"Alright then just Crius, the laws of the council state that we have every right to take the rogue back with us." His eyes darken in response. "Don't dictate the laws to me Huntress, I was there when it was written. These are MY lands, YOU are the trespasser here, and THAT rogue falls under my domain. MY word is absolute here, NOT the council."
Seeing how irritated Crius became she decided to drop the formalities. "I have complied with your demands, even let you disarm me, now will you allow us to transport the rogue back to the council to be interrogated? Or does this have to get ugly?"
Leaning back into his chair Crius gives her an inquisitive look. "What is your name Huntress?" Auryon steps back confused by the sudden interest. "What does it matter original?" Her words laced with disdain. "Should I compel it out of you? Hmmm Huntress?"
She scoffed at that, original or not she will not be intimidated. "I would like to see you try Vampire."
Before she was done speaking Crius was already behind her. His mouth dangerously close to her neck. Raising his lips to her ear he whispered "is that an invitation?"
A chill ran down her neck. A feeling of something unfamiliar engulfed her. She needed to stay focused.
How did he get here without her noticing? Hunters were usually able to track a vampires movement due to air displacement, but with him there was nothing. As if hearing her thoughts he responded with "Teleportation, something only an original can do."
Putting aside her shock she flips him over her shoulder, slamming Crius into the ground. Leaving the quill she took from his desk mere millimeters from his eye. He looked up at her unfazed "You know that won't kill me." Kneeling just above his head, she lowers herself to him. "Piercing your brain will immobilize you long enough for me to dispatch your limbs from your body."
He gazed at her intently "Do what you will, or at least attempt to but first......your name." Rolling her eyes Crius was testing her patience. "If you were in fact there when the laws were written, then you would know that I can not disclose that information to you, or anyone outside the Hunters Association. That rule is there for our security and those of our families." Sighing she moves the plume away from him.
Instinctively Crius raises his hand to her cheek. "I would never hurt you." Before she could react Elijah breaks down the door immediately pulling her away from Crius.
