"Lillibeth.". I said as I walked into our room. After our meeting in the office, she's been very quiet. I looked around and saw her staring out the window. 'Red?' I said through our mind link. Her head picked up as she turned around and looked at me. "Sorry, I didn't hear you come in." She looked away to the floor before she went back to looking outside. "Honey, what's wrong?" I closed the door and walked up to her. "It's nothing." She said like she was still in her own little world. I kissed her neck and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Let me help." Her fingers glided over my arms. "This is all new to me and goes against everything that I was taught." I gave her a reassuring squeeze before turning her to face me. "I'm not used to depending on anyone else's strength besides my own."
So she was willing to go in alone the entire time without backup?
"So why were you upset?" I leaned my forehead against hers, "Argent. His teachings. What if I put the kids in danger because of my pride?" She's worried about the children... I pulled her close and held her close to me. "Lillibeth, I haven't known you for very long, but I know you're a very skilled badass. Those kids will be in no greater hands than yours." I kissed the top of her head.
I felt her eyes close as she breathed out. "Argent is a big pain in my ass. I can't wait until he's dead." She lifted her head up and looked me in the eyes. "Thank you, Damien." She lifted her hand and placed it on my cheek.
"I'll do anything to make you happy. I would give you the moon if it would make you happy." She looked taken back my words. "Where would we keep the moon? In our backyard?" She chuckled out. I started to laugh with her. "Actually, I would like having the moon in the backyard all the time. We would be the only pack with our own private moon." She pursed her lips, "Phssttt." She started laughing hard. If I wasn't holding her up I'm sure she would have been doubled over laughing. "f**k, I love you so much, Damien.". I stared down at her as Raph started howling loudly in my head. She said she loves me. Not just implying it, but she actually said it. I smiled down at her before I started to kiss my mark. "You don't know how happy I am to hear you say that." I picked her up and caught her lips with mine.
I deepen the kiss as she grabs onto my hair to stabilize herself in my arms. Her arms moved up around my shoulders and neck. I walk over to the bed and place her on it while I crawl on top of her. Never once breaking away from the kiss. Her hands moved down from my hair as her fingers began to dance down my chest to my hips. She undid my belt and unbuttoned my pants. Her hands then traveled up and under my shirt. Her fingers left little bursts of sparkles as they glided up and down the bare skin of my back and chest. I glided my hand up her thigh and up the long shirt. I got to her stomach and she gasped lightly as the sparks travelled from my fingertips to her body. But she never broke away from the kiss, instead she deepened the kiss and reacted to every inch of my touch like she was craving more of it.
"Damien." A female called out, followed by a knock at the door. We stopped and glared at the door. I let out a low growl before answering. "Who is it and what do you want?" I could tell that it wasn't my mother, so I didn't have to be polite. Red snickered as she lifted herself up with one elbow, her free arm was gliding and racking my back as she began to nibble on my earlobe.
"Damien, my love, it's me. Don't you recognise my voice?" s**t, it's that w***e Ashely. She has been trying to get to me before I found Crystal. And once I found Crystal, she made sure to make Crystal unhappy. That was until I found out and threatened to kick her out of the pack. After Crystal died she went back to being all over me.
Red's head snapped towards the door, as I'm sure if she had her daggers they would have been thrown at the door to scare her off. "Babe, I've come to welcome you back. I've missed you so much." Red's nails were digging into my skin as she pulled me down towards her possessively. "Ashely, I don't want to see you.". I growled out. She pushed the handle of the door down and began to open the door. "But Damien cakes, we were so close..." She stood in the doorway staring at us.
She hasn't really changed in the time I've been gone. Scrawny, with barely any muscle. She wore clothes that were way too revealing and her hair was always styled.
