Chapter 5

Three shops down and so many more to look in but we decided to go get some lunch. I already bought some dresses, jeans, t-shirts and a new jacket. Pretty sure i have enough to so me for a while and i was beginning to hate shopping. The third shop have more or less the same in the first two.

Walking along to find the food court located at the other side of the mall i noticed and few people walking towards us. I hadn't met anyone in this town yet but i knew right away they were wolves. They were looking at us funny wondering who we were. But as quick as they looked at us they turned their heads with a snap.

It was pretty fast and i wondered what made them do that. As they walk past i stopped and followed them with my eyes watching were they were going. They had picked up there pace and were gone within seconds. Without looking were i was going i had been walking backwards and just as i was about to turn around to walk next to mum again. I banged into someone so hard that i bounced of their chest and almost hit the floor. I say almost because they grabbed my arm and helped steadied me up.

"Sorry" I mumbled feeling so embarrassed. This seems to happen alot to me putting myself in such an embarrassing situation.

"It's ok, I'm Layton by the way" He was still holding my arm but i soon snatch it back.

"Ah hey i'm Kacey" Dusting myself off.

"Nice to meet you, i see your new in town am i correct?"

"Yeah we just move here, May i ask but are you an alpha?" I know that must sound rather stupid but he has alpha power raiding of him and i already know my mate is the alpha of the pack here unless. They are brothers which would mean he would have alpha blood in him to but the power was raiding really high on him like he was an alpha not just a bloodline.

"Yeah, I'm alpha of moon dusk pack west of here. I suppose your in alpha Ollie's pack? since your not from my side of town and aren't a rogue?" Holy crap if he's an alpha and i can tell he's un-mated Ollie was not going to like me talking to him. But he seems like a nice guy and i believe we could be good friends. There was something about him that made me keep eye contact with him as he spoke. But i couldn't work out what the heck it was.

"Yeah, well not really. You see my brother is in his pack but we only just moved here so technically we'd have to ask if it was ok to join if my parents decide to actually stay. We move around a lot" Mumblying away to myself. Eyes still contacted as a smile appeared on his face it was contagious. Shaking my head out of my thoughts i caught wind of a musky scent  it was growing stronger like the person was coming closer to me.

I sucked in a huge whiff of air with my nose high up. I think Layton picked this up as well just then I felt this hand on my shoulder. It wasn't my mum as she disappeared into another shop just seconds ago i caught her from the corner of my eye.

Nope this was the hand of my mate. They one person i dreamt of last night when i finally slept. The one who left this fiery tingle on my cheek making me want more but on my lips.

My chest raised sticking out more as i felt his abs push into my arched back. Those warms tingles where his hand sat on my shoulder only made me want his arms to wrap around me more. I closed my eyes taking in the blissness feeling.

He let out a low growl so the humans could not hear but us wolves could just. I knew this was a warning growl or his protective-ness. But there was nothing to fear at all. I'm an understandable person so i just place my hand on top of his to calm him down.

"Hey" I said turning my head sideways to look up at him, i had a soft smile on my face with just being so close to him.

"Hey" He grunted back.

"It was nice to meet you Layton" I said about to shake his hand but Ollie pulled it back.

"Was nice to meet you to Kacey, See you around" he waved off.

Well that wasn't half awkward was it. My mate catches me talking to the other alpha in town lovely.

I let myself turn every so slowly under Ollie's gaze and as i did so i noticed my mum sticking her head of to see if i was done talking. I nobbed and Ollie's eyes followed.

"Don't worry, i bumped into him by accident i sort of walk backwards into him" I said shyly looking anywhere but his eyes.

" I see, No one should ever touch you but me, i shall let that slide. Come on your mum is waiting"  He moved his hand from my shoulder to my waist guiding me over to where my mum was standing. My feet started to kick in walking themselves. His hand slide down my back as i got closer to my mum. 

I guess he's invited himself to join us for lunch. I didn't even ask him if he would like to have lunch with us but here we are walking all three of us to the food court. I was having hard time trying to walk as he kept pulling me closer into him. What is it with these men who think we wanna be this close to them. I kept trying to give us a little room so i could walk normal but failed terrible. I ended up face flat on the ground.

I huffed and stood up pushing his hand away when he tried to help me.

"I was trying to give myself space to walk but you kept pulling me in closer and closer" frowning at him and walking over to a table.

"Sorry" He whispered into my ear leaning down and then walked over to a KFC.

I know he didn't mean it and i know i should have just went with it. But i knew at any second i would have falling over anyways. I actually twisted my ankle but i never told him that and walked as normal as i could until i could sit down. So glad he hadn't noticed.

Mum came to join me at the table with some food for us both. She had walked ahead of us a little and bought us both a six inch sub's. I loved chicken tikka with loads of lettuce some cucumber, mayo and melted cheese 'mmmm'.

Ollie came back to join us after getting his order and oh boy could he eat. I've never been to KFC before but from what i could see there was loads of chicken and right away i knew he was a meat eater alright.

" So would you like to meet the rest of the pack then or should i say our pack now" he nudge me. 

Oh that's right, because I'm his mate i'm also the Luna of his pack once the deed is done. Dam i didn't see that coming but on a good note its means for me no more traveling around with mum and dad. I could actually make friends without feeling guilty knowing i'd been leaving in few months time.

"Yeah that would be lovely" I didn't answer but my mum did.

I kept my mouth open with nothing coming out. I guess mum bet me to it then. I look up to his face since he was taller than me and smiled. I'd really liked the idea of meeting everyone else. Seems like great idea.

"We could have a bonfire night?" I grinned thinking of how we could have a romantic date as well.

"We could. How about this Saturday?"

'Perfect way to end my first week of school. With a nice chilled weekend with my mate. Does this mean i'm now his girlfriend or do i still need to wait for him to ask me. Is it too soon to think this, yeah it defo to soon'. I was mumbling away to myself not that they could tell.

I looked at mum and she was giving me this funny look. 's**t' I made a screwed up face and i knew she heard everything i just said.

Ollie seen this look and was looking between us both wondering what on earth it going on.

'Mum don't say anything ppplease' I begged through mind link only it was to late.

"She's wondering if she calls you her boyfriend now or wait until you asked her out" She had this huge smile on her face when she said this.

I looked down face palming myself i couldn't face looking to see his face. But then i heard laughing and i could just peek at him. Why was that funny. Was i over reacting, i don't know. But i felt like crap now so i jumped over the seat and headed for my own car. Leaving mum behind, she has her own van anyways.

I made my way outside the mall only to be stopped by Ollie grabbing my arm.

"Hey wait" I turned around to hear what he had to say "If you wanna be my girlfriend you could have just asked me you know" Yeah like i was going to set myself up for that.

"I'm a girl, we don't do things like that or at least not the girls i know" I was about to walk away but he still had hold of my arm.

"Look before we even go down this road i think it's best you get to know me first alright. Just you will hear loads of things about me from other people not that i care mind you but just incase it hurts you what they may say and that's the last thing i would want" I wondered what could he was meaning by this but he could tell me on our date on Saturday.

"Ollie, On Saturday make it a date and you can tell me all then"

"We can but i'm in school with you also and rumours will fly around there as well. Actually i have to but ill see" He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and ran off to his car.

'I wonder what the was about' I grunted dragging myself and my bag's back to my own beauty

'We shall find out soon enough' My wolf confirm.
