“Please!” Hue clasped his hands together.
"No!” Jennet shouted with heavy breathing. Her eyes widened.
She was getting angry.
Hue gasped with a stunned expression. His smiling face turned gloomy.
He, once again, was about to cry on the floor.
Jennet realised her mistake and coughed softly, “Ahem, I mean, it’s improper to enter the bathroom together. I want to take my shower alone. You can use the bathroom after me,” she spoke with a softened tone.
'What am I even talking about now?' she grumbled in her mind. She wanted to kick him out yet, she offered him to take a shower after her.
Hue tilted his head to the side and a smile formed on his handsome face. He was amazingly alluring and that made Jennet hold her breath in silence. “Okay,” he agreed cheerfully.
Jennet was relieved to hear his reply. She inhaled deeply while hiding the discomfort behind a plastic smile.
She stood up and said, “Then, can you wait outside the room? You should wait downstairs.” She gave him another wide smile, desperate to chase him out of the room.
Once again, Hue nodded without objection. He got on his feet and was about to leave the room when Jennet stopped him. “Take this,” she said and handed a blanket to him. “Wrap your body with this and make yourself comfortable. If you are hungry, take whatever you want from the fridge in the kitchen. Did you get it? In the kitchen.”
It hurt her eyes to see the shirtless man walking around leisurely because she had never seen a man’s body before. Not to mention, her heart was beating irregularly to the point she felt suffocated.
She feared the abnormality that could jeopardize her daily life.
Luckily, Hue was very obedient. He took the blanket without fussing over it and trotted away happily.
As soon as he was out of sight, Jennet locked the door. Leaning her back against the door, she smiled triumphally, “He’s gone. Ha…ha…” she laughed maniacally.
However, it wasn’t for long as her laughter died. A frown took over her laughing face as her fingers ran amok in her hair, lost in thought.
“Oh, I have to call for help!” she gasped as she remembered the crucial plan.
She searched for her phone in desperation. Suddenly, she heard loud rings from under the bed. She went under the bed and took the phone before turning off the alarm for 6 am.
Leaning against the bed, she mumbled alone, “The police station.” She dialled the number but undialed it when she started to question the possibilities.
If she called the police and they took her to the station too, won’t they keep her there for a longer time for investigation? If they did keep her there, she would be late for work. Then, she would have to explain her situation to her superior again and from then on, her colleagues would find out that somebody entered her new home.
Yes, from that single incident would come various, juicy stories as everyone would question the truth about her story. Surely, no one would believe in her because everyone was only interested to know about the man that entered her home. For sure, they would assume that he must be one of her hidden lovers. Her already worse reputation among her colleagues would get worse and her career would be at stake again because those who respected her might look down on her.
Jennet shook her head when she thought of such possibilities. She had worked for five years in the company and everyone had a bad impression of her. Not sure how it began but no one truly took her sides or defended her whenever she had trouble. Marvina was the only one, so far, who persistently defended her and got mad on her behalf.
Due to the toxicity of her colleagues, Jennet had been very careful in dealing with personal matters. As long as no third parties were involved in her problem, she could keep the trouble at bay. Meaning to say, if she crossed out the police from her issue, she could still negotiate with the trespasser to not trespass on her house again. None of the trouble would reach the ears of her toxic colleagues.
But, if the trespasser refused to oblige, that could lead to a bigger problem as well. Her safety could be in jeopardy.
Jennet groaned again when she failed to come up with a better solution. She tends to overthink the situation because of her secretive and private nature. Due to that, it was hard for her to pick the best choice to avoid unnecessary attention as she needed only the best solution.
She exhaled deeply as she glanced towards the door, before staring at the ceiling. “Well, thinking back, he does seem harmless.” She remembered that it was easy to make him spill his tears.
An easy target for a bully.
She pinched her chin with her brows knitted, “He looked much feminine than me and judging from his figure, people can mistake him for a woman.”
She hated to admit that he was both handsome and beautiful, a trait that could make people envy him once they caught a glimpse of him.
