Chapter 3 DOLCE

JACE POV

Walking into the kitchen Emma is at the counter sulking steering at her cereal. 

"Hey Ems whats up?"

"JJ I cant eat this" she gestures with eyes and shoves the bowl away "it only has dad cereal, YUCK"

I laugh at her and ask "Do you wanna go to the drive thru at Dolce's for breakfast?"

"Good Morning, Princess where are you two planning on going so early?" Eros says walking in.

"Morning daddy, I've made breakfast for you" she jumps up kiss him on the cheek, and with a big smile she shoves the bowl of cereal to him "Oh dad JJ and I are going out, bye" but before she can step out.

Eros "Wait right there, where are you two going? What time will you be back? Take two of our security with you. Can you two make some time for a lunch meeting? Yes Emma you too!  And Jace you have that meeting for nine tonight I wont be there so its up to you to hand it" he nods at me. He don't usually call us by our names somethings up.

Emma "Lunch ... Meeting ... ME! Dad where ... I don't like it"

Eros "Princess its with the party planner. I wont be able to coordinate with both of you and the party planner once school starts on Monday"

Emma "Dad what ever you and Jace wants its fine by me. I'll make sure to ready and show up for it."

"Ems I think your dad just wanna know if there is anything special you would like to have at the party or any theme, what you would like for decorations ... you know party stuff." I turn to Eros "Tio we're just going through  the drive thru so an hour but we'll take Mike and James and do I have to be there for lunch cuz ... I ... kinder ..."

Eros "You two are something else, I feel like its my party. Jace your turning eighteen a milestone and Emma fourteen!" He paused and steers at us for awhile, "you know what ... Jace just get a suit and Emma I'll get a Stylist to organize a few thing for you to choose from." with that he head out.

Emma turns and smiles "JJ I'm gonna put on my converse I'll meet you in front"

When I got my licence last year Eros told me I can use anything in the garage, there was one vehicle no one ever used so I started using it and fixing it up. Its a 2005 BMW E46 M3 Alpine White with 18″ Satin Black APEX ARC8 Square it my baby. I pulled up in front the guys sat in the back and Emma in the passenger seat beside me. The drive for breakfast we listened to music but occasionally Emma would look at me and giggle and what can I say I could not help it I joined in. I would then look at Mike and James in the rear view mirror in the backseat and their face is priceless. Picture two bulky dudes cramp up in my backseat. 

Emma does not really come out often, in the past two years apart from school and the occasional dinner she is home. Very few people knows who she is or who daughter she is and Eros likes that. Pulling into Dolce's the drive thru was closed and I noticed the Range Rover parked at the front. The Santiago's, let just say we don't see eye to eye,  there were a few incidents with Marcello and I over Heather and it didn't end well and Eros and Mateo, Marcello's dad are business rivals.

When I started school I was the skinny tall kid and he was dating Heather. I had a few classes with her and somehow we were partners or in the same group for projects, he had to establish himself as the alpha male so I took a few beat downs until the guys stated training me in the gym and in kick boxing. They said to defend myself and after out two falling-out the beating he got he back off. He and Heather broke up she said he always blamed her of being with me so she might as well just be with me. I was ecstatic, because she's amazing even though she doesn't know everything about me or my family.

We walked in and I saw the twins Edwin and Ethen they are about Emma's age. I don't know much about them except what Heather said about them, they're not as tightly wound up as Marcello. Edwin is the goofball in the set she said and Ethen never talks, to her at least, 'quiet' is the word she used. James and Mike stiffened up on seeing them sitting in the boot by the window with two other guys. Then they give me a look, I know all to well.

"JJ can we eat here?" Emma says breaking my trail of taught.

"NO" before I can think about it the world came out a little to harsh, and I saw something in her eye not sure if she was shocked or confused or hurt. 

"Ok" she whispered, I have never told her no and the first time I do it comes out so harsh. 'Good one Jace, how do you fix this?'

"Ems ... Sorry if it came out to harsh but I told your dad we'll be back in an hour and I have to meet someone for lunch."

"I just thought we could have breakfast here cuz I didn't go anywhere this entire summer and school starts in four days and ..."

"Ok fine" how can I say not to her, "but we eat fast". She smiled ear to ear. She knows she own me lol god I hope those asshole stay in their lane.

We sat in the boot behind them, James and Mike backs to them, not a good idea but Emma sat first on the side facing them. When I looked up I don't know which one but one of the twin was staring straight at Emma and it didn't sit well with me while one of their guys who sat next to him whispered to him. His eyes bulged, I guess its the reaction to what ever his guy said.

All sorts of thoughts flood my brain but I pushed it down and stayed alert and try not to ignore Emma before I get a pout from her.
