Third person p.o.v
Freya was lazily packing for her school trip. It was going to be a whole week long and although she is excited to explore other parts of the world, she was sad to be leaving Zion. He had previously expressed to her that he didn't want her going on this trip anymore and instead wanted her at his house cuddled into his side. The statement was sweet and as much as Freya wished for that too, she needed to go out on her own and experience it for herself. Zion would be here when she got back.
The school had told the students attending the trip that they would be leaving very early the following morning. Of course Freya had left her packing to the very last minuet because she kept getting distracted and every time she started, she would get sad thinking about prolonging the next time she would see Zion. The last time she saw him was her birthday weekend that he took her on and it had now been 2 weeks since then. Her parents had gotten unbelievably strict since then. It worried her because it made her think that they knew what occurred on that weekend with Zion.
Zion had only gotten slightly closer to finding out who had been stealing from his company. He had it narrowed down to about 50 suspects which is a lot but considering they started with over 1,000, they had done fairly well so far. This made him a little easier to be around since his temper was no longer out of control but he still wasn't being sought out by anyone for fear of being verbally attacked.
It was now almost midnight and Zion had been tossing and turning in his sleep for the past few hours. Grumbling in dissatisfaction, he got out of bed and drove to Freya's house. She had told him earlier that her parents had an event to go to tonight and wouldn't be home until late so she was concerned about feeling lonely. Now this was not necessarily an invite for him to go see her but he didn't want his baby sad and he missed her.
Pulling up, he sent out a silent prayer that her parents were still out. He considered knocking on the door but determined it would be too risky so he took his chances by opening the door which to his luck, was unlocked. Climbing up the stairs and taking a giant sigh of relief, he felt his heart race at the thought of being able to hold Freya at least once more before she leaves.