Suddenly, a wicked smile appeared on her face. “Why have I not thought of that sooner?”
She laughed creepily in the bedroom as she went to take her shower.
…
Meanwhile, Hue that was wrapped like a meatball in the thick blanket, flinched with uneasiness. Goosebumps crept into every corner of his body.
“Why am I having this uneasiness in my chest?” he mumbled. He could feel an unwanted foreboding future would be approaching soon.
He shook his head, “No, I am not an easy prey no matter how formidable she may think she is. I will foil her plan first if she tries to ruin me.”
However, instead of foiling her plan, it was his plan that was foiled because after he had a shower, Jennet enthusiastically forced him to wear oversized, pink coloured overalls that she claimed to be the only clothing that suit his height. Strawberry patterns were printed all over it.
His image went down the gutter when his long hair was tied into two high ponytails and his bang was clipped with a cute strawberry hairclip. On his feet, there were furry slippers, and he questioned why humans had weird tastes about their footwear nowadays. When he looked at his image in the mirror, he nearly got a heart attack because he looked like a woman. His manly pride shattered to million pieces at the transformation he had.
“You look so amazing, Huena!” Jennet exclaimed as she took a couple of his pictures in excitement. Her eyes shone brightly over her brilliance into transforming the man into someone else.
“Who is Huena?” he asked flatly with a sullen look. He already had a bad feeling about that name.
“It’s you,” Jennet explained excitedly. “It’s your nickname.”
Hue’s jaws dropped in disbelief. ‘Why are you so eager to turn your husband into a woman? Are you so opposed to the fact that I am your husband?’ he cried within in mind.
Jennet gazed at him and smiled again. For the first time in so many years, she had so much fun ‘bullying’ someone who had all of the good-look packages.
“I will be calling you Huena from now on,” she said and tied pink ribbons over the rubber bands on his hair. Then, she forced him to smile as she took another picture of him. She giggled happily behind him as if she did a good job with the makeover.
Hue grumbled inwardly before the mirror. He felt sick looking at himself, groomed into a woman by his wife.
‘I will make you pay double for the trouble you caused me today,’ he grumbled sullenly. He gave her a piercing side look, ‘Well, enjoy yourself to the fullest, my dear wife. When my time comes, you will suffer my sweet wrath.’ He laughed deep within the abyss of his blackened heart.
Not to worry though, he had plenty of time to play around with her too. He would take his time to enjoy the moment, and he would take his revenge in another form that would make him happy.
…
After giving Hue the brilliant transformation, Jennet forgot all about the uneasiness and the awkwardness that she felt about him. Her fear vanished into thin air and, she worked swiftly in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for the two of them.
In her head, she visualized him as her female teacher who came to evaluate her cooking skills.
Hue sat at the dining table with cheeks in his palms as he watched Jennet working flawlessly with the cooking utensils. His eyes shone with adoration, forgetting his anger for a while.
Less than ten minutes, a hearty triple layered sandwich was served on the table. Jennet placed a plate of it before him. “Enjoy. It’s the only menu that I can prepare in a whiff for the two of us,” she said and sat down to eat her fill. She was too happy to notice the adoration in his eyes.
Hue noticed that she ate faster than usual and he spoke softly, “Eat slowly, don’t choke on your food.” He had no idea that she was chasing the time for work. ‘Eat properly because there are possibilities that you won’t be able to eat properly every morning in the near future,’ he snickered inwardly as he placed a glass of milk beside her plate.
Jennet raised her head after thanking him for the milk. A frown appeared on her face as she directed him a question. “Why aren’t you eating, Huena?” She glanced at his plate that was untouched since earlier.
“Oh, don’t mind me.” He chuckled with a wave of his hand, hiding the fact that he was annoyed to be addressed as Huena.
“Is this breakfast not to your palate?” Jennet asked innocently.
“No, no.” He chuckled. “I want to enjoy the moment where I can watch you eat. Can I do that while we are together?”
Jennet stopped munching as she eyed the sandwich in her hands.