"Oh, and who is this?" Ashely crossed her arms and threw out her nonexisting hip. "Damien cakes, you shouldn't pick up trash, you don't know where it's been." She said while shaking her head the entire time she walked up to us. Red pushed me off her as she walked up to Ashely. Grabbing her fake blonde hair, Red dragged her out of the room. Red threw her into the hallway before staring down at her. "You slut, do you know who I am?!" Ashely screamed. I saw Red's hand twitch before she walked up to her and kicked her in the stomach. Ashely involuntarily gasped and started coughing. "I know who you are. You're someone who's lucky not to be nine feet under for interrupting us." Red glared down at her. Ashely stared up at her before she lowered her head, trying to make herself as small as possible. "You heard your Alpha. He does not wish to see you at this moment. So scram!" With that said, Ashely scrambled to her feet as she ran away.
Red walked back into the room and closed the door before looking back at me. The silver in her eyes was being overtaken but that beautiful honey brown colour. "Lillibeth?" I walked up to her and glided my hand down her cheek. "f*****g mood killer." She spat out before she grabbed her pj's and headed to the bathroom to get changed. I shook my head and smiled as I replayed what just happened in my head.
Ashely wouldn't be able to bully Red as she did with Crystal. And Moon Goddess help her if she pissed Red off anymore.
I let out a chuckle as Red walked up to me. "Damien cakes..." She said, mocking Ashely's voice. "f**k. How on earth did you ever let that b***h near you?" She asked before she saddled me on the bed. "I didn't. She's one of those who thrive on rejection." Red rolls her eyes before she poked my cheek. "How did Crystal deal with her? You know, without putting that b***h nine feet under?" I laughed and rubbed my nose against hers. "Crystal was nice to everyone. She was the nicest person in the whole pack and everyone, except Ashely, loved her. She just asked her continuously to leave me alone. Ashely never took the hints and started to make Crystal's life hard." I fell back onto the bed and stared up at Red as she remained seated on my lap. "Yeah, not happening. She'll learn her place one way or another." Red said as she leaned forward and kissed my lips. "I wouldn't expect anything less. You have my full permission to maul that b***h if she pisses you off." I held her beautifully pissed-off face in my hands. "Oh, so she's the one expectation?" She wiggled her brow before she smiled down at me. "Per-fect."
I rolled her over so that I leaned over her. "Red, I have to ask. Your eyes...." I said to her as she rolled her eyes. "I figured you would have noticed by now." She said before looking up at me. "Yes, I know they change between silver and brown. No, I don't do it intentionally ." She said before looking into my eyes. "The night of the full moon, the very first one we spent together. Your eyes went silver for a bit." She just shrugged. "They just do that. Most of the time when I'm in a killing mood, or just plain super pissed." I give my head a little nod before I stared down at her lips.
Before I could begin to devour them, she spoke. "Speaking of eyes..." She looked up at me. "Raphael's eyes are...." I looked down at her inquisitively. "They're blue." I finished off her sentence. "I don't know how much of what Argent has taught us is true. But he said there was something special about blue-eyed wolfs..." She sounded a little unsure of her words. "And what would that be?" This is the first I've heard of it. She frowned before looking up at me. "I was hoping you would tell me. I kind of forgot." I chuckled down at her. "Well, I know I'm special. But only because I have you." She chuckled before she reached up and pulled me in for a kiss. "Smooth. Very smooth."
I tried to deepen the kiss and pick up where we left off but she pulled away and went into bed. f*****g mood ruining b***h, Ashely.
The following morning, Red and I made our way down for breakfast after we showered. She seemed slightly in a better mood than yesterday. We were just talking about some random decoration that she had seen in the hallway when we walked into the dining room. My father was busy with his morning coffee and some books he decided to read. After we exchanged greetings, Red continued to speak about some other random things she had noticed. I think it's just too cute.
The omegas came and placed our food in front of us before leaving. Before we could dig in, Red's chair was pulled away from the table and pulled up at an angle, making her slide off and onto the ground. I looked back and saw Ashely carrying the chair back to the table and sitting down next to me. "I'm sorry, I'm late my love." Her sheer bravery stunned us all. I was still trying to process what happened when she glided her hand over my cheek. I literally would have preferred to be covered by bugs than having her touch me.
