Regrets

(flashback) Felix's point of view:

My so-called friends started talking about this girl whom I was caught staring at. They were never my true friends now that I think about it. Lucas warned me about this. I just thought that he was being overly cautious. As I thought about it, it just makes me think how much of a fool I am. I heard somewhere that growing up means realising a lot of your friends aren’t really your friends. Well, I guess I did grow up after all. They started bitching about girls and this and that. And this girl came up into this talk. “That girl really thinks so highly of herself. I mean that she is good at academics and looks that doesn’t give her the fact that she can right out reject me without even taking a glance bla bla bla…..” this particular guy started talking about how she rejected her. And then some other guy said I never saw her looking at other guys. I don’t think she would even look at Felix though”. Alright, now they got my attention. “Yeah, i think so too.” These guys really get on my nerves. “No way. Even if she is the ice queen herself she has to fall for me. No girl has ever rejected me” . “ I don't think so Felix. She is the most emotionless human I have ever seen. I don’t think she would even look at you”. ``Just you wait. within the end of the year, if i don’t make her fall for me, i would change my name.” alright here is the deal. If you lose, you should do whatever we tell you to do,”. “alright deal”. There I did it. I have officially dug my own grave. Now that I look at it, why didn’t I even think about how she would feel if she knew this. Was I that hell of a narcissistic jerk? I wanted to win the bet so badly that I didn't even listen to Lucas's advice. He kept on saying that you shouldn’t have accepted it. But my stubborn a*s never listened to it. I believed it was possible to make her love me very easily. I never thought that she would be in the same class as me. “Just made my work much easier” I thought. I didn’t leave a moment to get closer to her. I was waiting for the next day.
