Damien's POV 'She's good with very little practice.' Raph said to me. 'I know. And she just looks like the most adorable living thing when she acts like a child.' I chuckle as I hear her stomp her feet. Honestly, I can't help but continue to think about what she had said. There is so much that I didn't know about her and there is so much I want to know about her. But the main part of her past is that bastard Argent. He hurt her, most probably killed her parents. I'm sure it pisses her off to not be able to remember it. That bastard hurt her. I can't stand thinking about allowing her to go back to him. There has to be another way to save those kids. I have a week to change her mind or at least think of something else. Once I reach the kitchen, the omega's have breakfast almost ready. I walked through to the dining room, where my father was sitting drinking his morning coffee. I pulled the chair out and sat down in front of him. "Morning father.". I said as I ran my hand through my hair. "Morning son." He said. "Did you not sleep well? You look worried..." He put his cup down and looked. "It's Lillibeth. I don't want her to go near that Argent.". I said, looking up at him. "I just found out that he trained her and that he..." I couldn't even complete my sentence. My hands were balled into fists as I slammed them down on the table. "He hurt her and killed her parents?" My father asked. "Yes to the first, most probably yes to the second.". I said. "Most probably?" My father raised his brow. "She doesn't remember what happened.". I mumbled out as an omega brought me coffee. My father raised his brow before he looked over my shoulder. I glanced back and saw Red coming into the room. She walked up to me and flicked my head before she came to sit next to me. "Morning." She smiled at my father. Her smile warmed my heart, it was so sincere. Like she's always been here, she just acted like part of the pack. "Good morning." My father said before the omega's brought in breakfast. "Cathrine and the twins are not morning people. You'll probably see them stirring around noon." My father chuckled. "Damien and I used to be the only ones who would be up before the sun." Red's eyes widened before she eyed me and started laughing. "So waking me up at three in the morning isn't going to be a one-time thing?" She turned to ask me sarcastically. "Although I'm used to it, I'm not sure what I would do if he makes a habit of it." My father began to laugh with her. My heart soared at how comfortable she was here. The Moon Goddess sure has blessed me once more and has even made sure that she's comfortable here, with me and my pack. I leaned towards her and kissed her forehead. She dropped her fork in shock before she looked up at me and smiled. I leaned down to her and rubbed my head against hers. I glance at my father as he smiles at us. "Since I'm back, father, I should start taking back my duties." I smiled at him while holding onto Red's hips. "I was waiting for you two to settle in before suggesting you take the title back." My father said. "Father, it wasn't fair of me to leave and expect you to run the pack in my absence." I said to him. I lifted the fork to my mouth and started to chew when Red came through via our mind link. 'Especially when you weren't planning to come back.' In a surprise, I swallowed what I was chewing. I started coughing before it turned into a chuckle. "And besides, Lillibeth is going to be here for a week or so before she heads to the town. So, I can start taking over again and by the time Lillibeth needs to go to the town I will have everything under control." My father nods his head. "That's fine by me. In half an hour I'll be in the office with Tristan and Victor. Whom, by the way, have been dying to talk to you since you came home." I chuckled before I realized my best friends were going to bark my ears off when my father wasn't around. Tristan, my beta, is the strongest and smartest in the pack. Victor, my gamma or third, is the pack's best tracker and ladies' man. Actually, both were still unmated when I left and were always going through ladies-like flavors for the week. "Are they still unmated, father?" I had to ask. I'm not worried about Red, but I'm interested in what has changed in the pack since I've left. My father sighed before he rolled his eyes. "Yes, but they've run out of girls in the pack." My father started to chuckle and I couldn't help but join him. After we finished eating, I accompanied Red back up the stairs as we washed and changed. I'm glad that no one else was around, because she was only wearing my shirt and, for some of the unmated wolves, that's more than enough to earn their stares and have me fight with some poor pack member for staring at my mate. "So, you've told me about your family, but who are Tristan and Victor?" Red came out from the bathroom in that tight long shirt and leggings. "They are my second and third in command." Red tied her hair up in a long ponytail and walked up to me. "So which one is which?" I leaned down and kissed her nose. She's so cute, being all inquisitive and all. "Tristan is my Beta and Victor is my Gamma." I said. Red looked at me like