Zayde's Point of View We close in fast, the entire inner circle converging from every direction. Chloe bursts into a small clearing, and stops. Her paws dig into the dirt, her hackles raised, her ears pinned back against her head as she watches me approach. The white of her fur looks almost silver under the moonlight, but it is her eyes that hit me the hardest. Those glowing, unnatural blue orbs lock on me with nothing familiar about them. I shift back to my human form before taking a step towards her. Her lips peel back as she bares her teeth at me, and a deep, warning growl comes out of her chest. “Chloe…” My voice is low and careful. I take another step towards her, slowly, and deliberately.
