9.Familiar dreams

Damien's POV Everything is in a daze as I open my eyes. Everything is this greyish blur. My eyes started to focus and I started to make everything out properly. It's a basement of some sort. I feel my body shivering, I'm cold and wet... What the hell happened? How come I am here? Where's Red? I scanned the room, every inch of it. There's a stone staircase at the other end of the room with a door that's hidden behind some stone wall. There are no windows at all. The room smelled of old blood and mold. There are chain links fastened to the wall. Then I started feeling it. The stinging sensation of silver. I look down and see I'm chained to the wall by silver shackles and chains. The door creaked loudly open, my head snapped in that direction when I heard someone walk down the stairs at a very calm pace. By the time he came into view, I couldn't help but stare at his face. His eyes were red and he reeked of alcohol. "You're awake." He smiled down at me. "Who the f**k are you?" I growled at him. He raised his fist and punched me in the face. "You should know by now to address me as Master Argent." He slammed his fist into my stomach, making me involuntarily cough. How long have I been chained up to not even be able to move? I thought Red said he was an old man with a cane. This guy looks like he's about five years older than myself. He continued to beat me until I felt like all the air had been knocked out of my lungs. He pulled out a knife and put it to my throat. "Come on, you filthy mutt. Call me your master." I growled out at him. He smiled before he stabbed me in the stomach with his knife. My eyes shot open as I sat up, panting. I looked around, I was in my room. "Damien, what's wrong?" Red said as she sat up and started yawning. What the hell was that? Was that all just a dream? "I'm sorry. It was just a nightmare." I said as I kissed her head. She's safe and so is my pack. "Nightmare? What was it about?" She asked as she pulled me down into her arms. I explained to her everything that had happened. Her heart increased as I spoke. "Red?" I looked up at her as she glared at the wall. She gave her head a gentle shake before she looked down at me. "That sounds terrible." She kissed my forehead before leaning her head against mine. "Don't you worry. I'll make sure that never happens." I hugged her and listened to her rapid heartbeat. Why is her heart beating so fast? Red's POV After Damien told me about his dream, I couldn't help but feel like I'd experienced something similar before. But for the life of me, I can't f*****g remember. Damien doesn't take long falling asleep in my arms. But I can't. I need to remember why it seems familiar. On the following morning, Damien yawned before he pulled me in closer as he snuggled down on my chest. But I couldn't care what he does. I'm trying to remember, but it's like grasping for something that's just out of f*****g reach. "Good morning beautiful." He said while kissing my chest. "Morning." I replied back to him and played with his hair. "How did you sleep?" I asked him, knowing very well he slept like a log. "I slept perfectly as soon as I was in your arms." He lifted himself up and kissed my cheek before he towered over me. His eyes scanned my face. "Did you not sleep? Are you feeling okay?" He continued his assault of questions. "I wasn't tired, so I stayed awake." I said to him, trying to push him away. "Lillibeth." He placed his hand on my forehead before he moved it to my cheek. "What's wrong?" His eyes stared down at me. I slipped out from under him and walked up to the window. "That dream you had sounded so familiar," I said as I stared out into the forest. "I feel like I know it but I can't remember it." Damien sat up in bed. "I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue." I said while folding my arms against my chest. "Lillibeth." Damien walked up to me and snaked his arms around my waist while his head rested on my shoulder. "Argent, did he ever hurt you?" He said lowly. Argent. He's someone I hoped never to come across again in my lifetime. I would prefer to see Blue a thousand times than to see him. "Yes." I breathed out. He immediately tensed up. "How do you know him?" He practically growled out. Any louder and I'm sure the windows would be rattling. "He was the one who trained me...." I said as low as I could. I couldn't muster the strength to admit that he was my teacher. "Trained you for what?" He grabbed my arms and turned me round to face him. I stared up at him shaking at the sudden movement. "Damien. He trained me to be the killer that I am." I said to him. His eyes flickered open like he had just woken up. "He trained Blue and many others as well. That is what he does." Damien released my arms and took a couple of steps back. He turned pale as he stared at me. "He trained you... Does that mean he killed your parents?" My eyes widened before I turned and stared at the floor. "I can't remember." I clenched my fists. I turned away and stared down at the forest floor. "You can't remember?" He asked confusedly. I clutched my fists before heading to the bathroom. Yes. I can't remember. Every time I try to think back about it, it pisses me off. I remember what my parents looked like, some random things I assume heard when I was growing up. I remember seeing my parents die, but that's it. Not who did it or even how I and Blue got to Argent. Hell, I don't even remember Blue's actual name. "Lillibeth?" Damien called out my name from the door. I ignore him. What am I supposed to say? Yes, I vividly remember killing over two hundred people. But how I got to Argent and how my parents died, I have no clue. "He trained you to kill. Is that how you're going to get close to him? Because he won't suspect you of betrayal?" I gave my head a little nod as I started to wash up. "He hurt you before, what will stop him from hurting you again?" Damien growled out. I glared back at him. Is he suggesting I'm a weakling? "Firstly, once the training is finished, he stops it. He goes on to the next. Secondly, I'll skin any and everyone alive that dares to piss me off." I practically growled out the last part. "When are you going to leave?" Damien sighed as he leaned against the door frame. "Trying to get rid of me already?" I eyed him as I brushed my teeth. "That's not what I meant and you know it." he said to me. I couldn't help but let out a very small chuckle. 'As soon as I'm healed up.' I say through the mindlink. 'So you're stuck with me for a week or so.' I glance over at Damien as he smiled widely at me. "You're getting very good at using our mindlink." He said as he made his way to me. 'Did you expect me to struggle?' I asked as I continued to brush my teeth. "Maybe a little." he chuckled down at me. "I have a week to spend with you before I go through some of the toughest periods of time in my life. So, as long as you are here, I want you to practice using our mindlink. I want it to be like second nature. A lifeline." He trailed off as he held my face in his hands. I looked confused up at him as he had pulled my hand away from the toothbrush, leaving the toothbrush sitting inside my mouth. 'Do you mind?' I said to him. "I didn't quite hear that. Can you repeat that?" He chuckled down at me. 'Damien, will you let me finish brushing my teeth?' He leaned in and kissed my forehead. He released my face and I spat out the toothpaste. Damien walked out with me as we started changing. 'Come here, beautiful.' He said as he scooped me up in his arms. He slammed his lips against mine. I closed my eyes as he began to deepen the kiss. He started nibbling and biting my lower lip, begging for entrance. I relaxed in his arms as I opened my mouth and allowed him to enter. 'Damien...' I moaned through the link. 'Yes my love?' He replied as his tongue explores my mouth. 'f**k me.' I said to him. I put my fingers through his hair and gave it a little tug. 'No can do, honey.' He started to chuckle before he placed me down. 'Why not?!' I shouted at him through the link. 'You're injured.' He kissed my head before he turned and walked out of the room. 'Damien Blackheart. Come finish what you started!' I stomped my feet on the ground as he started to chuckle out loud.