I heard what I thought was a growl before I saw a hand grabbing onto Ashely's hair. "I see we didn't learn our lesson last night." Red pulled her head back so hard the chair tipped backward. Red threw Ashely's head hard onto the ground. Ashley clutched her head before she tried to kick Red. "Why don't you go back to the gutter he pulled you from?!" Ashely got her feet and started shouting at Red. "Why don't you go back to the hole you crawled out of before I...." Red was screaming back at her before Ashely slapped her.
My father and I continued to stare at them. 'Damien, Lillibeth's eyes are changing colour.' My father came through the mind link. I looked at Lillibeth as she clutched her hands in a fist and slammed them into Ashely's face. As soon as her fist connected with Ashely's face there was a crunch sound. I assume that she had broken her nose. Ashely stumbled back, Red threw another punch, and Ashely fell back. It took Red like 0.5 seconds to get down on top of her as she started to beat her.
'Damien. Stop them.' My father scolded me through the link. 'Let them fight it out.' I said back as Red continued to pummel Ashely. I'm not stopping her. Ashely walked into this herself.
I see a pair of slippers appear in my vision. I looked up and saw my mother yawning. The moment her eyes landed on Red and Ashely she immediately went into Luna mode. "Lillibeth. Ashely. Stop fighting this instant!" She said before she tried to pull them apart. Ashley took this as her opportunity to cuddle up to my mother while hiding behind her from Red. "Why are you two fighting so early in the morning?" my mother asked as she held Ashely behind her. "Luna, I was just claiming my rightful place next to your son, when this thing came up behind me and started to beat me." My mother's eyes widened as she listened to Ashely speak. She stepped closer to us before she nodded her head to Lillibeth. "I see if that's the case. Then continue." I began to chuckle as Red launched herself at Ashley. Ashley started to struggle against Red, but Red was easily overpowering her.
They were almost out the door when the twins came in. They picked them up and pulled them apart. Luckily, Red wasn't fighting the twins but she was trying to get to Ashley. "Okay, anyone want to inform us about what's happening?" they both asked. "Bradley." Ashely looked up and croaked out to Xavier. "I'm Xavier." He groaned out. Lillibeth stopped trying to break away from Bradley as she glared down at Ashely. "Xavier, Bradley. You know I've always thought of you as my baby brothers." She squealed out. Xavier and Bradley exchanged a look. The 'we would prefer if you didn't look. Before she continued. "Please help me convince this piece of trash that I'm the best for your brother.". I swear if I didn't know that Red was going to pummel her, I would have been pissed. The twins, on the other hand, exchanged another look before they smiled widely. Bradley released Red and Xavier held onto Ashley as Red lunged for her again. Once Ashley was firmly in Red's clutches, Xavier released them.
Red continued her assault as Ashley tried to scrum away. It seemed as if Red got bored with beating her because she stood up and kicked her into the hallway. She twirled and walked back to me. Red picked up the chair and sat down next to me.
"I'm all for morning training before breakfast but isn't the whole pack supposed to be involved?" She asked me as we all began to eat like nothing had happened. "Oh, yes. There is morning training. I had completely forgotten about that. I should start getting back into that.". I said. It's been such a long time since I've trained with the pack. I'm sure they will all laugh at me for the lack of my upkeep.
"Ha. We are going to kick your ass in the morning training. Just say when you want to start. We will make sure to be up early, just to kick your ass." The twins laughed out. "Could I train with you guys?" Red chipped in. I glanced over at my father as he seemed amused. "Of course, you can.". I said while leaning over to her. "I don't know when last I had a proper sparing session." She chuckled out as the twins started laughing. "What's so funny?" I asked the boys. "The fact that she is going to kick a lot of members' asses. We are going to have to start making a list of who we want to see their asses being kicked." The twins chuckled. Lillibeth started to chuckle with them. "Make your list boys. And make sure it's long." She smiled at them from across the table.
After we had finished breakfast, Lillibeth and I went to the office. I was going over some papers and Red was busy snooping around the office. Picking up a paperweight every now and then.
