain? Liam stopped and Ira got down. He then ran towards James. Ira's heart raced. Liam was going to kill her brother and his mate! "Liam! Stop!" She ran after him. As James touched Miriam's forehead terrible pain shot through Ira's head. She realised it was Liam's pain but Liam kept moving ahead. The pain was too much. Bile rose to Ira's throat as the unbearable pain enveloped her. Her vision turned blurry and speed slowed down even as she saw Liam ram against James. "Noooo!" She whispered. *****
