The Mafia LORD

1063 Words
"Hey! Wake up!!". A hostile voice commanded, and my eyes flung open as a masculine hand dragged me up from the seat, and forcefully rip the tape off my mouth. The masculine hand carried me out of the car, and made me stand in front of a gigantic edifice that looks tastefully constructed. By now, my whole body was in pains. And I was shaking profusely for fear of what to expect next. "Where is this place? Where are you taking me?!". I queried the man that carried me out if the car. But he did not replied me, as he dragged me along the pavement to the entrance of the building, still tied up like a rogue. When we got to the main entrance to the villa, the masculine man loosened the rope. And that made it possible for me to breathe normally. Staring at the many tough looking faces surrounding me, I was scared as the escorted me into the main villa. The beauty of the villa made my eyes involuntarily went wide in shock, it felt like I had just stepped into the American's White House. I have never seen a single house so expensively furnished in my life. There were beautiful white and torquise blue cushions, with beautifully designed throw pillows. The ceiling were high rise, and the chandelier were rose red, illuminating the whole place with the light reflecting on the glassy floor. I could literally see myself on the floor. "Where am I?!". I said to no one in particular. And with a voice that was barely a whisper. "This is the LORD'S mansion". One of them replied me. Hearing a voice reply me, I was startled back into reality. I didn't knew I had asked that question aloud enough for someone to hear me. And even reply me. The LORD'S mansion? I glance across the room to all the men in black suit as they all stood lined up in a row like school students. And spotted the one that looked to me like their leader back then at my grandfather's place. Could he be the one they refers to as LORD? Could he be this rich? I began to wonder in my mind, and the icy air conditioning in the room made me cold; both in my body and in my heart. I worried for my grandpa, and wondered how he might be doing right now. I wondered how he may be taking the fact that I had been tied up, and taken away to where ever he did not know. And I didn't know too because everything in this place looked strange and out of this world to me. I was carried away deep in these thoughts when I heard the men in black suits made a sound, that sounded more like a chant. And I looked up, and saw a man walked in. "What is this thing?!". The man that just walked in asked. This thing? I looked on at him. "The old man wasn't ready with the money boss, so we brought his granddaughter along". The one that looked to me as their leader replied. And he bowed politely to the man that walked in. Boss! So this is the boss? I wondered in my mind, and started sizing him up to see how such a lanky middle aged man like him could own such a huge amount of money they accuse my grandfather of owing them. "Bring her in". The man said, after looking me up. And the men pushed me roughly and we followed the 'boss' into another room. This room was not as brightly lit as the first room I was in before. And that fact made my heart skip beats rapidly. Why this dark room? What are they going to do to me? Series of questions ran through my mind, with no one to answer them. Or a clue to me what would happen here. The room seemed large, although not as large as the former room. And I could barely see anything well enough to describe the room. Then I looked forward a bit, and I saw a man. He was wearing a long blazer, and he was backing me as he stood at the window at the far end side of the room, facing the window. The man didn't utter any word as I was pushed into the room, and his ice cold demeanor made my blood pressure spike up. I looked back, the men that pushed me in to this room had all gone out. And I was alone in the room with the strange man. My heart started pounding very fast. "Sit down". He said calmly. Without even turning to look at me. And I quickly did as he instructed reluctantly, with so much terror in my eyes. Although the strange man spoke calmly, the sound of his voice sent a wave of terror down my spine, and I became more terrified. Then there followed a grave silence. And I could count my heart beats as the sounded so loudly in the silent room. After what seemed like eternity, the strange man turned slowly, and was walking towards me. With every of his step, my poor heart felt a bang. It was horrible. Then he came standing right in front of me. And that gave me a terrible flinch. He had an intimidating look on his face that could cause a toddler to convulse. But, out of nowhere, he suddenly chinned up. And I knew immediately that this is the real boss. The LORD that owns this out of the world edifice. It was very visible, and I knew immediately that this is the man my grandfather owed money. Even though I was yet to understand what my grandfather needed such amount of money for, and what he did with it. Summoning up courage, seeing he had chinned up, I peered into his face a little closely. He looked handsome. And at the same time, he looked familiar to me. I tried to recollect where and when I must have met such a mean demeanor looking man before, but my brain seemed to be failing me. Just as I was about giving up trying to figure out where I must have met this man, it clicked. "You are the old man at the market?!".
