Sasha’s POV “SASHA!!!!” My mother yells from the kitchen. I hate mornings, specially Monday mornings. It’s my birthday, a girl should be able to skip school on her birthday! I’m turned 18 today but mom always says knowledge is the key to everything, the more you know the more value you hold in life. I’m a werewolf from the Sacred Moon Pack in New Jersey. I can hear my mom walking up the stairs due to my werewolf hearing. “Hurry mom’s coming!” I hear a voice in my head that makes me jump and fall from the bed. “Who’s there?” I look around my room. “It’s me silly, Snow! Your wolf!” I can’t believe it I finally have my wolf. “I can’t wait to see what you look like. “Me either.”Snow replies. Suddenly my bedroom door opens and there stands my mom. “Sasha did you not hear me calling you down to breakfast?” She says looking at me with a serious look on her face. My mom Laura Ramirez is 5’3 with brown eyes and short wavy hair and curvy. My mom an omega with a fiery spirit. She’s the head cook at the pack house. No one cooks better than my mom. “Good morning ma! I was just getting up when you called me.” I told her. “Well hurry up, if I have to come back up here to get you again, you and I will have some serious problems, entiendes (understand)?” “Yes, ma. I’m going to be down in a few minutes.” My mom leaves and I hear Snow chuckling in my head. “I love mom but she’s scary, how can someone so tiny be that scary?” I laugh because it’s true. I go into the bathroom and begin getting ready for school. This is my last year and I can’t wait for it to be over. My graduation is one week away, so we have finals this week. I wear a black t-shirt, fitted blue jeans and my black combat boots. I leave my brown curls down, put on some eyeliner to make my amber eyes pop, and some lip gloss and head downstairs for breakfast. When I get down stairs, my dad Raymond Ramirez and brother are already at the table eating. My dad is 6ft tall with black hair, brown eyes and muscular. Well he should be since he’s a warrior. My brother is younger than me, he’s 16 and his name is Omar. He has my mother’s face but my father’s build. He’s 5’9 with dimples. I’m a mixture of my parents as well but at 5’5 I definitely didn’t get my father’s height but I got my mother’s curves and attitude. “Buenos días viejo (good morning old man”! I say to my dad. “So did you hear your wolf yet?” My dad asks me. “Yes, her name is Snow.” I said. My mom says from the kitchen, “ I can’t wait to meet her when you phase tonight! My little girl is becoming a woman!” My family is very close, we come from a big family originally from El Salvador. My dad just looks at her and shakes his head laughing. After breakfast, Omar and I leave to pick up Lola before school. My best friend Lola’s house is down the street. She’s 18, 5’5 with super long curly hair, plump lips, and grey eyes. Lola is friendlier than I am. I prefer to read books and listen to music. I hate small talk and people easily annoy me. I’ve been told that I’m too honest and that I shouldn’t blurt out everything I’m thinking. Lola jumps in my red 2014 CLA 250 4matic Mercedes Benz and we head to school listening to some Reggaeton. It takes us about 20 mins to get to the school. We park and start to head inside. Omar turns to us and says he’s going to head to class while we go to our lockers. Jess and Cyn walk up over to our locker. They are our best friends. Jess and Cyn usually ride together since they live right next door to each other. We head to our first class English with Mr. Cooper. Mr. Cooper closes the door and begins handing out our final test. Suddenly, the classroom door opens and in walks in Ezra and Brittany. I smell the most intoxicating scent of Sandalwood and Rain. I feel someone staring at me, I start to look around when my eyes lock with Ezra, the soon to be alpha of Sacred Moon Pack. “MATE!!!” Snow howls in my head and I can’t believe it. The soon to be Alpha is my mate. Ezra doesn’t say anything, he looks at me with confusion. Brittany, Ezra’s girlfriend and my biggest bully. I hate that b***h. I never understood what her problem is with me but she definitely goes out her way to make my life a living hell. She’s a beautiful girl but her personality and attitude makes her so f*****g ugly. Brittany sees Ezra staring at me so she grabs his face and gives him a kiss in front of everyone but mostly me. Snow whimpers in my head. I feel a pain in chest and it’s getting harder to breathe. You see when you meet your mate and they are intimate with someone else you can physically feel the pain of betrayal. A low growl escapes my lips and Mr. Cooper finally decides to say something to Ezra and Brittany, “Brittany, Ezra can please take your seats or continue your make out session somewhere else”. Ezra snaps out of it and takes a seat next to Brittany. “ I’m going to rip her throat out if she touches my mate again with her nasty lips!” Snow growls in my head. “ We can’t do that Snow, she is the beta’s daughter.” I need to get out of here, how can Ezra be my mate? He would never accept me as his Luna. He doesn’t bully me but he has never stood up for me either. Mr. Cooper lets us know that the test will begin in 5 mins and says once we are done we are free to go. I finish my test as quick as I can. I mindlink Lola, “Meet me at our spot when you’re done with the test.” I don’t wait for her response, I know she will be there. I close the mindlink and head to the library. What am I going to do?
