Chapter 6 EMMA

EMMA POV

Jace just dropped me of I think he has a date. Maybe that's why he was upset at Dolce. Even on our way home he was cold. May be I made him late.

About Dolce what was with that guy. I never felt like that. It was ... I cant explain it.. 'Ethen' That's his name. Ethen that's the first time someone has looked at me like that. We bumped into each other and he held my waist, so firm but gentle, it felt intimate. No one ever touched me like that. I touch his chest. I touched him. He's tall and smelt good, kinder woodsy. Okay, why am I thinking about him.

"Emma... Emma" dad voice brought me back to reality.

"Hey dad Jace just dropped me off and left. I'm heading up to my room K"

"Emma is everything okay, I just called out to you a few times before you answered?" 

"Oh yeah dad, was just doing a mental check of stuff to do before Monday." 'Liar' my subconscious yell.  

"Why Monday, whats happening?"

"School dad"

"Oh about that, I know it a new school and you'll be alone so I have a friend who's daughter will be a Freshman as well. Actually they recently move here and she doesn't know anyone princess, so I would appreciate if you can_"

"Dad you sure its not your way of putting someone to watch me, I don't know"

"Emma Russo you know I would tell you if someone would be watching you ... Jace will be doing that enough." he laughed

"Okay dad, I'll try, it wouldn't hurt if I made a friend" I said with a toothy smile which he knows is fake.

"Great I will have him bring his daughter when he comes later, that will be around three if suits you."

"Yeah yeah yeah that's good with me"

Before he springs anything else on me I head up. Well it eleven so I have four hours before my guess arrive. Maybe I should take a nap. I snuggle up under my blanket and closed my eyes. I see green eyes staring at me. I open my eyes 'what the hell is wrong with me'. 

Ethen why are you on my mind. You are handsome. Clearly you don't get out or else you would not be looking at me if you know whats good for you . If you knew who my dad was you would run. I laughed with myself and closed my eye and drifted off dreaming of those green eyes.

Before heading down I give myself a once over. Not to bad, I decided to wear a navy blue short sleeve loose tunic summer dress with pockets and a tassel hem with brown sandals. I don't really wear makeup so just moisturizer and lip gloss and my hair is in a messy bun and I'm ready. 

As I walk toward the living room I heard my dad's voice. Crap they're here already. Walking in my dad had this shocked look on his face for a brief second but quickly changes it to a broad smile. 

"Here come sit princess" I nod and sat next to him then greeted the man, I'm assuming its his friend with I'm guessing its his daughter next to him with a "Good afternoon"

Eros, "Oh Emma no need to be so formal, This is my very close friend Luca Vecoli and his daughter Nicole. He's been handling most of my oversea business and of recently I ask him to join me here to get some stuff sorted out." 

I just said "Hi" not knowing what to say.

Eros "Emma why doing you show Nicole around while Luca and I talk business in my office"

"Sure dad'' I said not to enthusiastic.

The tour I gave Nicole wasn't a cribs tour nope it was more like me taking her to a room and saying 'this is the kitchen' 'this is the study' 'dad's office is down the hall' it was pretty boring. I didn't take her up stairs but while sitting in the kitchen it was quiet, to quiet so to break the silence I said, "The first floor has the rooms for the guys who worked for my dad. They kinder lived here Marco, James, Mikey, Ceile and a few others and our bedrooms are on the second floor dad, Jace and I. downstairs is the gym and a lounge which opens up to another outdoor lounge, grill/ kitchen and the pool. On the other side of the pool is the pool house. Yep that's about it."

I was fiddling with my fingers when out from no where she burst out laughing, then she say, "Look if you don't want me bothering you its fine we can just sit and wait for our dad's to finish their 'business' its fine by me"

"No its not that I'm not use to being around anyone but dad and Jace ... I don't know what I should say and you're not exactly being helpful by the way sitting there not saying a word"

"Sorry its just you're my dad's boss daughter and I just wanted to feel you out before I opened my mouth cuz I tend to get myself in trouble for my mouth but you seem cool."

Nicole  looks down and plays with her phone and start talking "So Emma, I'm new in town and I don't know anyone and if you want we can hang out sometimes and maybe at least I could say I have one friend here"

I smile ear to ear looking at her "Nicole I will really like that ... to have a friend."

After that talking to Nicole seemed so easy I think this is what I was missing having someone my age around and a girl. Nicole did most of the talking she told me she didn't want to come today because she thought I was a stuck up spoil rich kid and did not expect this what ever this was. Time flew by fast when dad call and said to meet them out front her dad was ready. While on our was we passed Jace on his way in I'm guessing his date didn't go to well because it was almost six and he was home already. Jace passed he rubbed my head and called out to me "Princess" and continued walking but as soon as he did Nicole stared at me wide eyed and mouthed "who is that'' I chuckled and whispered "that's Jace" she then mouthed "he's H O T T hott" I just laughed by that time we we're out the door where my dad and Luca. They said their good byes but before for they left Nicole asked my dad if Saturday I can accompany her to the mall and he said "Sure if its okay with Emma I'll make the necessary arrangements" I give dad a nod saying yes. 

Dad held me to his side with a big smile on his face and not a fake a one. This was a real smile not I'm putting on a smile for you princess smile. I smiled back asking him "is everything alright dad." and he looked down and replied "where did you get this dress I like it, it nice to see you in a dress"

"Oh dad you're to much and by the way Nicole is cool"

"I realized you two hit it off, I'm glad you made a friend Princess"

For the rest of the evening I grabbed a book, sat in a lounge chair on the balcony and at some point I drifted off. I was awoken by a loud engine when I looked down I saw Jace car speeding up the driveway.  He never drives like that on the compound, I had a bad feeling somethings not right.
