CHAPTER 3 - She said yes

Simone POV How dare he took advantage of me in this situation? My brain was angry, but my body couldn’t say the same. His lips were fighting for dominance over me, I tried to push him at first, but it was no use since he was stronger than me. I’ve never been kissed before by any man, dad would kill any man who wanted to make a move on me. Having my first kiss experience with Alpha Marcus proved to be quite thrilling. I couldn’t quite describe how I feel about his kiss. It was intense as if he ignited a fire inside of me. Is this what they called by mate connection? I highly doubt that. It also scared me a little since I don’t know how to respond to his kisses, so I just threw him back when he was off guard. I ran away from him, but before I know it, he jumped in front of me and pinned me back to the tree. “Not so fast, Simone. Where do you think you’re going?” he said in an amused tone. I tried to shook off his hands, “Let go of me!” I managed to pull one hand and slapped him hard on his right cheek. His eyes went a shade darker. By the look of it, I knew that I just pissed him off. He pinned both of my hands to the side of my head. “You know what? The more you refused me, the more I won’t let you go.” He stated in a challenging tone. He then pulled me back into a kiss. He must’ve sensed that I want him too. Unlike the last time, I let him kiss me and devour my lips like it was his last meal on earth. This is the first time that I felt wanted by a man. “Kiss me back, Simone.” He said in between the kisses. The inexperienced me kept silent at his request. “I don’t…how?” I finally asked him. His eyes went wide at my words, “You’ve never been kissed before? Are you kidding me?” He asked in disbelief. “You can still call this thing off if you don’t like it,” I told him. This might be a blessing in disguise for me. He chuckled as he finds my words highly amusing. “On the contrary, you make me want you even more than before.” He hissed. “Close your eyes, and just follow my lead.” His words were surprisingly tender this time. He then inched towards me. This time he went slow for me. His slow kisses were even more intoxicating. I voluntarily closed my eyes at the out of the world sensation that he gave me. His lips were guiding me, and I tried my best to meet his rhythm—both of his hands pulling my waist even closer to him if that’s even possible. His hands went down to my left breast. Nobody ever touches me this sensually, especially on that part. I jolted back into reality when he suddenly stopped kissing me. “Let’s go back to the party and get engage first, shall we?” He stretches his hands, waiting for me to receive them. It might sound crazy, but I like how my body reacts when he’s touching me. I took his hands, and we were both walks back to my house, still holding each other’s hand. As we walked back, I can’t help but steal a glance at him occasionally. He was a perfect creature sculpted by God, and he would be my fiancée tonight. All of it felt surreal for me. I wonder if it’s okay to get married over a physical attraction? I barely know him, and it was still a long way to go for me to say the three magic words to him. He stared back at me, shaking me up from my own thought. “Am I too handsome for you?” he asked cockily as he ran his finger on his hair. I rolled back my eyes. I hate the fact that he was right. I never saw a man that was as beautiful as him. He was quite a catch, actually. But then I won’t tell him about that. My eyes traveled to his neck. The biting mark that was bleeding a moment ago now has vanished. “How did you do that?” I asked him as we entered the gate of my house. “Do what?” he asked in confusion. “Your neck, I just bite your neck, and it was bleeding a few moments ago,” I told him. He checked the wounded part with his other hand, “I’m the Alpha. I can recover quickly, twice the speed from the usual werewolf.” He states proudly. His recovery speed was very impressive. If it was me, maybe it can take at least three days to recover from a bite mark as deep as that. “Well, it’s good to know since we were about to involve in many fights in the future. My brothers are not a good match for me.” I told him. He suddenly yanked my hand, making me startled. “I don’t want you to get into any fight! I will protect you, Simone. Do you understand?” He stated in a firm tone. He scared me a little with his possessiveness. Now I know why dad like him. They’re both alike. As we’re both walked into the room, all eyes were turning on us. I saw dad curved a smile as he saw us holding each other’s hands. It must be a good sign. Marcus led me back to him. “Alpha Alex, I want to ask your daughter Simone for a marriage. I hope you can fulfill my wish.” He stated confidently. “You got my blessing, Alpha Marcus,” Dad replied firmly. From his expression, I can tell that he was about to cry. But he can’t be weak in front of the pack. Marcus then turned around and kneeled down on one knee in front of me. He pulled out a small velvet box from his pocket. My jaw dropped after I saw a gold diamond ring sitting nicely inside of it. “Simone Johnson, will you marry me?” I never thought that he would go to such an extent. He even buys me a ring. I saw a lady in my pack passed out after hearing his not so romantic proposal, while the other kept shouting “Yes! Yes! Yes!” at me. My face blushed. I’ve never felt this embarrassed before in my entire life. I don’t know what I was getting myself into, but I was willing to try with him. “Yes,…” I finally said, earning a handsome smile from him. He put the ring on my finger and kissed me in front of my pack. The crowds cheered at us. I quickly pulled away as I saw dad’s body getting tense at the view. I grinned sheepishly at him. I don’t think he will ever get used to a man touching his daughter.
