Wolf Girl

chapter 5

The human opened the door and walked in. He had some strange tools with him and Valor had started whimpering when he saw it. We watched quietly as the man had gone to one of the other wolf’s cage forcing him to come out and he put him up on a table. All the while the wolf was whimpering for help. My eyes grew wide when I saw the human use one of the tools he had with him and cuz open the wolf’s leg. Without thinking much I growled really menacingly, scaring both Java and the human who was harming one of my family. Java looked over at me and a look of fear in his eyes as he saw me changing, my eyes were glowing the bright blue color and my nails grew out sharpening like claws.

I jumped up over the cages and slammed into the human, he screamed out in pain as I threw his body into the wall. I held him there by his shirt pinning him against the wall growling in his face. Java was just looking at me with the same fear as the human I had pinned but I will worry about that later because right now this poor excuse of humanity was my target. I raised my arm up getting ready to claw at the human’s face when Demon jumped on me knocking me and the human apart. He growled out that it is against our laws to kill them.

“Why! Why is it breaking our law to kill someone who has obviously been killing us this whole time!” I screamed out at Demon. I looked over at the male human who is now laying there on the floor unconscious, Java walked over to where we were and whispered we should get out of here. Pulling me back to the reality of the things going on I nodded to him and told the wolves to follow Java as I made sure everyone was able to get out. I took one last look around and found another door, opening it. I had bile come out of my throat as I looked at all the dead wolf bodies laying in piles. We had safely gotten the wolves out of that horrid house without running into another human. Wolf God only knew what had happened there, I am just so happy to get the ones out that were still alive. I don’t think Demon knew about the dead bodys because he was so adamant on letting that human live, if he would have seen what I did in that room he would have gone ballistic, resulting in him going on a killing rampage.

We made it to Java’s house and had the wolves go into the basement to hide from Ashley. Java and I made a run to the store to get some meat to feed the wolves. We ran into Ashley at the store and she asked what we were up to. Knowing the situation I knew I would have to explain everything to them, I now knew I could trust them. I mean Java even helped me rescue my family and is even hiding us for the time being so we don’t get caught in town trying to get to the mountain. Ashley paid for the meat and all three of us headed back to their house. Once inside I had asked them to sit on the couch and I would explain everything to them.

I had told them about my aunt abandoning me and how I grew up with the wolves on the mountain and about how momma and pap saved me from a severe fever. After I was done I went to the basement door and opened it.

“Demon.” was all I said when my brother came walking into view.

I led him where Java and Ashley were sitting.

“This is my brother Demon, the reason for me being in town was to find a pup that came up missing from our pack.”

I walked back to the basement and growled for the pup I named Valor.

“This is Valor, he is the pup that was taken. I didn’t know that they had taken others as well, I could tell from their scent that some of them are from a different pack than mine. Only my brother Demon and Valor are from my pack.” As soon as I was done talking Demon and Valor circled around me rubbing on my legs showing me their affection and how they appreciate me saving them. I crouched down to their level and started rubbing my head on them, Java and Ashley just sat there and stared at our exchange.

I picked up Valor and carried him over to Java, I motioned for him to pet Valor that it was okay to do it. I placed Valor in Java’s arms after he got comfortable with the pup.

As agreed upon after a couple days of staying in the house to hide it has come time for us to leave. The wolves were getting agitated being kept up even though they are now free. We are heading to take the wolves back to the forest. Java had kept asking me to stay with him and Ashley agreed that it was okay for me to stay with them but I really just wanted to head home and see my papa, other brothers and my sister Jade. I miss them so much from the time I had been away from the mountain.

“We can always visit each other but my place is to be with my family just as you two are family and live together.” I said calmly as we walked to the edge of the mountain. I watched as the wolves from other packs took off running up the mountain smiling at them being happy and jumping around and snapping at each other in a playful kind of way.

“If you need anything just blow into this whistle and I will hear you.” I said as I handed Java a handmade whistle that is made out of a piece of rosewood, Java nodded as he took the whistle.

Demon and Valor walked with me as I waved goodbye to Java and Ashley. Once we had gotten into the tree line we started to run up the hillside in a hurry to get home to papa and the others.

Demon and I howled loud enough that papa would hear us and we ran faster when we heard papa howling back to us.

We met papa and the others at the stream as we were running towards each other to close the distance that was between us. Valor saw his mommy and ran up to her, I watched as they rubbed up against each other. I looked over at papa who was doing the same thing to Demon, once he was done he started to walk towards me. I immediately got down on all fours to show respect to papa and he started to lick my face and rub his head on me showing me that he has indeed missed me as well. I was so happy I started laughing wholeheartedly.

It has been a week since everything has happened, Java and I meet up once a day and I take him around for tours in the mountains showing him different areas and we play with the wolf pups. Java would teach me things about the human world and how it is divided and each nation has a king and queen that makes the rules and governs the human world, he said it was like papa and him being the Alpha of our pack. But little did Java know that papa isn’t just the Alpha of our pack but the king of all wolves. Today is like every other Java blew his whistle to signal that he is in the forest. I took off running towards him but it was a bit different today. He seemed like he was in a hurry because he kept blowing the whistle, making me run faster. I saw him standing just below the huge rock, but he was not alone this time. He had a woman and a man with him, the woman was a little bit short and she looked as though she had been crying alot, as where the man stood there tall and he seemed to be unfazed about the woman that was tearing up.
