“I can take care of myself but you have to leave now” she murmured frantically.
“Don’t say that” I swiped the key card on the bars and it gave way. The moment the bars opened, there was a ruckus.
The other inmates had seen she had been set free and they wanted out. They banged so loudly on their gates and for a moment I feared an alarm would go off or a ream of security would come in here.
I wished I could set them free but it would be difficult to contain them and could possibly attract the attention of the others. I had to be selfish and think of just getting myself and Violet out of the building.
We opened the doors and the dead guard was still laying there. I hurriedly stripped him and tossed her his clothes.
