I winced at the throbbing in my head as I slowly regained consciousness. The last events before I passed out replayed in my head and I jerked violently.
My eyes opened and I looked around. I was in a cold and dark room. My hands were bound and so was my feet.
I cursed myself for attacking. I had endangered Violet. My only hope was that she got out safely.
“You are finally awake” an awfully familiar voice said to me. I tried to remember where I heard the voice but I just couldn’t.
“Who are you?”
“That should not be your concern now” what the f**k did that mean.
“You promised to let us go if I complied. I’m willing too now. Just don’t do anything to Violet” he laughed. He laughed so hard it sounded he was out of breath.
What I failed to understand was why he was laughing so much.
