Chapter 3

Feliz. When the clock went past 7pm, Daliah and I decided to go home already. We've been wandering all over the mall for the past few hours! The ‘shoes’ that I supposed to buy became ‘make-ups’ instead. Can't help it, though, since Daliah joined me in shopping as well. Lucky me since she saw a new release of her favorite product. “I can't believe, you made me spent bucks today! I should be more careful next time!” she rant to me. I laughed at her banter. “Well, I shouldn't be just the one spending, right?” “Whatever!” and then she rolled her eyes. “Wait, let me buy cookies first for Sheena. She's been craving one. That little girl! All she eat are sweets.” Sheena is her younger sister who is 10 years old. She's so cute! and I am so sure that she'll grow up really pretty like Daliah. “Sure! I'll buy one too for Clara.” Clara is my personal maid. She's been there for me ever since I'm little, maybe even when I was born, she was assigned to take care of me. So, basically, she's like a parent to me! I treat her as my mom because she takes care of me like I am her own daughter. If I were to be honest, I love her more than my own mother. We went to her favorite shop and bought cookies. Daliah and I has been doing this—our friend date, at least once a week, and I really love hanging out with her since Daliah is comfortable to be with. She'll make you feel that it's okay to be yourself, to do whatever you want to do, and she'll be there to support you—with limitations, of course. That's why, I love her! After buying the cookies, we finally decided to leave. I started tapping my phone to text my driver to fetch us in the entrance when Daliah suddenly tap me in my shoulders. When I looked at her, she was pouting somewhere—so I immediately look at where she's pouting at. There, I saw a tall man on a white polo shirt, with a girl beside him. “That guy would fit your type—tall, dark, and handsome,” she mentioned, giggling. “Unfortunately, it looks like he has a girl.” I look at the man's direction again that is now entering a bookstore. I squint my eyes when I realize that his face is really familiar. I grabbed Daliah’s hands and went to the bookstore. That face is really familiar to me! “Oho, girl, let's not resort to home wrecking shall we? We're not that low,” Daliah spoke and I rolled my eyes on her. “I'll just check his face again, I think I know him.” I am not entirely sure but I think that's him! So I need to see his face once more. When we entered the book store, I went to the nearest spot where he can't see me. There, I look at his face—a really prominent jaw, tan skin, green eyes, tall nose, and his black hair… My heart skipped a beat when I realized something. Oh my god! Is that really…? I flinched when his gaze went our way and for a few seconds, he looked shocked to see me. Well, I am too! My chest hammered when he started walking our way. Why is he walking this way? What should I do? “Oh gosh, girl, did you figured out already who he is? He's coming this way,” Daliah mentioned the obvious. I don't either! My mind is blank, and I am panicking as you are! He stopped walking when he was finally in front of me. He's taller now, and he looks…more mature. He's more handsome. His gaze pierce through me like he is looking for something in my face, like he is catching something. I can't hold a staring contest with him so I stared at his nose. “Feliz… it is nice seeing you here,” he said then smiled. That low voice that I haven't heard for so long! It made my heart ponder like two times more—if it's possible. Damn. My heart is overreacting! I hate this feeling. I looked at his eyes again only to go back on his nose. I can't really stare! His gaze is piercing. I smiled a little and then look down at the floor. “It’s nice seeing you here too…Pyro.”