I was talking some foreign language. "Beta? Gamma? So is Beta the second and Gamma is the third?" I started to chuckle and nodded my head. "You're so smart." She sat down on the bed and looked up at me. "What did your father's comment mean?" She flipped her hair behind her shoulder. I started chuckling, "They don't have mates. There's no guarantee that a wolf's mate will be from the same pack or even from the neighboring packs." I pulled her closer. "They haven't met their mates yet, so they are looking for love the human way." Red gave me a look like she didn't believe what I was saying. She looked down at my pants before she looked me in the eye. "I'm sure that's what they were looking for." She said sarcastically. I started to laugh. She hadn't met them but she seemed to know them all too well. "Are you going to stay close by?" I asked her as I held her face in my hands. 'Are you worried that I'm going to run off and go after Argent while your back's turned?' She gave me a sarcastic smile before she tapped my nose. "Fear not, mister Alpha. I'm gonna stick close to the packhouse." I nodded my head and kissed her cheek. She mind linked me to prove a point. She never struggled with it and she could use it like she was one of us. "I'm going to be with my father in the Alpha's office if you need me. Once we finished I'm going to introduce you to them." She chuckled and nodded her head. "Should I be wary?" As she stood up off the bed, I started to laugh, "They wouldn't try it." I said as she smacked her ass. "You're mine." I growled lightly at her. She shook her ass in front of me. "But, of course, Alpha." She twirled around and faced me. She smirked as she slapped her thighs. I growled at her as she started to walk towards me. "I'm all yours." She stood up in front of me. She lifted my head and looked into my eyes. "Don't you have a meeting to go to?" She smiled playfully down at me. "The pack can be his for five minutes more." I said as I grabbed her ass. "Since when have we ever taken five minutes?" She tapped my nose as I released her. She had a point. We were never fast. I huffed as she winked at me. 'It's your fault anyway. I wanted to celebrate this morning.' She walked towards the door and walked out, leaving me alone. Later in the office... "So there have been no problems expecting that prick, Drake?" I said after my father explained what happened during the time I was away. "Yeah. He's tried to expand his territory three times since you left.". Victor said. "And then this whole Little Boy Blue thing also came about.". Tristan said. "The only good thing that came from his arrival was that Drake stopped his expanding. Probably too scared to get any closer." I nodded my head. Luckily, there weren't a lot of things that went wrong. 'Yeah, only one big thing.' Raph said. 'I feel bad enough Raph.' I said back at him. After my father left, Tristan and Victor took this as their chance. "Where the hell have you been?" They shouted at me. "Dude, you've been MIA for so long, we thought you were dead." Victor shouted at me. "I nearly was." I chuckled before I explained to them everything that happened. "How the f**k is that fair? How come you get to find two mates and we can't even find one?" Victor whined out. I chuckled before I replied to him. "Because the Moon Goddess likes me more." I stuck my tongue out like a five-year-old before laughing at Victor's pissed-off look. "So when are you going to introduce us to her? Or are you going to lock her up like some breakable vase?" Tristan asked me. "I told her I would introduce you guys after the meeting. Let me find out where she is." They looked at each other before looking at me. "How?" I looked at them before I explained how I could mindlink her. "Damn dude, she let you do that?" I ignored his question and looked away. 'Red?' I said through the mind link. 'What's up, Damien?' She said back. 'We finished with the meeting. Can you come to the office?' I asked her. Ignore the two in front of me, who are busy bombarding me with questions. 'I'm preoccupied at the moment.' She said. 'Where are you?' My pulse started to quicken as I thought that she was busy fighting with someone. 'The back of the packed house. If you're coming, could you bring some finger sandwiches please?' Finger sandwiches? What was she busy with? I told Tristan and Victor to follow me as we made our way outside the packed house with a tray of finger sandwiches. Tristan and Victor snickered behind me all the way as everyone eyed me holding the tray like some omega. "Dude, why are you being a waiter?" Victor asked. "Lillibeth asked me to bring them.". I said like it was obvious. I was not prepared for the scene that greeted me. Red's POV Once I left the room, I started to wander around the packhouse. I had already seen the front, so the back would be my main focus. I turned my head and started to look at every angle I could find to get through their defense. Something I normally do. But this time I was doing it to help improve it. I look at the right corner of the house and see a little girl no older than six at a small set of tables and chairs having a tea party all to herself. I watched as