The Huntress

Chapter 5

Putting her behind him, she did not need to see Elijahs face to know that he was angry. Through their abilities as hunters she can feel the bloodlust, he wants to kill the original.

"YOU will NOT touch her. Leech." His breathing abnormally rapid and voice imposing almost foreign. Auryon had never seen Elijah this way.

When they were younger she recalled him having some temperamental issues. Once he entered into the academy he managed to get it under control or so she believed. As hunters it was imperative that they keep a cool head because you never know what kind of mess you will get into.

Elijah was by all accounts unusual for a hunter. Always the hot head, hunters by nature were created to be more even tempered. Instead of being diplomatic he always chose to use humor to deflect but right now he's neither.

The only thing she can feel off of him is the urge to kill. This isn't who he is, she needed to de-escalate the situation before things get worse.

Crius teleports in front of Elijah, examining him. "And what exactly are you to her little mutt?" Elijah takes a step forward "What did you just call me?" Auryon rushes in between them. "That's enough."

Looking at Crius "He is a Hunter and my second in command. You will show him due respect." Crius starts to laugh. "My sincerest apologies to your little half a mutt."

Elijahs eyes flash crimson red, letting her know he is at his limit with Crius. Attempting to break him out of his trance she speaks to him telepathically, urging Elijah to gain back control of himself.

Auryon turns back to Crius who seems to have made his way back to his chair. She walked up to his desk, determined to get answers. "Why do you call him half a mutt? He's a Hunter not a Wolf and half breeds are impossible."

As Crius leans forward his eyes darken, making his unwavering gaze even more intense. "Impossible. Are you so sure about that? Second in command....then you must be Auryon daughter of Malachi and the future Queen of the Hunters. Which makes him Elijah son of Cyrene the former betrayed Queen of the Hunters."
