When we finally stopped laughing, I realized I’d done the same thing he did. I blurted it out without stopping to think.
“I shouldn’t have told you guys that,” I said quickly. “I don’t think he even knows he said it.”
“Why not?” Peyton asked.
I shrugged and looked at the six women I’d known for an hour. Not that Peyton and I were old friends, or Kiana and I, but at least I’d had dinner with them and knew their last names.
