HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN PERFUME:
This is a simple recipe for making perfume at home. Just use your favorite garden flowers.
** What you'll need **
• 1 cup of water
• 1 cup of fresh flower petals, chopped.
• Muslin square (a clean cotton dishcloth will work, too)
• Bowl and saucepan
• Pretty Bottle
** What to do **
1) Spread the muslin in the bowl, letting the edges hang over the rim.
2) Fill with the flower petals and cover them with water.
3) Cover with a plate and let stand overnight.
4) The next day, carefully lift the muslin cloth out of the bowl and squeeze the scented water into a saucepan.
5) Get an adult to help you gently heat the scented water until only about 1/4 cup remains.
6) Leave to cool, then pour into your pretty bottle.
7) Dab on your perfume and smell gorgeous,. Kept in the fridge, this perfume should last for up to a month.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR CLOTHES SMELL NICE:
• Air out your clothes at the end of each day by putting them on a clothes hanger or on the back of a chair near an open window. Place your shoes on the windowsill at the same, which will help prevent any unpleasant smells from developing.
• Place scented dryer sheets in your shoes when you're not wearing them to keep the smelling fresh.
• Unwrap a bar of scented soap and place it in the bottom of your closet as an instant clothes freshener.
• Add a few drops of perfume to the final rinse of your wash. Your clothes, sheets, and towels will all smell sweet and fragrant.
** Glamour Girl Tip **
--- Never, ever mix up clean clothes and dirty ones. Put dirty clothes into a laundry bag or basket right away so they are ready to be washed.