every time someone passed she would ask them to join her. The kids would laugh and run off, while the adults just patted her head and moved along like she hadn't said anything. I walked up to her and smiled down at her as she looked at me a bit warily. I'm not surprised. I'm sure she doesn't recognise me. "Could you have a tea party with me?" She asked nervously. I smiled down at her. "I would love to join your tea party." I sat down on the ridiculously small chair that made me look like a giant. Her eyes lit up as she watched me sit. "I'm Lillibeth. What's your name?" I asked her. "I'm Precious." She stood up and walked to me with the teapot. "Would you like some tea?" She asked, I nodded my head. "If it wouldn't be too much trouble." She poured and something came out from the pot. I thought for sure it was going to be imaginary tea. "Why, thank you so much." I lifted the cup up and drank it. It was juice. I chuckled inwardly to myself. With our pinkies raised and plenty of juice hidden under the table, we were there for a while. When Damien's mind linked me, I knew I wouldn't leave this little girl alone. "Precious, would you like some finger sandwiches? I can have a waiter bring us some." Precious's eyes lit up as she nodded her head. I asked Damien to bring them since I was preoccupied. When Damien walked up to us, he put his free arm behind him and bowed before he placed the finger sandwiches down. Precious gasped as she saw him. "Alpha." She yelped out. "Why, thank you very much.". I said to him. I saw two other men close behind him. Most probably his Beta and Gamma. "Would you three care to join us?" I asked while I sipped my juice with my pinkie in the air. "Alpha, please don't worry yourself.". Precious said. Damien smiled at me as I picked up one of the sandwiches. "We would love to join two gorgeous ladies such as yourselves." He said before he bowed again. He looked at the other two while mind linking them. They looked to be arguing before Damien smiled in victory as the other two sat on either side of me. Damien came to sit next to me while Precious poured them some juice. "Lillibeth, this is the Beta, Tristan." Damien pointed at him. I watched as he lifted his cup and drank. Even with clothes on, you could see he was built. Pitch black hair and bright blue eyes. He has a very prominent cheekbone structure. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." I said while remaining in character. He looked at me before giving me this heart-stopping grin. Man, if Damien wasn't my mate I would seriously like to cozy up to him. I heard a low growl and remembered that Damien was sitting next to me. Tristan looked up at Damien before he looked away towards Precious. Damien held onto my waist and glared at Tristan. I looked at him before turning my attention to his Gamma. He was slightly slimmer than Damien, his blonde hair stood out against his extremely tanned skin and green eyes. "That would make Victor, correct?" I smiled at him as he nodded his head, trying his best not to look at me. "Yes, ma'am." Did he call me ma'am? How old is he? I look over him and I swear I know why these men go through women every week. Because they can. They are mouth-watering handsome. "And who is this cutie?" Damien cooed in my ear. "This is Precious." Precious stared at the men before she let out a murmured hi. It took Precious's mother like five seconds to get to us when she came round the corner. "Alpha, Beta, Gamma." She said as she looked at all of us. "Is something wrong? Has Precious done something she's not supposed to?" she frantically asked. "No. None at all. We were all just enjoying this fabulous tea party she was hosting." Damien stood up and smiled at her. "Thank you for looking after her Alpha." She gave her head a bow. Precious came up and bowed her head. "Thank you for playing with me, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma." She turned and smiled at me, "And you too, Lillibeth." I stood up and walked with Damien and the other two into the house. "I got to admit Lillibeth, I didn't expect you to be with Precious.". Damien said as he opened the office's door. "So what did you think I was doing?" I asked as I sat on the corner of the table. I watched as the other two came in and sat on the couch. "Fighting with some pack member..." He trailed off as he sat in the big leather chair behind the desk. "Would you have preferred that? Because if you do, then I can start on it right away." I raised my brow and looked back at him with my signature sadistic smile. "I was gladly surprised when I saw you with her." He smiled back at me. "Killjoy." I chuckled out before I looked at Tristan and Victor. "I'm sorry to say, but Damien didn't talk about his life before we met." I looked down at them. "Could you two possibly tell me about yourselves?" I watched their eyes glaze over as they started to mind link. I glanced back at Damien and he looked annoyed that they were mind linking to each other. I winked at him before turning back to them. "Okay. If you two strong wolves are feeling a bit shy...." I stood up and walked round to Damien. "May I suggest you two ask me whatever you want to know.". I