Chapter 7 BIG BOY

JACE POV

Marco is in his thirty's no wife no kids at least non he knows about, he's like an uncle who hangs out with you all the time and thinks he's young. He took me under his wing and taught me how to fight and defend myself, he also showed me a thing or two how to handle a gun which comes in handy. Tonight should be simple enough, him, Cecile and I are going to one of the clubs Eros owns, the manager needs to be aware of Eros's concerns.

The reason Eros is so good at what he does is because he's so meticulous when it comes to keeping things separate especially when it comes to washing the money. In the past month there were a few incidents where people OD'd at the club and 2 cases the person died. Eros finds its drawing to much heat to that club and want's to get to the bottom of it before it escalates. Eros thinks there can be two reasons this keep happening either someone is dealing in the club or the club is dealing and if that's the case it needs to be handled. After dinner the guys and I will swing buy the club bout nine.

The club is closed today so I just wear a blue jeans white t shirt and denim jacket paired with my white Nike Air Force 1 and I tuck Lara in my left side waist. She's a 9mm Glock 19, a gift from Marco on my seventeenth. You probably asking yourself why name her Lara well I was obsessed with Tomb Raider on playstation just around that time, so I named her Lara. I looked out and saw Emma reading in balcony she looked so engrossed in that book. She made a friend today, good for her, I'll still keep my eye out for her in school.

The guys followed in a Black Escalade while I'm in my car. We parked in front and I noticed in the ally a Chevrolet 3500 one of those Express Vans, I assume it was a delivery but didn't pay to much attention to it. With the guys on tow we made our way to Danny the Managers office. We walked in and he's sitting by his desk, a guy standing on the left next to him, one on the inside of the door and another on the single chair in the sitting area he has. I've been here a few time for pick ups and drop offs and I never noticed the three guys in his office.

Danny walks over to me and shakes my hand "Jace, we were expecting Eros, so whats this all about." Then guide me to sit on the love seat. Marco sits with me while he nods to Cecile indicating to stand by the door.

'Did he just say we' "Yeah I figured since we were in the neighborhood I could handle things and he could spend some time home. Anyway I'll get straight to the point, did you investigated the death of the girl last week." 

Danny looks over to the guy back at his desk and I find it peculiar then says, "Yeah the cop said it was an overdose"

I look over to Marco and he gives me a look I only recognize as be ready, but for what. "Danny, Danny, I asked if you did you due diligence not the cops? Eros doesn't need any attention being drawn to any of his establishments. To my knowledge you were aware of that before you took up the Managers position."

Danny, "Look at you, all grown up now, wearing your big boy pants. Don't worry kid I have it handled. This is not my first rodeo. Some stupid b***h couldn't handle her crack that's all."

I'm a little annoyed at that statement but I let it slide, I clear my throat before I continue, "Listen if I have to do your job for you, we will have a problem. Its not just one, but two people died and five were hospitalized after partying here and all the cases, they said they bought the s**t product from someone in here, so I don't think its one b***h. You know Eros doesn't want anyone dealing here, and I'm sure there is no product delivered here, so if its not some worm sneaking in and dealing on the low, I would assume you're the one selling and it not our product so WHO THE f**k ARE YOU INVOLVED WITH"

Before he can answer I see the guy in the single chair opposite me reach in his jacket, but I don't twice I reach for Lara and loose off two shoots in his chest. The guys behind the desk open fire in out direction. Marco grabs me and dives shooting in his direction. I looked toward Danny and the little worm is trying to take the gun from his buddy I just ended, I fired in his direction. Only one hit him before he could hide behind the couch. Marco pointed to the door when I looked I didn't see Cecile or the other guy. While the guy behind the desk change his magazine we made a run for the door. 

Just as we're out the door I he starts firing all I hear apart from the shots is Marco yelling "RUN KID" 

We made our way to the VIP section and I look over and see Cecile with his gun in his had walking toward the Exit, so I pulled out my phone and message him to meet us out front and have the van ready. I look over at Marco and I see blood by his ear but before I could open my mouth he says "the fucker nicked my ear, don't worry about it." We slowly crept down the staircase and made a run for it across the dance floor just as we were off the guy who was looking for us opened fire one hit Marco in the shoulder as we ran to the exit. 

Out front I only saw my car but didn't hesitate. I ran to the driver side, open the door, jumped in and start the car. It was only then I saw six guy jumped out the van in the allay and all armed to the teeth. I opened to passenger door and yelled to Marco to hurry up. As soon as he was in I hit the gas. The men in the ally opened fire on us but I ducked and tried to get out of there.

Marco "f**k f**k f**k" 

Me "WHO THE f**k ARE THEY" ..... "MARCO WHAT THE f**k JUST HAPPEN" ..."MARCO" ... "MARCO"

Only when Marco didn't say anything I look over to him and notice the blood all over him. With no time to think I call Eros. He picked up after two rings and I don't give him chance to talk "TIO TIO MARCO'S BEEN SHOT, DANNY DOUBLE CROSSED US TIO MARCO'S LOOSING A LOT OF BLOOD"

Eros, "Jace, JACE calm down get home as fast as you can I'll have the doctor waiting, Jace are you ok." (No Answer) "JACE, I NEED YOU TO TELL ME IF YOU'RE OK" 

I sob "I'm ok Tio but... but Marco"

Eros, "Its ok son get here as fast as you can."
