Evaleen closed her eyes and stood beside the pool. She started to remember all the times she went for a swim as a kid, the sea in Japan and the stream in Fall River. Carson started to surface in her memories, she flinched back. She wanted him here to see her transition; she shook her head and tried to focus. Her blood started to flow rapidly and she started to hear water sprouting from various sources. She kept on chanting, “Ave Neptunum” in her mind. Evaleen opened her eyes and saw a fluorescent light covering the pool with the sounds of a stream. The water was filling, for a second Evaleen got distracted and the light dimmed but she got her focus back. Camilla’s eyes widened at the scene playing in front of her. The only word that could escape her was,
“Marvelous!!”
