Prologue
“You’re a vampire?!” I asked him, my tone rising and looked at him like might’ve gone crazy.
“I always love the way you act, Ms. Gonzales.” He said slowly walking towards me.
“You can be an actress if you weren’t an agent.” He smirked shaking his head.
“How’d you know?”
He knows. He knows I’m an agent.
Then why didn’t he killed me already? I mean, he knows I’m here at his side, clinging to him because I was finding the holy time to put a steak to his not beating heart. Why?
He leaned down, cupping my left cheek. I can feel his minty breath that is hitting my lips.
“You mean, how did I know that you’re an agent or how did I know what department you came from?” he said now looking into my lips.
My eyes grew wide and my jaw hit the floor. He knows. I guess he knows everything and I think this is the time to drop my precious act.
I smirked and leaned towards him that are nose are barely touching. I gave him my signature look to try and intimidate him.
But his smirked grew wider, he’s mocking me, trying to get on my nerves, showing me how good he is. And I hate to admit it but he’s right.
Vampires are always right. The Vampire King is always right. But I’m a human and I guess humans make bad decision sometimes because I did one right now.
I kissed him.
