GIVE LOVE A CHANCE EP2

When you're watching or playing a football match, you only got one or two things to worry about and that's whether your team is gonna win or lose and sometimes maybe draw. The same thing applies to when you're expecting a reply from your parents about something you really want...or when you write an important exams and you don't know if you're gonna fail or pass but you'd hoped to pass anyways. That's easy, but lots of factors comes into play when you're waiting to get a reply from the girl of your dreams, you don't know whether she's gonna say yes, no, maybe or i don't want your other girlfriends to kill me; which doesn't really make sense because if i have other girlfriends that i want, why would i want her? (Sighs) Relationship is indeed one of the most difficult conundrums of all times.

Andre couldn't wait any longer for her to tell him what he has been longing to hear. Anita then smiled and said "IF I TELL YOU WHAT WE DISCUSSED...'IF' AS IN IF I DO TELL YOU ANYTHING AT ALL; YOU KNOW IT WILL BE BAD FOR OUR FRIENDSHIP AND ITS AGAINST GIRL CODE RIGHT?"

Andre gaped at her with his mouth widely open.

That's it?

This is how he's gonna lose the girl of his dreams?

Because of a stupid girl code?

"SINCE WHEN DO WE LET THINGS LIKE 'GIRLS CODE' STOP PEOPLE LIKE US FROM GETTING WHAT WE WANT?" He asked Anita.

"C'MON SIS, CAN'T YOU DO THIS SMALL THING FOR YOUR FAVORITE BROTHER?" She didn't budge so he promised to do anything she wanted and Anita smiled mischievously. Andre groaned loudly before raising his brows as if to say (will you tell me or not?).

"WELL...SHE ONLY ASKED ME IF YOU WERE IN A RELATIONSHIP"That's not bad, be could definitely convince her that he is not in a relationship with anyone.

"SHE ALSO WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU WERE LIKE WITH YOUR OTHER GIRLFRIENDS, AND OF YOUR BEING HONEST WITH HER" Andre quickly interrupted her while she was still recounting her own reply to her friend saying...

"WHAT ELSE DID YOU SAY TO HER, HOPE YOUR ANSWER HAVE NOT RUINED THIS ROMANTIC ADVENTURE BEFORE IT EVEN BEGAN?"Anita made a fake gasp to show her displeasure before saying "CALM YOUR HORSES YOUNG MAN, I TOLD HER THE TRUTH"

Andre couldn't help but ask "WHICH WAS?"

Anita replied saying "I TOLD HER THAT, YOU WEREN'T IN ANY RELATIONSHIP AT THE MOMENT."

Andre was already smiling at this point as Anita continued "I ALSO TOLD HER THAT YOU WEREN'T DATING, BECAUSE NO GIRL WANTS TO DATE AN ANNOYING NIGGA LIKE YOU"

Andre's smile faded immediately as he glareed at Anita.

"ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME OR WHAT?" He couldn't believe what his eyes were hearing.

"WHY WOULD YOU SAY SUCH A THING?"Anita bursted into laughter saying

"CALM DOWN BRO, I'M ONLY JOKING. I TOLD HER THAT YOU WEREN'T IN ANY RELATIONSHIP BUT I DIDN'T GIVE HER AN ANSWER FOR WHAT YOU WANT FROM HER BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A SINGLE CLUE" His rushed through one breath when she noticed how furious her he'd gotten.

Andre's glare quickly morphed into a when she finished talking.

"ALRIGHT, COOL"He said to her.

Andre and Stacey gradually became very found of each other despite the fact that they have never seen each other before

Some times when Andre played video game with his cousin (MAJESTY) his chat with her interrupts the flow of the game because this normally happened when Andre was winning and his cousin was trying to make a comback, altogether Majesty never complained Andre knew he wasn't happy about it either.

One day he had a long chat with Stacey, but this time the chat was different because he had already started to develope feelings for her. He tried to hold it because it wasn't proper to actually tell a girl you have never seen in person before that you have feelings for her. She might actually doubt your feelings.

The chatting became intense because Andre and Stacey had gotten to the point where they started calling each other pet names like "BABE" "AMOR" etc.

Andre then said to himself "IT'S BEST I TELL HER NOW, I DON'T MIND IF SHE DOESN'T FEEL THE SAME WAY" he said this with all atom of boldness in him as he sent a message to her saying "I WANT TO TELL YOU SOMETHING BABE, AND IT'S ACTUALLY IMPORTANT"

Stacey replied saying "OKAY NOW I AM SCARED, I HOPE EVERYTHING IS FINE?"Andre replied saying "YEAH, I JUST WANTED TO SAY I LOVE YOU STACEY; DESPITE THE FACT WE HAVEN'T MET IN PERSON BUT THIS FEELINGS IN ME CAN'T BE TAMED ANYMORE"

Stacey saw this message and was quiet for a while.