stood by Damien's side as my words snapped Victor and Tristan out of their conversation. "For real?" They both asked at the same time. I nodded my head as I smiled with amusement at them. "Is it true?" Victor blurted out. I looked down at Damien for help. Is what true? How obscure could he f*****g be? "What do you mean?" Damien raised his brow. Victor gulped before he looked at Tristan, who sighed. "That you came here with a silver dagger?" I chuckled and nodded my head. "Yes. I did come here armed with a silver and about two hundred more daggers." Victor leaned back on the couch and gulped. Tristan's eyes widened as he stared at me. "Why?" Victor mumbled out. I raised my brow, "Are you asking why I have so many? Or are you asking why did I come here with them?" Tristan looked back at Victor, who seemed to be cowering on the couch. "Both." Tristan turned to look back at me. "Okay...." I said and leaned forward on top of the table. "The silver dagger is my favourite so I'm not leaving it just anywhere and the others are my mementos." I smiled at them. Victor's head seemed to come out of his shell like some turtle, I assume, out of curiosity. "Mementos from what?" He mumbled out. I chuckled and looked back at Damien. "Should I tell them?" Damien turned his attention to the other two before he gave me a nod. "They are mementos from my kills." Tristan's eyes widened as Victor turned pale. "Two hundred and forty-seven daggers as mementos, a normal dagger... For the moment..." I mumbled the last part. Although it didn't go unheard by everyone. "And-of course, my silver-bladed, ivory-handled dagger." Tristan and Victor couldn't stop staring at me as they seemed to get paler and paler by the minute. I stood up properly before leaning against Damien's shoulder. "Just to clear things up, they used to call me The Little Red Psychopath." I tapped Damien on his shoulder like an excited kid. I watched as Tristan and Victor jumped to their feet as they stared at me. They both growled at me as their eyes changed from their original colour to an oaky brown colour. Damien leaned forward and growled loudly at them. They both turned their attention to him before their eyes returned to normal. "Well, I figured that was going to happen." I chuckled out. "I know, scary title to hear, especially since Little Boy Blue is floating about." I tapped Damien's arm before I leaned forward. "To put your mind at ease, I'm going to retire my title." Damien nudged closer and held my thigh. "What do you mean going too? Why not retire the title now?" Tristan glared at me. Ain't he f*****g cute trying to look tough like he wasn't having a miniature heart attack a moment ago. "I've still got a few more people that I need to cross off my list." Victor kind of hid behind Tristan. Tristan took a fighting stance like he was expecting me to jump them at that moment. I chuckled before I turned and leaned my hip against the table so I could see all three of them. "Damien, I thought you would have told them." I smacked his arm as Damien's eyes lit up in amusement. I turned and looked Tristan dead in the eye. "There's a very bad man that is going to teach the kids that were taken away to be very very bad men." I said to him like he was a small child. He growled at me because of this. I could practically feel Damien's chest rumbling as he was about to growl. I shook my head and started laughing. "His name is Argent. And he and anyone who stands in my way are on my list." Tristan stared at me as he was processing what I had said. Victor was looking confusedly between Damien and myself. "So I'm not going to kill anyone in the pack... Unless they stand in my way of getting to Argent." I shrugged before looking at them. "Anything else you want to know? Or is that more than enough for the first meeting?" I giggled out. Tristan stood up properly as he looked me over. "How are you going to do it alone?" I let out a laugh. "With the element of surprise." I made my hands do that firework as they exploded movement. "Besides-, cut off the head and the body would fall." I grinned at them that sarcastic smile of mine. The boys fell silent as they began to mindlink each other. I look back at Damien, who wasn't part of their conversation. 'What do you think they are saying?' I chuckled through our mind-link. 'I have no idea. They are blocking me out of their conversation.' He chuckled back. 'Doesn't that get annoying?' I raised my brow as he looked up at me. 'Sometimes it does but we are used to it.' He lifted his hand and held my thigh, he gave my thigh a little squeeze. 