I told Kiana I would help out at the rehearsal dinner if she needed it. The whole crew from Winterville, along with the new group from MacKellar Cove were all going to be there. With everyone from Ke’aloha pitching in, we could take care of them, but it was a big party. They had the wedding the next night covered, but the rehearsal dinner was added on and they were short-staffed.
Kiana welcomed the help and asked if I was willing to be a server for dinner. Since I waited tables in high school and college, I told her I would be happy to help out.
I dressed in the standard solid black, but opted for a dress instead of pants and long sleeved. Kiana said I could wear whatever I wanted, and it made me feel like I could take on the world. Something I needed the courage to do.
