Bella went on and on about not wanting to meet Jade. She was worried about coming face to face with Lucas. She had been successful in diverting her mind and her wolf from constantly lamenting about her mate.
She had kept herself busy with her work, and whenever she had any free time, she would get into combat practice with her brother. It helped her blow off steam and stay active. That's one of the reasons why Bella had spent little time with Ira since the Monike incident.