Tristan and Victor walked into the office. "Damien, why is Ashely crying in the medical wing?" Victor spoke up. Red started to chuckle as she continued to snoop through the office. "I have no idea why." I tried to say as unamused and content as I could. "Lillibeth, do you know why?" I said before turning to her. She smiled widely at me before she shrugged her shoulders. "Who's Ashely?" She said, acting dumb. "You two are terrible liars." Tristan folded his arms and shook his head. "What did she do now?" Victor asked while face-palming himself. "Damien cakes. I missed you so much." Red came up behind me and cuddled me from behind. "Where did you ever find this piece of trash?" Again she was mocking Ashely's voice the entire time. Victor started to laugh. "Damien cakes?" Tristan eyed me. "That's what she called him." Red started laughing as she sat on the arm of my chair.
"All I did was introduce myself a little." She shrugged her shoulders as she held onto my shoulder. "And now she's sitting in the medical wing looking like a stampede of deer ran her down?" She gave them an innocent look like she had nothing to do with it but we all know that's nonsense. "What she does with her spare time is her prerogative. She has to learn to accept the repercussions of her actions. If she chooses to be run over by deer, then she must accept the fact that she will not come out without harm." She chuckled out.
"So on the topic of anything but that wrench Ashley. Is there training tomorrow? I need to get back in shape.". I said to them. They both chuckle at me. "You don't remember your father's schedule?" They both chuckle at me. "Every day at 5 am and a second session at the weekend at three in the afternoon." Thank the Moon Goddess it's Monday. My muscles would be screaming at me if I started this on the weekend, I would have collapsed. "That's good. Lillibeth will be joining us." The boys raised their brows before looking at her. "You mean the women's training?" Red rolled her eyes as she picked up a paperweight from my desk. "Is Ashely going to be my sparring partner?" We all started laughing.
"Alpha?" A little girl's voice stammered in from the door. We all look over at Precious by the door frame. Red put the paperweight down before she stood up and walked to her. "Good morning Precious." Red smiled at her as she went down on her knees seamlessly. Precious's eyes lit up. "Good morning Lillibeth.". She said before throwing her arms around her neck. "What brings you here so early?" Red asked while she picked her up. "Mommy had to go to the town again." Red and I stared at Precious. "Which town?" Red asked. "The human town." Her head snapped back to me and I immediately knew why.
I looked away from her and to Tristan and Victor before I started to mindlink them. 'Didn't my father say there wasn't supposed to be anyone who was to go to the town?' Tristan was first to answer, 'He did.' Victor stepped forward. 'Do you want me to go fetch her?' I look down at the desk before I link Red. 'Should Victor go get her?' Red turned to me before she shook her head. 'It'll be very suspicious if we do that. But I thought I made it clear that it was dangerous.' I nodded my head and linked the other two. 'No. But I want her in my office when she comes back. Also, make sure everyone, and I mean everyone, knows that travel to the town is forbidden.' Both of them nodded their heads before heading out. 'Yes, alpha.' My eyes widened as I didn't realise I was using my alpha tone.
"So what do you need, sweetheart?" I turned towards them and looked at Red as she held onto her. Who would have thought that badass psychopath that everyone feared is so kind and caring?. "I was wondering if Lillibeth could come to play with me again?" She asked shyly. I swear I have never seen a more genuine smile appear on Red's face. "As long as I can have the Luna back by lunchtime." Precious stared at Red and then at me. "Lillibeth is our new Luna? What happened to Luna Cathrine?" I chuckled as Red looked slightly confused. "Nothing has happened to her, sweety. She's going to retire soon and Lillibeth is going to do her work. But it's a secret." I made it look like I was turning a key by my mouth. "So don't tell anyone, okay?" Precious smiled widely as she nodded her head. "I promise Alpha."
Red chuckled as she walked up to me. She gave me a kiss on my forehead before she left. 'Aren't you going to ask what she meant?' I asked through the link. 'Later, I have another appointment at the moment.' I smiled down at my desk as I imagined her carrying Precious. I wonder what she would be like with our own pup?
Precious had Red the whole morning. I couldn't even complain if I wanted to. I would go check on them for my own peace of mind and all I saw was Precious and Red playing together. And I swear I wanted nothing more than to put a pup in her so she could have her own child.
