She pushed a large cupboard out of the way and it revealed a door. She twisted the handle and pushed it open as the footsteps grew closer.
Halfway through the door, a bullet hit the door beside my head. She pushed me down and fired a shot.
“Go” she pushed me ahead and fired a round of shots. I ran as fast as my leg would carry me while bending until I was across the yard. Violet followed after me while shooting at the intruders. Adam joined us and we began our sprint into the jungle.
We ran for a while and stopped under a tree.
“Wait here” Violet instructed as she disappeared into the forest.
“Here” Adam handed his back pack over to me.
“What’s this for?”
“It’s educative. Everything you need to know about my findings on ODE and the pyramid” he said while trying to catch his breath.
