22 We hurried across the land and to the remains of the village, or what used to be the remains. The village itself was twice as large as it was in the past and was no longer surrounded by the wall of posts. The place was illuminated by a row of lamps that followed the main road, and people walked to and fro enjoying the eateries and pubs. The lamps led to the great house which was still the same size and surrounded its beautiful gardens. One difference in the center of the village gave us pause, and smiles. It was a stone statue of a group of very familiar people. Three of the figures stood around the back of the most prominent one who held a box in their hands. I blinked at the faces that stared over the village with kind eyes and smiles. “Is that. . .is that us?” Sage nodded.
