Mrs. Soren looked at her, confused.
Celeste frowned slightly, mulling it over.
"Don't you think it's a bit suspicious? A guy was supposed to get engaged to a woman, then suddenly something tragic happens to her entire family right before the engagement. Not long after, he marries someone else and just so happens to inherit his ex-fiancée's family fortune. Doesn't that feel... off?"
Mrs. Soren's expression froze for a moment, her eyes darkening.
"Mrs. Soren," Celeste called her back softly.
"Yeah?"
"I mean, I was just saying. Don't think too much about it. What I meant was, the model on the cover of that magazine you showed me earlier... She just doesn't fit. The whole vibe is just wrong."
