Class ended and everyone started gathering their things. Mara stood up and stretched. "That was brutal," she said. "I have no idea what half of those answers were."
"You did fine," I said.
Kael and Liam were already heading for the door, still arguing about something. Calder was the last one to leave. He moved slowly, like he was thinking about something.
When everyone else had filed out, I stood up. "I need to talk to all of you," I said to Mara.
She looked surprised. "Right now?"
"Later," I said. "Tonight. Somewhere off campus. Somewhere we can talk without being heard."
"Okay," Mara said. She was watching my face carefully. "Is everything okay?"
"No," I said honestly. "But I need to tell all of you what is happening. All of you together, no more secrets."