By lunch, Precious was all tuckered out and was barely able to eat. Though I loved to see everyone's faces when Red started feeding Precious. After lunch, Red put Precious down for a nap in one of the spare rooms.
As she was closing the door, I grabbed her waist and pulled her to me so I could kiss her neck. "I missed you.". I said through the kisses. She chuckled and held my head. "Why? You were basically spying on us every fifteen minutes." She chuckled out. "I was not." I tried to sound as convincing as possible. "Oh really." She turned around and tapped my cheek with her hand a few times. "Then, when were you going to tell me about your twin brother." She chuckled and walked away from me.
We walked down the stairs and into my office. "So tell me, has her mother returned?" Red turned around and looked at me. I shook my head and closed the door. I stalk towards her like she's my prey. She doesn't seem phased at all. She just gives me a sexy smile as I make up to her. "Nothing yet. Don't worry, I'll deal with her." I said as I lifted her up and put her on my desk, stepping in between her legs.
"So what's a Luna?" She asked as I started to kiss my mark on her neck. 'The female version of an Alpha. Normally the alpha's mate.' I said through our link because I was enjoying kissing her skin. 'So am I going to be your Luna?' She asked, combing my hair with her fingers. 'But of course, beautiful.' I continued to nibble on her. 'If I come back from Argent.' She said. 'If? If? There's no way you're not going to come back to me.' I growled through our link. 'You're the Little Red Psychopath. There's no one you can't kill.'
I pulled away from her neck and stared into her eyes. They widened before she looked down. 'That's not completely true.' I stared down at her head. 'What does that mean? Is there someone you can't kill?' I lifted her head up as she refused to look me in the eye. 'No matter how many times we fought and what we've done, we have never been able to kill each other. Even with a direct order from Argent.' She snaked her fingers over my arms, her nails making goosebumps rise on my arms. 'Is this person just as good as you are?' I moved my hands onto her waist and held her close. 'Almost.' I moved my head next to hers to offer her some sort of comfort. 'It's Blue.'
Blue? Little Boy Blue? Red can't kill him? If they are so evenly matched that they end in a stalemate, then once she has the kids, he'll have the upper hand. Wait. She said, even with a direct order from Argent.
"Why?" I couldn't stop the word from leaving my mouth. I was just so dumbfounded. "Because he's my brother." She practically whispered out. I felt like someone just dumped cold water straight on top of me. "Blue is your...?" I don't even know where I am anymore. Little Boy Blue is her brother?
I was lost in my mind for who knows how long. "Damien say something." I looked down at Red as she stared up at me. "Blue is your brother?" She nodded her head. "Why didn't you tell me before?" Red looked down at the floor. "Because I didn't want you to think that if push came to shove that I wouldn't protect you."
Protect me?
"What do you mean?" I tried to look into her eyes but she continued to look away from me. "I mean, if he ever threatened you or the pack, I wouldn't think twice about ending him." I looked at her confusedly, "But you said you couldn't." Now all of a sudden she can. "Because I never had a good enough reason." She lifted her head and looked me in the eyes. "If he tried to hurt you, I'll end him before he can even get his dagger out the holster." My beautiful killer mate. She's willing to kill her only family member just to protect me.
I scooped her into my arms and twirled her around the office. "I honestly hope it doesn't come to that. Thank you for telling me." I captured her lips in a hungry kiss. She pulled back and looked at me like I had lost my mind. "Aren't you mad?" She gave me a confused look. "I was stunned, honey." I twirled her around. "I guess, I was a little upset you didn't tell me earlier." I planted a kiss on her cheek. "If the situation was different, then I would have loved to meet him." I chuckle as she looked at me. "Lillibeth, I love you. And I'm grateful that you trusted me enough to tell me."
I pinned her to the wall and set my glare straight on her. "That being said beautiful. Any hint of it going south, you link me immediately and I will be by your side as soon as physically possible." She gave me a relieved smile before she kissed me. "Of course. If I don't, I give you full permission to punish me in any way you wish." Her arms went around my neck as she hugged me. I closed my eyes and leaned down toward her.