Andre then sent another message saying "ARE YOU THERE? I AM SORRY IF WHAT I SAID WRONGED YOU"

Stacey then replied saying "I AM NOT SURE ABOUT HOW I'M FEELING RIGHT NOW BUT ALL I CAN SAY NOW IS THAT LETS JUST KEEP THE VIBE GOING AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT."

Andre sunk his face into his pillow yelling at himself saying"WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COME CLEAN ABOUT HOW YOU FELT? WHO KNOWS, MAYBE SHE ACTUALLY HAS A BOYFRIEND OR SHE JUST SEE'S YOU AS A FRIEND OR A BROTHER ANDRE, WHY MUST YOU FEEL THINGS?"

It was at this point Anita walked into the room cracking her silly jokes saying"YOU HAVE CHANGED O, YOUR ALWAYS ON YOUR PHONE THESE DAYS. HMMMM...IT WILL SHOCK YOU EHN! MAYBE SHE WILL BE SEEING YOU AS A BROTHER SINCE BOTH OF US ARE MORE LIKE SISTERS"

Andre looked at Anita and didn't say a word he, then decided to take a stroll to calm his head. He was still strolling when he got a message from Stacey saying"I KNOW YOU ARE NOT PLEASED WITH WHAT I SAID BUT I WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND WHERE I'M COMING FROM..."

Andre quickly replied saying"NAH, IT'S COOL. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN SUCH A PRETTY GIRL LIKE YOU WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP"

Stacey replied immediately saying "EXCUSE YOU, I NEVER SAID I WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP I JUST DON'T WANT TO RUSH THINGS. BESIDES, YOU WILL BE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL LIKE IN TWO DAYS TIME, HO W AM I SURE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANOTHER GIRL BACK IN SCHOOL?"

Andre then replied saying "I CAN'T BELIEVE A GIRL LIKE YOU IS SINGLE, AND C'MON, O F I HAD A GIRL BACK IN SCHOOL I WOULDN'T HAVE LET MYSELF DEVELOPED FEELINGS FOR YOU NOW, WOULD I?"

Anita replied saying "I BROKE UP WITH MY EX BECAUSE HE WAS CHEATING ON ME, I WILL TRY AND BELIEVE YOU FOR NOW" She said this and attached a laughing emoji to the message.

Andre smiled and continued strolling as she told him more about her previous relationship.

The day for Andre to return back to school finally came, he spoke with Stacey that morning and she even said a prayer of journey mercies for him. Throughout the journey, they had been chatting and as soon as he arrived at school, she made him make a promise to her.

"PROMISE ME THAT YOU WON'T CHANGE NOW THAT YOU'VE GONE BACK TO SCHOOL,YOU WILL MEET MANY GIRLS WHO ARE WAY PRETTIER THAN ME AND GRADUALLY YOU WILL FORGET ME. SO PROMISE ME THAT NOTHING WILL CHANGE BETWEEN US, THE WAY WE CHAT AND ALL."

Andre smiled before saying "TO PROVE TO YOU THAT YOU ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL I HAVE SEEN, I HAVE ABOUT A DOZEN OF YOUR PICTURES ON MY PHONE...SO TRUST ME WHEN I SAY I'M ALL YOURS BABE" Stacey sent a smiling emoji and said.

"OKAY, I TRUST YOU SO DON'T LET ME DOWN"

That evening Andre went out to get what he will eat because he was too tired to cook because he just finished cleaning his house. As he was strolling, he came across his friends and they chatted and laughed over some random topics.

Whenever Andre sees a girl passing by, he would say to himself "NO GIRL HERE CAN CHALLENGE MY FEELINGS FOR STACEY, NO WAY! I WON'T LET IT HAPPEN." He kept on saying this as he walked home and decided to check on his best friend Amara.

Amara was actually the only female friend in Andre's life at the moment, he saw her more as a sister. As he entered her compound, he went straight to her room and knocked.

There was no response at first so he decided to knock again but this time a young lady who Andre had never seen before opened the door. She was really calm and cute.

"HELLO, WHO ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?"Andre was instantly bewitched by her melodious voice as he wondered who the young lady was.