'Down boy.' I chuckled through the link as I turned towards them. "Ground control to space wolves, come in space wolfs.". I said with a chuckle. Damien burst out laughing as the boys snapped out of their mind-link conversation and started to laugh at my comment before they remembered who I was. They stifled their laughter as much as they could. Victor was the first to stop laughing but he continued to have an amused look on his face like I had broken the ice. And well, Tristan stopped laughing but he didn't stop smiling. "Who knew that a psychopath has a good sense of humor?" He chuckled out. "That's not all she has. She also has a quick draw mouth.". Damien said. I raised my brow and looked back at him. "You make it sound like I'm some cowboy that is ready for a showdown." I pointed my finger guns at him. "Pew pew." At that, the boys went back to laughing. I know it isn't easy trusting me, especially since they know who I am and what I've done. But I mean them no harm... Well, at the moment at least. Who knows, maybe some d**k would get on my nerves. Damien pulled me closer to him, "In about a weeks' time she's going to go looking for those pups that were taken. And we will be on high alert until they come home." I looked back at Damien, who had this hopeful twinkle in his eyes. I looked at the other two as the twinkle started shining in their eyes as well. "Damien, I've said it before." I sighed. I look up at them and the twinkle seems to have faded as they look at me. "There's no guarantee that they will be alive. Try not to get everyone's hopes up before my mission has even started." I looked down at him. "I don't know what Argent has even been doing." I continued. Victor and Tristan exchanged a look before they nodded to each other. f**k I hate mind linking. "We will have the warriors on high alert, ready for battle the whole time you're away. On your word, we will deploy our warriors to aid you." My eyes widened as I scanned Tristan the entire time he spoke. "You guys do know that the people I'm going to betray are like me?" He looked back at Victor before they both smiled at me. "Yes, and that's why we will be ready when you need us." I look back at Damien as he seemed to understand my confusion. "Lillibeth, you are a part of my pack now. Maybe a bit unofficially, but you will have the warriors and us to help and aid you." I stared down at him. I'm not used to being part of a team or needing the help of others. That was something Argent drilled hard into us. We should not depend on anyone but ourselves and if we depend on others' strength, then we deserved to die. Would I really be able to call out for him and his men to come to our aid? I am strong enough to handle myself against anyone that may be there. f**k it, I'm strong enough to kill anyone in my way... But, what of the children? Fuck! f*****g Argent! f**k him and his stupid teaching! f**k his messing up my head! I turned away from Damien and stared at his desk. "Let's just see what the situation is like before we get ahead of ourselves." In the corner of my eye, I saw Damien reach for me. "You're going to have to excuse me, I have to go sort out a few things." I said before I walked towards the door, avoiding Damien's reach. Damien's POV Red left us dumbfounded in the office as she left. I felt her anger bubbling within her, but I can't understand why. I looked back at Tristan and Victor as they stared at the door before they turned to me. "Did we do something wrong? We could practically feel the anger radiating off her." Tristan ferried his brow. "I honestly don't know. But I feel like it had something to do with that Argent." I said as I ran my fingers through my hair. "I swear on my ancestor's grave, that if she doesn't kill him, I will." I banged my fist against the table. "And we will help you." Both of them said while folding their arms against their chests. I smiled up at them as I stood up, pushing my chair back. I walked around the table and stood by them, "I'm not really complaining, but what made you two jump on her bandwagon after hearing what you heard?" Tristan looked back at Victor as he spoke. "After she started cracking jokes to lighten the mood, how could we not trust her?" Tristan chuckled before he turned to me. "We were on the fence at that stage. She's your mate, so we were surprised, that's all... But once you mentioned that she was going to go looking for those children. Children she hasn't met, she has no connection whatsoever. That was the tipping point for us." I threw my arms around their necks and pulled their heads down. "The Moon Goddess had blessed us with a kickass luna. You all better fall in love with her almost as much as I have, otherwise, I'll kick your asses." They pulled out of my grip and started laughing. Victor chuckled and left the office, mentioning that he had another appointment. Tristan and I just shook our heads, we knew that was code because he had some she-wolf waiting for him. "Damien." Tristan walked up to the door and closed it before he walked up to me and put his hand on my shoulder. "I can't imagine this was your idea. Especially after losing Crystal." I nodded my head. "Of course, it's not my idea. I don't even want her to f*****g go." Tristan's eyes widen before he chuckles. "Whoa, when did you learn to swear? Didn't you use to say that if your mother ever heard that you swore that she would wash your mouth out with soap?" I looked at him before I leaned against the table. "I guess Lillibeth was right. She has kind of been a bad influence on me." Tristan leaned against the wall. "So, whose idea was it?" I looked up at him with a mixture of bitterness and overwhelming pride. "Hers." Tristan smiled at me. "And you're going to let her go?" I chuckled. "I don't have a choice."
