Once Lucy was safe back home, she decided to take a slow stroll through the garden. Although it was late, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to sleep at all, so she didn’t even bother trying. She walked aimlessly for a while, and then she took a rest on one of the stone benches.
When Lucy heard the sound of Steven’s Ferrari, she looked in the direction of the sound with disappointment. She had hoped that William would have returned home by now. Wanting to be alone, she didn’t say hello or announce her presence to them in any way.
As they approached the house, she could hear Steven laughing and chatting with his sister. She heard Jenny’s words load and clear when she said, "Stop it. We are still at the door. Don’t rush!"
Steven: "Fine. Let's go back to your room."
